Maybe I have grossly underestimated the power of classical music, but this is the first time when I started to cry bitterly while listening to a song. This, in spite of the fact that I don't understand the lyrics. Music, culture and its people are the three bridges which link our two nations together, the sooner we realize this truth the better for both of us. All these 6 decades of fight and hatred have yielded nothing, lets now start working for a better tomorrow : a better India and a better Pakistan!

I won't comment on the poetry or singing or compostion because even praising them is beyond the realm of my capabilities but I have to say Fareed Sahib's physical performance and expressions have indeed elevated this already incomparable qawalli to the level where not seeing his face while listening to this makes it feel incomplete)

If anything can send you to ecstasy, its song like this. Not everyone is lucky enough to realize that. Was in a trance mode. Its amazing that such music is recreated thanks to legacy of Khusrau sahab. Music has NO BOUNDARY and NO RELIGION, not everyone can realize that too. Lucky to be part of this fraternity.
Greetings to the DUO and Rohail sahab. Love and Respect from INDIA....

When ever i come across these type of soulful renditions of any genre (most of the times i listen to only subcontinent) , i always wonder why these performances get any dislikes. I am not criticizing anyone's opinion. Of course, everybody has the right to have an opinion until and unless it hurts somebody and its against the law of nature. But what fault could they find in these people performances, who has put their each and every part of body, heart and soul in the music and they sing as one with the GOD. I would like to find the reason from the person who has disliked it.(just interested to know).

Not everyone's ears' or sensibilities - or consciousness- is tuned thus..
this is the point about Sufi or Ecstatic music: if you are not ready or willing to be led to the Divine-it will pass you over or even alienate you... : )
