with all these updates to the absolutely stellar TR-8S, i actually wouldn't be surprised if roland added a 303-style filter on there, or even an entire 303 bass machine, like the one on the T-8.

I totally agree with you. I would be very happy to be able to control all of these parameters externally via MIDI.
Having a 303 bass on here would be awesome. And not having it seems like an oversight.
