  • With my fitness coming back 'on stream' after the Haute Route Dolomites and the Porlock Hill Climbs, late on I decided for a final hit out in Italy - taking on the UCI Granfondo Tre Valli Varesine, one of the oldest classics in Europe, with an enticing looking Goldilocks course, not too long and not too short - comprising 125km and 2200m of elevation... on closed roads an in a truly sublime part of Italy (just north of Milan).
The objective was simple - pace it intelligently and give it my max!! Fast & Furious ensued !!
