  • Following on from the video, Why You Must Ride Italy's Oldest Cycling Classic, I thought it would be fun to provide the raw film from the event, start to finish, with power overlay to provide a distraction for the long endurance rides on the Turbo Trainer, or for those wanting to enter the event, to undertake a little recce from the comfort of your own home. This video comprises 100 mins of film captured on the day (basically x2 GoPro batteries worth). I hope you enjoy and can see why I loved this Fondo!

It's filmed in such a way that it evokes the feeling of actually being in the saddle especially when it on a larger screen...😃💯👋🚴💪

Great idea Phil. I think if I download the GPX file from your strava ride, I can load that into my Wahoo Bolt and use it to control the Kickr Bike to simulate the gradient of the actual ride, so long as I don't look out of the window, I could almost be there 😎

That’s a really nice idea Lee !! What app do you download into for the bolt to instruct the Kickr ?

@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy You wouldn't require an app; if you save the strava ride as a route and star it, then sync the bolt so it downloads the route, then connect the bolt to the kickr bike (add the bike as a sensor to the bolt), spin the pedals a bit and eventually the bolt beeps and has a page available for the kickr bike. On this page you can interact with the bike in various modes, one being 'sim mode' whereby you select a route (on the bolt) to simulate on the bike, there are other modes such as just setting the watts and loading a workout 👍
