- Blade and Sorcery just put out The End update and it's the full release of Blade and Sorcery. The long awaited Gem Hunt update. It's Blade and Sorcery 1.0. After all these years being one of the best VR games without ever being an actual VR game, just a VR melee combat sandbox with VR melee gameplay so good it felt like a game. Well now it has looting, exploration, progression, the whole thing. And overall... yeah it's a pretty good VR game.

Last night I had a fight in the Citadel. I was certain I'd killed almost everyone, but the music kept going. I barely saw the last enemy just before she used a gravity spell to send me flying over the cliff. Thankfully I slammed into the cliffside, which had enough castle bricks and crags for me to grab and slow myself down just before hitting the point of no return. I climbed back up, muttering "fucking mages" as I went. Got back to the top, found the mage, chopped her arm off, then tossed her off the cliff.
Blade & Sorcery's awesome.
Mages are the worst enemy, prove me wrong
The number of times I have yelled “I hate mages!” In this game is pretty high.
I'd say the worst enemies are the eye's archers, if you don't have a free hand to catch them homing arrows are really hard to dodge
@@mecalico4647 I usually don't have problems with them, the only way to block a mage's lightning blast is by hiding or blocking

@@RiotousHail he means something equivalent to the nether update where it completely revamped the nether, but for the end update it would revamp the end.

Honestly, at this point if Minecraft ever gets a "complete version", I will be utterly terrified because that means the world is finally ending.

I beat the new update today, and I gotta say it was so worth it. I full spec'd into mind (slow motion), Gravity, and physical (cuz being a wookie is fun). I started with a sword and ended without any weapons and just punching people into low orbit as a gravity battle mage. I love the new upgrades SOOOOOOOOO much

The gravity skills are so powerful and fun to use
@@davidlewis2171 for real, even with base gravity you can slam things into walls repeatedly (using two hands or a staff), but when you spec entirely into it, you can throw people into the air and slam them, or use the staff to turn enemies into literal weapons.
I mean the final upgrade is literally an anti gravity bubble that can also have time slow on top.
Lightning is really cool just because of the ability to shoot a strong lightning bolt at people. It makes me feel like emperor palpatine.
Gravity and mind is a hell of a power trip, you can fly around with gravity, ignoring fall damage and going **UP** while you throw people around with telekinesis
I did the exact same but ended with a staff and throwing knives. unlocking force punch and putting a plate glove on my right hand was a game changer

It is and it's fun. Maybe it'll get repetitive eventually but I just beat it for the third time and it's so cool climbing it, activating slomo, and stabbing its crystal with your weapon.
@@AverageJoe1999 I definitely gotta give it a second try because I was attacking with the arrows around the arena. They homed in on the crystals but kept bouncing off the sides
@@JollySwaggmann You know I saw those magic fountains with the arrows in them but I didn't have a bow at the time so I just imbued my weapon with them cause I thought you needed that to destroy the blue crystals.
Turns out you don't need to, but you made me realize that they're probably there so it's not an impossible fight for bow players.
@@AverageJoe1999 i'm pretty sure it unlocks new attacks the more times you fight it so not entirely repetitive.

I ended up hopping up and down in my room looking like a doofus because I could only just not reach the last crystal on the golem with my spear held out as high as it could go. I died doing this and punched my fan. Will do again

You can also hold onto Hector's body like any other cliff face. You have a set amount of time before the rollercoaster ride begins.
If it any consolation, I knocked off my Index's facemask while flailing around trying to get out my weapon..
Fighting the golem myself with no spoilers was the single most intense VR experience I've ever had. Grappling with this giant creature while having no idea how I was meant to win, then eventually WINNING against a literal Goliath was an insane feeling.
I was playing with a friend and he was the one who faced him as we were switching off every death. It looks like such a cool fight and I can’t wait to battle one myself soon
same, i had no idea what i was in for but i connected the dots mid fight and that made me feel really clever
For some reason I have had a different NPC experience. A lot of the npcs I encounter are actually very difficult, to the point of disarming me all together. I had very little experience with the buggy mess, and they would actually chase me.
yeah i've got like 400 hours between pcvr and nomad and the npcs have never felt that stupid to me

Yeah what that skill does is let you catch enemy fireballs and throw them back with actual homing

4:10 Someone has made a mod (several actually) that increases the quality of Skyrim's chickens (Chicken Replacer and More Chicken Variants by Mihail). I would be shocked but this is Skyrim. And with VRIK HIGGS PLANCK they are fully pettable.
To any one playing this game there is an upgrade that turns the fire staff into a flame thrower which can propel you. I highly recommend getting it then getting two fire staffs and holding them upside down to jetpack across the map flying over enemies to set them ablaze, you can also jetpack into walls so the ends of the staffs slam into them and send homing fireballs down to your victims below. Such a funny and powerful strategy
The golem fight was legitimately the most fun I’ve had playing a game in a very long time. Each part of that fight was a surprise. From the golem awakening to realizing I could climb it as it tried to kill me.

this is my favorite game of all time, to finally have progression gives me a sense i cannot describe in words. Warp Frog definitely deserves props for building so much hype, and delivering on it. 10/10 game i love it. Sure the AI is stupid but I know it will either be fixed by Baron or someone will just mod them to be smarter, so its not that big of a deal.
I love that both of the spells Habie showed off were base abilities in the pre 1.0 update game
