- The Hector Golem boss fight is one of the best things about the Blade and Sorcery full release. A cinematic fight with no sorcery. Yeah maybe "MOST cinematic EVER" is a bit of a stretch, but such titles I must make for the ruthless algorithm... I tried my best though I hope it's pretty good none the less. Had some even more epic fights but I messed up in them towards the end. Hard to do the whole thing flawlessly! Though this one isn't flawless either ;)

the ending where he just throws down his weapon and falls to the ground, almost as if he were on an adrenaline rush that whole fight and finally succumbed to his wounds.
It’s VR so he could’ve been genuinely tired
I thought he was going to use his hammer to smash the cristal on the ground to make sure the golem is truly dead

Though I didn't use sorcery this fight, that was actually the golem using the gravity blast move! I saw it charging it up and it launched me as I was trying to jump off :D

Indeed that was sick as all hek :D and yeah shield ricochet is so fukin cool. It seems a bit buggy for me atm not locking on but it still bounces back :D

I love the physical acting you out in too. Like taking a knee, skirting around the edge to peek, or even just the occasional dramatic pauses. Felt like it was an actually cinematic, scripted cutscene! Great work!

Having done my first completion of Crystal Hunt, I can indeed say that Hector is a worthy boss fight. Makes you be aware of your environment, makes you need to think quick about how to get to those weakpoint-protecting glowstones, recognize what weapons would be suitable for dealing with his weakpoints, and of course the (personally disorienting and nausea-inducing) flailing about during the colossus climb in order to reach the upper points. And of course the experimentation, I wasn't even aware you could stun him with the shield throw and interrupt that charging beam.
So, we've seen a skilled warrior tackle a fully powered golem, but now I wonder how a full-mage would fare, or perhaps other thematic combatants when mods get updated. Jedi/Sith would be neat, as would a Mandelorean. A Hunter from Bloodborne would also be fun, or someone from Final Fantasy, or Assassin's Creed, hell we could see what a ninja from the Narutoverse could do. This update's pretty good in Vanilla, can only get even better when those mods get updated and online for more thematic dungeon runs~
Hell, I'm pretty sure they already have the dragonslayer sword back up and running, I'm sure seeing guts take a crack at it would be a fun sight.

yea hector is a blast to fight, tho I am at a point tho where I defeat him very quickly. I am on my way to obtaining every skill/ magic before I finish the game

it feels like the golem is a paid actor but also acting like how the devs codeed it too, like how sometimes it allows you to take rest and stuff but also attacks you. 2:37 this is my favorite part because it feels like the golem knows too do that but it's really just the code

Sped up slow motion with B&S is a match made in heaven. you could make any fight as cinematic as you want and it's a gift that keeps on giving.
I dunno why some people get funny about sped up footage tbh. It makes the video more entertaining.
