    It’s interesting how different these numbers are in each country and knowing the US and each state and specialty.
    You also have to pay back your loans right?
    We earn more as pathology residents in Switzerland but I think the difference for senior pathologists is smaller. The salary in the US seems to be less regulated though. And the risk to be sued seems to be somewhat higher and therefore you need special insurances I have read.

    Hello, I'm looking into Pathology and very interested in the field. I'm trying to find a shadowing opportunity in my area to get a more specific grasp of the field. Would you mind sharing your preferable ways to find shadowing?
    Also from my research, it seems like there are many specialize going into pathology, after Med school when you get into your residency, do you have to train as a generalist?
    Last question (I'm sorry it's been a long one), do you have to cut organs?
    Thank you!!

    • @Baking_MD
      @Baking_MD  Před 3 lety +1

      For shadowing, you should try to reach out to different programs to see if they will allow for an observer. Yes, there are many subspecialties in pathology that take place as fellowships after residency (see czcams.com/video/73mBg-mD-l8/video.html). And yes, we have to gross specimens, that is an default in pathology residency.
