Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

Not bad? This is a terrible 3 pack, Tom is just a reuse of another figure and Tobey is as ugly as sin. The only redeemable figure here is Andrew. That makes it 1 out of 3 figures being “worth it”

As far as these figures having the dumbell joint necks instead of the disc hinge necks, dumbells are usually better. The problem is that Hasbro is terrible at utilizing import level articulation. It's better for them to just stick with their outdated articulation
100%. At least these pieces can be modified a bit to further improve it but I cannot believe how they'll implement something like this that gives you more limited range than the old methods. Very frustrating. You shouldn't have to modify further.

@commandershepaaarrrdwrex2881 Yeah, Hasbro's drop-down hips are terrible, too. I have the SHF Sailor Moon figures with drop-down hips, and it actually improves the articulation by a lot. She can do the splits both out to the sides and forward and back. Much more range than any of Hasbro's figures, and that's with her skirt in the way even

My local Marvel Legends dealer advised me today that all 3 Spider-Men, Tobey, Andrew, and Tom, will be released this December as singles in a wave, along with a Charlie Cox Daredevil and BLADE. No word yet on the other 3 figures in that wave and no word on the build a figure either. Stay tuned.

12:55 I feel like they might have used the PS4 Insomniac video game as a reference. The Raimi suit is in the game, and the colors on the suit are brighter than they are in the movies. So I feel like they based the colors on that but obviously sculpt on the movie
I like the Andrew Garfield figure but the other two are really disappointing. I think if I’m gonna pay 100 just for that one may as well get the shf and enjoy the accessories and articulation. Shf Tobey is clearly superior than the one here. Good review!
You're not though just paying for one though, you're paying for three. You could sell the other two and get more than half your money back. If you don't like them it's fine, but saying one imported figure is better than three solid figures (one being better than some imports) feels hyperbolic, especially when SHF isn't nailing the accuracy either.
@@lex_rodriguez you’re still paying 100 for one fig may as well do it for one I know will have better articulation accesories and paint. Nobody wants that Tom holland figure. So just selling Tobey it is still too much money for one ml.

It's a shame that even in the promo pics there's misaligned paint on the heads.
I wouldn't mind having a Tobey and Andrew Spider-Man figure, but they're not so high on my list that I needed this set. Andrew looks great however Tobey would be the one I'd want the most, but more so one proportioned like his appearances in the Raimi trilogy, ever since those first CG renders the proportions looked off to me with that figure. In No Way Home most of the time it seemed like he was CG when he was wearing the mask and in action scenes so it's harder to tell how different his proportions were, we never really get a great shot of him just standing with the mask on.
Either him or his stunt actor had broader shoulders back in 2002-2007, and the head seemed narrower compared to this figure, the SHF version captures that. He just had more traditional heroic looking proportions and this new figure doesn't capture that to me, but I'll give the figure the benefit of the doubt that it's based on the newer movie rather than the older ones. I know they're going back to windowless packaging and I hope that supposed NWH wave is part of that, I think I'd need to see it in person to determine whether I'd get that figure.
I mean, Tobey is a middle aged man reprising a role from 21 years ago, that happens to involve wearing a skintight costume, and it shows... Sure, his digidouble looks very similar to how he looked like in his prime, but I'd say that was more of an oversight, and both figures (ML and SHF) look quite close to the way he does in all of the non-action scenes of him wearing the costume.
@@rickrollerdude Like I said I get that, I'd just prefer a figure based on his earlier appearances. Either way the proportions just look somewhat awkward to me, the SHF I think does a much better job executing a natural body shape, and even things like the masked head shape match up more with what I associate with Tobey than the ML figure.
I hate the fact that they charge $90 , but won’t give us a new body for Tom and no head sculpts for all three , with shitty web accessories…

Its so frustrating to me that two of these figures are new sculpts and instead of learning from their mistake with the dumbbell joint, they double down on them. I dont understand who looked at that neck articulation and said thats good enough for spider-man figures.
Peter 3 is the best figure out of this set. And I’m overall happy to have another Tobey (Peter 2) but I also got the SH figuarts and I like that one better.
I hate the reverse ab crunch so bad. That’s along with the fact Hasbro can’t do a double-ball peg is so frustrating to me. These figures so look great though, aside from being engineered like dookie.
Nice review, very well laid back! Peter 1 is a semi-fail! Peter 2 is an epic win but Peter 3 is a SUPER-WIN!!! I can’t wait for hasbro to give us a wave 2 of no way home figures with Peter 2 and 3 coming with unmasked head sculpts.
I honestly love this pack so much despite its many flaws like the no masked heads and the price but my biggest problem is if only hasbro wasn't so stupid and made it available to every retailer and not hasbro pulse exclusive. Cause I tried numerous times to purchase it but it kept rejecting my card, tried getting in touch with their customer service but they were almost no help with me.

I just have to say All three of these Spider-men figures all look movie accurate. They did a Great job with these figures. I really want to get them so bad. They look Spectacular. 🕷️🕷️🕷️
I dont see the point of drop down hips that don't afford any additional articulation. I feel the same about the reverse ab crunch/diaphragm too. It's a great idea, with poor execution. Especially considering that we have to sacrifice a waist twist. A good example, is the Carnage figure, from the venom wave. A simple ab crunch and it bends just as far and looks equally as good, if not better. I just say, stop adding articulation points and focus on maximizing the articulation that we've all more or less come to accept. There are SEVERAL examples of basic ML articulation being done well, without having to add articulation points that don't seem to serve much purpose. ...hell, even toybiz did it... IE. most toybiz Spider-man figures, could do a full splits. Just saying. Having said that, I really like the webbing color on that integrated suit and I'm really diggin the aesthetic of that ASM f8gure! Sik
I like these. I ended up un-cancelling and using Pay in 4 on this. I didn't get a Hasbro Tom fig since Infinity War and I actually really like how he looks. Andrew is great and Toby came out nice, minus the non gun metal.

My Andrew Garfield came with two left thwiping hands and no right one. I was kind of bummed out for that, but other than that, I'm completely happy with the way the figures turned out.
I think it would be perfect if it had the head sculpts, and if Tobey’s suit was a shade or two darker. That red does throw me off too. Maybe it won’t be too noticeable in my dimly lit room lol
I love the Tobey and Andrew figures, Tom I have no need for, but that price point and lack of accessories does put a damper on it. There is supposed to be a No Way Home way coming at the end of the year where all 3 Spider-Men have their unmasked heads, so there's that, but its still frustrating that this 3 pack did not come with something so essential.
Must get the Andrew one!

you definitely got lucky with your 3 pack. That shartimus luck came in clutch lmfaoo. the paint apps on mine and many others were either missing or completely missed the mark on certain parts. My tobey and andrew have white from the eyes bleeding into the mask and are misaligned and my andrew is missing paint on his arm. Wish Hasbro tried a bit harder with quality control on this pack

The old TASM2 figure looks more like a Spider-Man drawn by Humberto Ramos
Andrew's amazing Spiderman is the star from this set, even though the red is a bit too dark (and should be satin finished) and the blue should be less vibrant, and the webbing is gunmetal / dark steel colour, but alas custom wouldn't be a problem, but still...an amazing figure.
I wanted to put these in their iconic "Statue of Liberty poses" more than anything, but boy it was not easy because of the stupid dumbbell head joints. Why did they decide to go with those instead of the neck hinge?! I managed to do it but not as well I'd like for Tom and Tobey since they're looking more to the side than anything. Andrew was a piece of cake to pose because he's the only one not crouching. I still love this set and I'm happy to finally have it, but like Shartimus I have a few gripes and am a little disappointed about a few things. 😢

I was excited about this 3 pack. After waiting a year for it. I was highly disappointed when I went to pose the Marvel Legends Tobey McGuire Spider-Man and his arm broke right off. My gripes are mainly with his figure. Not because of the broken arm. First off they made Tobey appear to be fat. Fat head, sausage fingers, and lacking big time in posing. They did great on Andrew Garfield and Tom Hollands figures. Just did my favorite Spider-Man Tobey dirty. I also agree he is also a bit to bright. Paint rub on his webbing.
The sh and ml head are about the same size

I was massively disappointed with these. The hands on Tobey’s and Andrew’s figures seem WAY too small, and the boots don’t go high enough on the calves. It bugs the heck outta me
I remember collecting a crap load of Spider Man figures and almost eventually losing all of them from the movies either by losing them or them falling apart. So the fact of Hasbro re releasing them with different sculpts is exciting and they look better!
The Tobey Spidey should have the dark blue color on Andrew and Andrew should be brighter blue on Tobey. Damn Hasbro.

Hahahahaha I like the idea of the who is spiderman but the way you did it was better. With the durpy voice and the camera moving so fast and out of control. Minor gripe that Tobey’s web lines are silver. In reality they are supposed to be gun metal black like the SHFiguarts one and under different lighting conditions that’s when they appear silver. Painting it just silver makes it appear white under harsh lights. Anyways, I’m still happy to see that we have a new Tobey fig. I hope it’s not the last
What Iv noticed that nobody seems to point out is that they used better quality plastic because they feel solid when posing opposed to the gummy soft plastic we have been getting lately.

It sucks because I already have the integrated suit Spider-Man from no way home, and I actually painted the webbing and it looks exactly like this. So if I were to purchase this, it would be just for two figures. Granted I can sell it, but I prefer to keep my work rather than sell it for hasbro labor. 😂. I’m dying to find somebody who is selling Tobey Maguire. That’s all I’m looking for.

Let's face it Toby and Tom are a letdown, Andrew's is Really fuckin good. So yeah ya know, this was a must buy originally but I'm glad I skipped it, I mean I just don't have the funds for everything and seeing that 2 of the 3 figures are a miss, I will just wait for rereleases. Andrew is obviously the highlight of this three pack. They did my boy Tobey so dirty tbh. Tom is just a repaint but I already have the original, lol.
Am I the only person who thinks both this repainted version and the previous one of the Integrated Suit portray the suit color incorrectly? I've watched the movie many times now. It was the red and black upgraded suit with the gold trim from the iron suit added (integrated) onto it. At what point are the black sections suddenly any chase of blue or bluish gray?? Even during filming he just wore the red and black suit and they used CGI to change the look in post right? Both of these are color inaccurate to me.
Sorry just had to get that off my chest.
Otherwise, I agree. The Garfield Spidey is easily the standout of the 3, definitely the best movie Amazing Spidey figure, and possibly my new favorite ML Spidey in my collection!

Question, I noticed that in everyone's photos it looks like a normal chest piece but has anyone noticed that the shade of the chest piece on Amazing Spiderman is a different shade??? Mine came all sparkly and different color that the arms plus there were ugly marking all along the neck that aren't noticeable tell you're close up with figure. It's sad. Maybe it's just mine, I'm kinda ocd so when there's major paint differences I Hate it instantly.

Not only Tobey, but I’m pretty that Andrew doesn’t just have flat out black web line, he had gun metal weblines too on his suit, but it was just a bit darker than how Tobey’s were, he also had a gun metal spider symbol just like Tobey too, at least SHF made Tobey’s weblines and spider symbol the correct gun metal color as it should be, that colors overall were just great on the SHF version, and I’m also pretty sure that Andrew was a slightly brighter red and had pretty much the same suit colors as Tobey but his red was more metallic which Hasbro god right, but the red should’ve been a tad brighter and maybe the blue should’ve been more like a navy blue, or maybe it already is, Idk, but still tho, Andrew also has gun metal weblines and even his spider symbol too, oh and one more thing I want to point out is that Tobey’s lenses were all a gun medal color in the movies, not black or grey like the SHF and marvel legends figure had, the SHF and Marvel legends figures both should’ve had gun metal silver lenses, and they should really paint Andrew’s souls and give them the accurate soul details that they had in the movie, even for Tom

@@lex_rodriguez If you look at his suit in some of his movie renders or posters,for TASM2, it is a darker gun metal grey color for his web lines and spider symbol, I’m not joking, even in the movie itself, they were like that, maybe a certain angle of the lighting made seem like they were black but they’re really the same and Tobey’s weblines, just a tad darker
Okay to be fair, his first suit in TASM1, I could agree that his weblines were definitely black, but his second suit didn’t have black webbing
