- In this video, I finish the last project in a house furnishing project by painting the headboards for both the primary bedroom and guest bedroom. I painted them with my Wagner Flexio 4000 which, I found, made the project go a lot faster than last time I painted a sleigh bed! Be sure to get subscribed to our channel for the final house reveal in the next few weeks!

I have found a new love for spraying with the colder weather, but brushing is so enjoyable on a nice warm day.
I have never even tried to spray because painting with a brush is therapy for me. I enjoy it so much!
I like the convenience and speed of spraying, but find brushing more fun, and almost relaxing.
Spraying, I love the factory like finishes it gives and I don't ever have to worry about brush strokes
I love how you started in a small garage and look how you have expanded to a huge garage ❤️👏
Spraying is my favorite way to paint. Such a time saver! Can’t wait for warmer weather!
I'm 73 and live in an apartment. In order for me to spray I have to transport my items to my daughter's acreage so most of my painting is done by brush. I do enjoy spraying when I can. The headboards look awesome Lauren!
Brushing is therapeutic and spraying excites the perfectionist in me! Depends on the piece and I suppose the mood of the day as well 😊
Brush is therapeutic for me. I even love using detail brushes for the hard to reach areas.
I like both painting with a brush or a sprayer but there is something so satisfying about a brush.
I love a good paint brush. Thank you for the opportunity to try Dixie Belle colors and techniques . You are a great teacher.
I am about to paint a guest bedroom set I bought in 1975. I will be brush painting. Learn so much by watching your channel. Love the headboard makeover.
Spraying is so much faster and I find the finish much smoother so for those reasons, I like spraying over brushing.
I've only sprayed once so far. I liked how fast it was. I also like the satisfaction of painting with a brush.
I love brushing (and rolling). Brushing is so relaxing and takes me back to HS art classes where I fell in love with painting. Any piece with slats gets sprayed. 💖
HOLY COW.....DIXIE BELLE GIVE A WAY! WOW! I can't WAIT!
Spraying is so much faster, but brushing is more relaxing...I can't decide!?!?
Spray painting is definitely quicker for me, but I really enjoy painting by hand. I find it relaxing and satisfying. Especially when the project is done!
Thank you for all the tips and tricks. I appreciate your frankness and down to earth logic.
I definitely love spraying more. When the Wethersfield is great outside 👌🏼 perfect combo! Just leaves a more professional look!
Brush. It’s my therapy 😂 Painting furniture is very relaxing for me.
I love using the paint sprayer because it's an easier and more smooth process for me
I love spraying when weather permits. Right now I’m painting in my kitchen.
I love painting by hand because it’s so therapeutic but spraying is a bit more time effective. 🙂
I haven’t sprayed much, but I do love the soles and the finish. Brushing is like therapy, though. It’s like a reward for all of the prep work.
I like both brushing and spraying. It depends on the project and the weather 😊
I have been watching for quite a while now. You have come so far since you first started. I have learned so much from you. I don't have fancy equipment. I paint everything with a paintbrush. I started painting furniture and other accessories when my parents moved into an assisted living facility. I scoured thrift shops to find a table or desk that would accommodate Dad's wheelchair. That was also my first experience with Dixie Belle. I immediately fell in love with their products. When I was painting the spindles on Dad's table, I almost gave up, though. I had to work hard to get an even coat. Not because if the paint, but because I was using a brush. Since then, I have avoided spindles. It seems like it would have been much easier to spray them rather than brush them. You were very encouraging when I was struggling. The techniques that I learned has improved my skills. Keep on painting, Lauren. And Nieman, keep filming!!
I love the speed of spraying but brushing is therapeutic.
My preference is to spray, but I’m working in my small garage due ro cold weather. I’m a 78 y.o. One-time portrait artist whose failing sight has made my vision skewed. I happened on your you tube videos! All of a sudden I’ve a new lease on life. I’m on my third piece, but am having to do, undo, and do again. I figure it’s good practice. Thanks. You are a great teacher.
I like using a paintbrush UNLESS I am refinishing spindle backed chairs! I love doing both, too!
I think spraying would be fun for super large projects, like maybe walls or the exterior of a house. But I prefer painting with a brush - it is so relaxing!
I'm definitely a brush girl. I live in a small space and my crafting space is small .Brushes are definitely the right tool for me.
i like the relaxing strokes of using a paint brush.
I get so excited about trying more furniture updates and painting. I enjoy painting with brushes and rollers. The only paint sprayer I have was used to paint a house. So, I may have to get a smaller one to try on furniture. Thank you for your channel and the time you spend to teach others how to flip furniture and make a profit.
Using a brush is calming to me but having a sprayer is on my list for quicker flips!!
I have never tried spraying. As I paint more furniture and my experience (and confidence) grows, I can see myself trying my hand at spraying.
Thanks for your channel! I really enjoy watching!💕💕💕
I like brushing the paint on. It is very soothing.
As I'm a beginner and don't have a sprayer it's a brush for me. Spraying looks fun and fast but also a little intimidating. Maybe some day. Can't wait to see all the furniture in its new home. Great job! Love watching you.
I think spraying saves time and less mess! Spray is my favorite method💕
Spraying! I agree with several that brushing in "relaxing" & enjoyable at times.
Brush painting 🖌 It's so calming and therapeutic
I have only brush painted furniture but I like the looks of a sprayed finish better. Spraying looks so easy when you do it...I guess it is intimidating to me.
I love spraying vs brushing. Can't wait for warm weather so I can spray again. I'm weird and I actually like all the prep work and fixing up more than the painting part so I like spraying because it's quicker.
I agree both! If and when weather permits spraying is a much faster way to go AND it;s a smooth surface but brushing can also be VERY relaxing...
I like spraying. It's more even and looks better.
My next project is a headboard so your video was right on time. I find that spaying is less likely to leave brush marks but brushing allows me to enjoy the process more. Thanks for the video.
I don’t have a spray booth and worry about overspray so I prefer brushing. Can’t wait to see the finished makeover.
I like spraying because you cover more faster and has a smoother finish
Depends on what I’m painting but I do enjoy brush painting . There is just something so therapeutic about it!
Well I have to say brushed because I don't have a sprayer. Excited to see everything come together ❤
I have only sprayed out of a can and I prefer to brush. Its calming !! Those look great !! I love Dixie Belle paints
I love brushing, it’s relaxing to me. But if I had a sprayer I think I would love & use that even more! I would LOVE to be able to get some paint + supplies from Dixie bell 🤩
I really love to spray unless I am doing a blend. Dixie Belle is so easy to spray and blend!! My go to brand.
I would rather spray because it leaves a flawless finish. I have use Dixie Belle paint from the beginning and it is my favorite in the sprayer 🥰
I like the finish provided by spraying. And it's fun! 😀
the headboards turned out good. I think spraying is better because it just gives a better finish
I enjoy painting furniture and love using a brush.
Love to spray. The finish comes out so smooth and uniform.
I honestly prefer the brush over the sprayer mainly because I hate the prep work that comes with the sprayer lol. But when I have the time I like the smooth finish from the sprayer.
Love your videos Lauren!
Too new to spraying but once I get the hang of it I think that would be my favorite. But for now I love the meditation of hand painting. Very relaxing ♡
Brushing is my method of choice. Love the headboards!
I haven't tried spraying but I really like using a brush. It's relaxing to me.
I really enjoy the feeling of accomplishment that comes with brushing by hand. Its gives time to almost meditate, destress, and really take in the process of transformation. The outcome of taking time and having patience is so rewarding.
I am with you. I like spraying but the no Fumes in Dixie Bell makes it so easy and convenient to bush inside. Not to mention how easy it is to clean.
My comfort level is with the brush but I just got a new wagner flexio so I was really grateful to get your tips here today!
I love watching you flip furniture. I have learned so much from you. I do not have an indoor heated or vented area to sand or spray in and it is very cold here so I am going through furniture painting withdrawal. I like to spray for a faster flip but my sprayer stopped working in the middle of my last piece before having to put everything up for the winter. I also find hand painting relaxing.
I love to use the brush. I have a lot of time . I find it relaxing 😎
Using a brush is very relaxing.
Definately a brush, very relaxing, except I may want to try spraying on some dining chairs I have!
I love the convenience of spraying
I don’t have a sprayer yet, but plan to get one when the weather warms up! Brushing is simple and so relaxing!
I really like quickness of a sprayer but I've only used a sprayer on outdoor siding. So I have to go with brush painting. I always learn something I didn't know from watching your videos.
I am very new to this. Right now I am just brushing it on because I do not have a sprayer. I do enjoy painting. I look forward to making the comparison. It is definitely on my tool wish list.😄.
Started painting recently and enjoy using a brush for relaxation. Husband is getting excited to get a sprayer (tool man) to “help” with projects.
I've never sprayed, so brushing is my go to. I do very little furniture painting, just for myself.
I like to brush all my peace’s and I love using Dixie Bell Slick. I just open a both in a antique small to sell my creations. Keep up the good work and helpful tips.
There’s something therapeutic about brush painting. Although using a brush is my preferred method, I am open to trying spraying.
I love the finish of spraying and the speed for larger items. I enjoy brushing the smaller pieces.
Spraying is definitely our preference.
I’ve only been able to brush and roll but my daughter now has a sprayer so I’m looking forward to finishing a dresser.
Brushing has a calming element. But if I had a sprayer, I’d use it more than brushing! Thank you for your teaching sessions. Beautiful end results.
I enjoy your teaching style, you make it seem so easy.
Brushing is my way to paint I enjoy and its relaxing
If I had a sprayer I’d use that, but it is also nice to have the brush for the low mess and to be indoors!
I like to use a brush I can feel a connection with my ancestors working with my hands ✋️ more than power tools!!
I have only used a roller on the pieces I have worked on....but I received a paint sprayer for Christmas and am learning how to use it. Loved the video! Cannot wait to see the pieces staged in the room.
To be honest I have never done furniture flipping. I would like to paint my side tables and headboard. In order to do that I have watched many of your videos to learn how to do it. I have painted my walls with rollers and brushes which I enjoyed a lot. I am thinking to get the sprayer so I can paint my kitchen cabinets next. :) I have really learned a lot from you. Thank you!
I have a sprayer that I haven’t attempted to use yet. Alittle intimated using it. I find it very therapeutic painting especially with the Dixie Belle products. Such awesome paint. You did an amazing job! Love the white ❤️
I haven't tried spraying yet. I do enjoy painting with a brush and roller. Looking forward to seeing the "new house" furniture makeover!
I love painting by hand but love watching pros like you do the spraying.
I’m pretty new to painting furniture and I don’t have a sprayer. I love the feel of my brush in hand.
I like both for different reasons. Brushing is more deliberate and therapeutic. Spraying is my satisfaction quick fix. Seeing a piece transformed with paint either way is awesome!
I love painting with the brush ,but this spring I am going to try the sprayer as my garden fence needs doing x
I like how fast the spray painting goes on there. I also think it gives it a very even coat when I compare it to the times I use a brush. Love your videos!
I have never used a sprayer but I suspect I would prefer it over brushing because of the more smooth and even covering. Can’t wait to see the house makeover!
I like the control of using a brush
I don't have a sprayer, so I don't know which I prefer. Haha. One if my wish list items is a sprayer for when I do baskets, or wire things, but I do enjoy brushing on my paint on large pieces. It is very soothing to me.
I’ve only used bushing but the sprayer looks so convenient.
Brushing just feels more controlled and relaxing to me. Love these beds! Beautiful job 💖
Agree. Brushing is totally relaxing!
