I have one exactly like this in beautiful shape. It's not going to be "updated." I have many other pieces I have redone because they weren't in great condition. Sometimes, you have to appreciate whatever is already there. I do understand the need to make an income. I just can't imagine how to use the top with no shelves.

I would paint these gem tones in green and purple. Like emerald and amethyst or even Turquoise. You could do so many things with these pieces.

If you ever find another set similar to this, I would love to see the same neutral tone but with a dark blue in place of the grey. I think the gold hardware would really pop with that combo. These are stunning!!!!

My husband has been working in auto restoration for 20 years and he says Bondo is just a brand name, it’s body filler… just what he said lol

Not sure if you said and I missed it, but why do you use the bondo instead of wood filler to fill the holes?

Liked it when the wood was very light. Just a clear coat with black pulls would have been fine.

It looks great! I wonder, though, why you didn't modernize the feet. I've seen you cut off the scallopy parts on other pieces and make them more straight an boxy. Did the owner not want that?
