- By vehemently honouring Aussie culture, to the point of unearthing the 'Succulent Chinese Meal' guy for the sake of their latest music video, The Chats have become an unstoppable force.
But it wasn't an overnight success. Ahead of the release of their debut album, Blunt Magazine went record shopping with bassist Eamon and drummer Matt to learn about record from other artists that had an impact on theirs.
The end result was a journey through seminal punk releases, including Australia's own Cosmic Psychos and Tyrannamen, through to The Clash, Iggy Pop and (lots of) The Ramones, with a cheeky stop off at the Rod Stewart section. - Hudba
The Chats' *Get Fucked* is a ripper straight through. I had it on repeat for liek aweek.
Wish my local record shop was half as awesome as that one!

Great taste in music gents 👍 I met The Misfits back in 1999. No one standing in line to go into the venue realized the tour bus pull up. 4 guys in sweats and tuques got off the bus. Me and my mates turn around and we're whispering "Is that...?" Jerry Only asked if we wanted photos with them. Uhhhh yes please. Doyle dwarfed us all. And we all dwarfed Dr. Chud. LoL. Favorite memory hands-down.

You can’t see the names on the albums they’re holding and they don’t say the bands names so it’s generally just them talking about random shit
Other than the last one which they show very clearly all these ate albums by legendary known by everyone. Even I don't know the title but you can clearly see the first one is an iggy pop album, it's his whole ass face on the cover. Eamon even says so. The second is a misfits joint, followed by the clash. They know that everyone knows so they only showed the last ozzie band. But it's okay I'm guessing from your username you're some gen alpha chick so don't take this as an insult, just info you should know.
I also have static age and im 15 thats a sentence you wont here often a kid from now that loves punk rock most of the kids at my school listen to trash peep and lil shit (every rapper with the word lil in their damn name)

All of the Misfits albums are incredible up until Project 1950. When Jerry recruited Nosferatu as the lead vocals he was on meds or something. They had to autotune the living piss out of Nosferatu's audio tracks. He can't sing on key at all. And they had to use a lot of Reverb and other effects like flange to get him to have some type of vibrato in his voice cuz he's just a flatline singer.
But the box set is an incredible album series. Cuts From The Crypt, Famous Monsters American Psycho are all incredible. The Box set, Walk Among Us and Earth A.D. are very low quality recordings but the songs are phenomenal 👍
And in my opinion anyone who says that Danzig is the only real singer of The Misfits is not a true Misfits fan. Michael Graves has beautiful talent vocally. And he does a wonderful job of bringing out a doo-wop sound with rock/punk. Which is exactly what The Misfits are.
