@@kirkstateyou reminded me of when I first started dj’ing in 1999. 1 day after work, I took my brother and girlfriend out for lunch and after lunch, I just had to “QUICKLY” stop by local record store. Brother and girlfriend said they’d wait outside and I said I’ll only be about 10mins. I needed up staying for 55mins and I don’t even feel guilty. They both got free lunch , had air in their lungs and weather was bloody great 😃
There's some synchronicity here with Mac Davis because last night (420) , I watched an episode of Midnight Special with him hosting and thought wow he was a talented guy.
Love how they turning it into a diggers holiday lol. Hit a couple small shops out here in L.A. and they had djs, tattoos, food vendors, giveaways... it was a vibe 👍🏻

That sound effects record you past up is definitely fire homie. I have vol 1 and 2 of that same series. Lots of texture on those records to add to a beat.
I notice record stores are putting all the good stuff on Ebay, and then put all the junk on the floor, It wasn't like that in the late 90's early 2000's.
I have the Porgy and Bess record....interesting. But sampling film music can be tricky. Check out the story of the Sneaker Pimps vs. John Barry. And you say sound effects, and boom the sound of a telephone.

@@kirkstate Yea I kinda picked up on that when you were takin video. I get like that when I first get in a shop I haven't been in and the selection is off the wall like Michael Jackson. I usually just walk around and take it all in then start to dig.
That is my greatest sense of serenity is to spend hours at a vinyl spot. Flipping through many records
I was at a thrift shop with my friend one time and I could tell I was annoying them by spending so much time flipping thru vinyls
