@@basterdcrew Yeah, that’s rare to have a reverse button. I was watching a Pharoahe Monch documentary and Lee Stone showed the turntable (I think it’s that same Stanton) and said the trick is… the reverse button. He could preview sounds playing backwards without having to sample them into the Sp1200 he was using.
@@basterdcrew I'll bet you would love the MPC Live 2. Besides the much more instant MPC workflow, its mobility is actually inspiring and liberating, the pads are great, SSD expendable space is ace, the retro version looks hot, and you can directly hook it up to a turntable at your friend's or grandma's house which is a lot of fun. Also, you should have no problems getting that old boom-bap sound out of it. Not only because of its onboard MPC 60, MPC 3000, and EMU SP-1200 emulation but also because of the ridiculous amount of high-quality effects that have come out for it lately. So what you might lose out on that unique legacy feel is definitely more than compensated for by all the fun stuff you can do with it in a much quicker way IMO.
Damn yeah i didn't know it had those emulations thats sick, but yeah if I get one it'd def be a retro version, maybe the mpc one just for the smaller size@@Drrolfski
@@basterdcrew The MPC Live 2 offers the sweet spot IMO, its extra features are definitely worth the additional investment and its layout provides better screen angles. But if you're on a budget, the MPC One for sure is as good as it gets.
