That busy intersection is a HORRIBLE location for a daycare. Also important, the daycare operators aren’t providing top level child safety. They need a functioning locking gate, exterior and interior cameras and door alarms at the very least, along with staff trained to pay attention to toddlers.

My toddler escaped the house and went to the gas station across the street faster than i could shampoo my hair. Thank God i lived in a small town before cell phones because otherwise this incident could have been life changing in a bad way but instead its a memory that reminds me that them toddlers are quick, slippery, sneaky lil bugers. And its exhausting, no union 5 minute breaks to be had. So instead of punishing these workers maybe hire more good help. God bless ❤

This is my daughter who reported this. I raised her the best I could I always second guessed if I was doing a good job. I taught my kids manners, respect, morals, dignity and integrity. All my hard work really shows here. I'm so very proud of her. I'm so saddened by the the ignorant parents that did not take the time to teach their children to live by these standards, it's so sad that those children turned out to think it's ok or in their world "normal" to hate on a wonderful woman and mother herself for doing what's morally the right thing to do. THIS IS NUTS that it was approved to be at that intersection in the first place. I wouldn't take a pet to a pet day care in that location for fear the traffic could be an issue. Someone racing through a RED LIGHT can be shoved by a collision into the yard of that day care. That fencing is ornamental not FORT KNOX will not stop a 5K pound vehicle at 50MPH. HUGE negative marks on the zoning commission to allow that to exist there! GET INVOLVED community. Get them closed/moved to a safe location. PLUS: The gate clearance at the bottom provides enough space, that wee tots could roll under it.

Real life Rugrats😂. For real I’m glad they’re okay. This exact thing happened at the childcare center my mom worked at. Director was fired. Teacher had been telling her about one kid who constantly left the classroom and ran around the whole center. Daily. All the teachers complained daily. Director never did a thing. The kid, was hers. He was 5. And he ran around the entire center, corporate owned center at that, and no teacher could get him to stop and his mom, the director told them to leave him alone. He got out the center and crossed the busy road and ended up down the street and a man called the cops and they figured out where he came from. She was fired and had DSS on her for over a year.
While in the “Fallen Angels I Don’t Care Center” they were practicing a jail break after seeing the story about El Chapo, it’s a dry run exercise in anticipation for the latter day when they turn older and got caught doing something and put into jail. One were heard yelling “Catch me if you can!” While running across the street in a diaper. 😢

Whoa! Brookhurst and Orangewood! I grew up in that neighborhood and the bus stop for my high shcool was just south of that. When we moved there, there were orange groves on the east side of that intersection. I'll always remember how beautiful it smelled when the trees were in blossom. 😊 I miss those days.

A lady on m30's once left her 9 year old inside the van, lock the doors & closed them. She must've been in there for 20 minutes trying to get out, instead of getting up & checking up on her, she texted me, tried to pin everything on me. I then had to ask her 10 times for the van fog. The van was inside a SFR garage, Not in public view, the sun in December is still hot if the garage is directly getting sunlight & closed. No wonder she already got cps called on her 4 times in the pass 4 years.

Many workers will agree with me on this. When the state is not looking, the daycare owners add more kids to the day care worker's groups adding more responsibilities too. Most workers, keep in mind, are not certified to care for special needs kids. So you as a worker in these day cares don't have a choice but to accept the work load because you have bills to pay. This brings us to consequences such as this and other neglectful occurrences in your job duty. I feel respect for the hardworking workers who go thru this ordeals not for the daycare owners.
They didnt have prior complaints, citations, violations....they just made up for it. I worked at a daycare & noooo child is left unattended ever... unless you are negilgent ofcourse.
Oh my goodness. They can escape so fast. But all precautions need to be taken. It sounds like a good daycare and those are extremely hard to come by. I remember how hard it was to find good and affordable daycare for my kids. This one just needs to fix the gate.
Thankfully God’s guardian angels were keeping watch because Angels Day Care staff certainly weren’t! As a mother and grandmother I feel sick thinking of what could have happened. The license should be revoked and never reinstated for the owners, staff should be banned from working in any child related business ever!
