Such a beautifully curated living space! Plus he’s hilarious and charming.
Bourbon is also my drink of choice! I love the layout of the apartment. The kitchen is very small, but it seems to work well. I would love to have seen the bathroom.
How wonderful that most of his things are family heirlooms and gifts from friends. He displays everything with such appreciation. The dark masculine vibe is done perfectly. Another great video, as always!
What a charming gentleman. Love the color of his walls, the antiques he has collected and how he dresses.
Charming gentleman? “It’s in my hands so it’s mine” that’s not a gentlemen.
@@christineryan7955 It’s normal for ardent antique collectors to do that. You need to be one to understand it.
@@christineryan7955 I agree... he seems a little self obsessed and the "antiques" are not of high quality at any rate.
@@bostonviewer5430 big ego
@@alinagorelova1147 I tend to agree 🤩
Every once in a while Homeworth has a really wonderful home.
I still find checking other people's home out fun and kind of interesting.
This man is so delightful it’s contagious ❤️😃❤️
I'm envious of every person who gets to have this wonderful man in their life.
This "Dapper Dan" as he described himself is intelligent, confident & feisty, and I really like him. Things given or handed down hold meaning to him, as do they me. I love his paint colors, especially that bedroom blue. Thanks for introducing us to a unique & special human being.
Well said.
@@rmonson5002 Too bad he is afraid of cosmetic dentistry
@@sharon5115 Really? I don't think his teeth look bad. I think he looks great. I like him.
I instantly loved this man. He should start a school and teach his rules to live by: elegance and kindness, profoundness and just overall decency. This current culture needs it!!
This guy had CLASS!!! 🥂🍾
I love his upbeat personality. He honors his parents and grandparents by making good use of their precious items. He so lovely. Can I come over for a drink 🥃 .
He's very elegant, and so is his beautiful home!!
Someone snatch this man up and give him his own show! He's fabulous, funny, and full of positive energy. I was smiling the whole time!
I am so pleased to see you've kept your Family Bible. As I shop shops filled with dead people's stuff I see numerous family Bibles with family histories that have been shown out. Its sad. So thank you for keeping your family Bibles. 🧡
He’s a gentleman and I like his personality, a bit of fun for sure
What a lovely gentleman! He seems really from the 20s 😅 and he shows that even a little appartement if you give a style and treat it with love, it can be gorgeous. ❤️🙏🙂
Except that his apartment is not little 😂
Yes he does!. I love how easy he makes it look to decorate a house of any size. I'd love to do something nice but 3 young kids, my house would look like a tornado aftermath anyways. But most of all I find it real neat that alot of it has family memories.
this guy put me in a good mood such an amazing man with an amazing home
Warm and witty. Just like this wonderful gentleman. There aren’t many I’d immediately enjoy as a friend. He’s one. Exceptional. Thank you!
Dapper and debonair with a dash of humour and an affinity towards detail. The perfect combination for both the gentleman and his sanctuary in the city! Love.it.all!
What a delightful man, with impeccable taste.
❤ I love to see this type of masculine/gentlemens club aesthetic. So refreshing and beautifully curated…. MORE of these please 🙏🏼
I think he is gay
@@zeynepyurter9831 His sexuality has nothing to do with my comment. Btw, a gay man can still have a masculine space.
@@mrsverovalera If you say so ... I really dont have much idea about the masculinity and gays.
Home worthy is all about the unique people one meets. Wonderful gent!
Love Nathan and his charming space! So touching to see so many family heirlooms- clearly a well grounded gentleman 👍🏻
Hi 👋how are you doing?
I love a sunken living room , HOWEVER, I can’t tell you have many times I have seen unsuspecting people fall when they hit the step down..
So fun! Loved the dance!
I can see him being good friends with the gentleman who teaches voice lessons from his rent controlled, one-bedroom apartment and sings on Broadway. Loved the tour you did of him as well, have watched it several times. Phil something? Both have such fun, musical energy!
Such a pleasure to see this gentleman. I think he's wonderful and a natural host. I especially love his apartment! I would love to be an invited guest! I would bring a bottle of wine and dessert.
I totally enjoy his zest for living!🍷
Very charming. I was surprised when he said it was a rental!
Gosh! What a great apartment! So we’ll decorated. And what a great gentleman. Love his personality. I want an invite to his dinner parties. I’m just around the corner….in Canada 🇨🇦!!
What a nice gentleman and host. The apartment looks beautiful and feels cozy.
Nathan is delightful. I love his home and all the favorite heirloom s from family and gifts from friends.
Beautifully decorated and cozy. Perfect home .
I love his personality and the vibrancy he has given to his space:)
What an awesome home tour! He was awesome! I loved when he told the story of how he acquired his Chinese plates. Good for him. I loved his antique radios. I have a 100-year-old radio, but it doesn’t work. I keep it as decoration. Thank you for sharing. This was such a treat!
Whats not to LOVE about this apartment. Love the rich blue/gray wall color which makes this apartment feel so cozy, dark and welcome. Love the eclectic decor. Im in Love with the ceramic chinese boxes. Genius idea!
Nathan’s dining glassware looks like an etched Tiffin pattern similar to MY grandmother’s. I inherited some of hers and want add to it. Like me, he has a sentimental attachment to family’s pieces. He is a gentleman for sure, and very charming.
GIRLLLL! YOU ALWAYS knock these Home tours OUT of the ballpark!!! I always just click, I don't even have to see a name, lol! This one was exceptional! His sense of style and humor!!! His home definitely tells his story ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Thank you so much!!
I lived in Manhattan for over 20 years as well (recently moved to the Midwest...still miss the city), but this is the exact type of apartment I always wanted to live in, with the beautiful floors, sunken living room, ceiling beams. Never managed to find one, but it was always my idea of a perfect Manhattan apartment.
What an incredible place and what an incredible person.
Absolutely fabulous!!! Such class displayed in person and throughout the home. Recalls a bygone era when people took pride in their environment and self. May you enjoy many healthy, happy years in your home.
He is charming and his home is comfortable and stylish! Homeworthy is so much fun! Thank you!
Hi 👋how are you doing?
Love your clothes- so dapper, so sophisticated and casual at the same time. Love 💕 your decor.
I like him alot! And I love what he's done with his small space. It's very impressive and inspiring!
Classic Elegance! Love all his decor! Such a fine dapper of a gent, too! I’d love to be his neighbor invited to (many of?!?) his cocktail parties! 👍🥰
A lovely, interesting apartment and a fine gentleman, too! There's a definite piano jazz feel to this delightful space and it absolutely says New York.
He is a Wonderful Host. I love his collections - especially the family items with memories. I have the very same silver that was my Mothers - Prelude by International Sterling. A very old silver but still sold today!
It was so soothing listening to Nathan with my morning tea and I enjoyed all of his emotionally curated family and friends gifts and unique pieces to decorate his loving sanctuary
Beautiful, stylish home and a gracious gentleman. A pleasure to watch.
Absolutely stunning and obviously very well done. What a great guy...luv his energy. Ty!
He has a beautiful apartment that is decorated to reflect his personal style. I love the treasures from his family and the clock that stopped working on his grandfather's death is a very special story. Nathan is sweet, funny and I really enjoyed his fun company. Every Saturday I look forward to meeting someone new and they are always special, unique, and never disappoint. Thank you, Nathan for sharing your home with us.
Love it. Great collection of antiques. Superb apartment. He’s right when you have beautiful things they are absolutely meant to be used.
What a beautiful gentleman and a gorgeous home. He is absolutely right about NYC and the subway and always having somewhere to go , NO time to be bore in NYC. Nathan, Enjoy your home in good health and joy. Absolutely charming and a gentleman indeed. Love it. Hugs from Riverdale
I'm not sure what I enjoy more....him or his apartment!
I was thinking the same thing!!!😍😍
@@AC-AC-AC Same.
Bingo.
Mr. Urbach's natural warmth, charming wit and worldly sophistication is reflected in every room of this apartment. Love the seamless integration of personal family heirlooms with his urbane gentlemanly style. This tour is a real treat on every level.
Love this home and this gentleman. Hysterical none of his clocks work.
I love this apt. Very well decorated. I just started buying items from auctions. Really makes my home feel more cozy and special.
Our host is aesthetically alive. Thought right away of the PBS series, "Jeeves and Wooster." Great objects, clever flow and placement, dash theatrical , warm and vital interior. Striking, tony choice of wall color in main living area. Lovely place.
I’m obsessed with Homeworthy ❤
Me too, lol
Yes, but I've run out of new episodes to watch. So I'm watching them a third time. 😊😊😊
@@mizzmolly7649 Me too!
@@mizzmolly7649 right !!! I get all excited when I see a new one posted ..such amazing homes with lots of inspiration..I have a huge passion for interior design (I think we all do if we’re all watching it constantly lol )
I love Homeworthy. If you like it, you should also check out Quintessence. I can't get enough of beautiful homes no matter how big or how small!
I adore Nathan Urbach’s place, and the pieces that he skillfully acquired throughout the times. He’s a compleat modern day gentleman indeed. Thanks for this feature.
This is real home and this man is living a real life in it! Lovely decor. And I wish I was a guest at one of his dinners. Good people exchanging ideas over food and drink. What can be better than this. Congrats.
He’s just full of charm and style, such a cool gentleman! Love his apartment and dance moves👏🏻😍
One of my favorite videos yet! I love how Nathan took us through all of the vintage and inherited objects in his home and showed how anything can be made to look fabulous, stylish, and cohesive together if it all has meaning to the homeowner. I love that so many items were vintage and/or had history from his family and travels. And what a charming gentleman! This channel has become my favorite interior design channel - it's not about where to purchase high end pieces, but rather about how we can all make our own personal, meaningful items work together. And I love getting to know the personalities behind the decor.
Love that gallery wall and how everything has a story. His parties would be incredibly fun, especially with music coming from that glorious gramophone !
The wall color in his bedroom is scrumptious!
Oh this was just wonderful. Nathan you are indeed a gentleman. Loved all the heirlooms from your great grandparents and grandparents - the clock that stopped when your grandfather passed away, the Edison gramophone with the beautiful music, the Hitchcock chair and the drop leaf table. Those Amazon tables definitely look vintage - a great low end find. Would have loved to see the walk in wardrobes. I enjoyed your articulation and explanation of all your pieces. Thank you for inviting us into your home. Love from sunny Sydney, Australia.
OK...to be clear it's an Edison phonograph, not a Victrola or gramophone. Edison originally trademarked the term phonograph, which made competitors come up with their own names for their talking machines. Columbia made Graphophones and Victor made Gramophones. Victor set a new standard of luxury in 1906, when they introduced their Victrola- with an internal horn and turntable concealed under a hinged lid. The -ola suffix connotated luxury and improvement, thusly Edison came out with his enclosed-horn machines, Amberolas, and Columbia with their Graphonolas.
I realize some people call any phonograph with a crank a Victrola, but these were trademarked brands and enjoyed separate developments and histories. By the way...the grille in Nathan's Edison Chippendale phonograph is upside down.😊
Nathan is lovely and has a beautiful home!! This is truly one of my favorite Homeworthy episodes.
Love the places Homeworthy finds. They are spectacular engaging unique one of a kind personal spaces just like there owners who craft them. Keep em coming homeworthy. You truly have a one of a kind ✨️ A+ content! Love it ❤️
Agreed.
Spectacular? Compared to what?
@@bostonviewer5430 You sound very bitter. Why do you waste your time on this channel if it is so beneath you?
@@cathybutcher4826 If everything was awesome and spectacular then nothing would be.
Use your eyes and maybe you'll see what I mean and not agreeing doesn't mean I think you're bitter!
@@bostonviewer5430 You can disagree without tearing someone to shreds.
Nathan's home is an intensely personal place, which proves that when you have a vast array of things from different people and situations in your life, you simply slam it all together and make it work, which he has done beautifully. And then you keep it all lubricated with bourbon and martinis!
The word “class” springs to mind as I watch this video of this charming man’s apartment .
I enjoyed looking at this gentleman’s home and how artistically he described everything. I loved when he was asked what he liked about NYC, he replied: the subway, you can go in and it takes you somewhere!” Besides that the gentleman has good tastes in decoration. Blessings to him for giving us a glimpse of his home.
Wow ! Now this is a home that gives you a warm HUG every time you open the door!! Beautiful!! Nathan did an awesome job decorating! :)
This gentleman and his home are delightful
Thank you for opening up your home to all of us folks you don’t know…both you and your home are very nicely dressed!😉
Love the blend of old and new found and inherited in your home. You understand how to make a space feel inviting….. the postscript to these observations is that your bedside reading material is adventurous. Bibles are uncharted territory for many readers. Bravo on your adventurous style and reading habits 🌿
I love this. Such a great job on incorporating his family items into his home plus his finds. This is what makes a curated home. You can tell he is a great host also.
Thanks for the tour. Took a shot every time you said “bourbon” 😁
What a Gentleman.
He's done a great job decorating his apartment, and to make such a small space look so upscale is a real talent. I live in a 2800 sq ft Victorian house, and it's full of family antiques and artwork. It keeps them close to me.
I’m in love❤ with both this dapper Dan who was clearly meant to be born in the 20’s and his beautiful living space! He has so many lovely sentimental items put together in a charming way. Thank you for bringing this unique individual sharing his interesting stories with us- so refreshing from the boring IKEA gray minimalists.
What a fabulous apartment. This has to be one of the best tours I’ve seen.
A Dapper Dan who dances the Charleston and does needlepoint! I love the big red lacquered Chinese armoire best of all.
NATHAN! You did a wonderful job. I ADORE your space. I love all the items from your grandparents and family. I could watch this a million times and still feel like I missed something or that I just want to sit down and read a book or grab a drink somewhere in there.
This prewar apt is beautiful, the wood floors, sunken in living room and the wrought iron railings and you are lucky to have had relatives with very great taste and of course you added to it. The only negative is a small galley kitchen but it is well done. Sounds like great closets which you did bot show!. Looks like an apt Ralph Lauren would design. Thanks for eharing
If only we had more amazing residential buildings like this in Brisbane, Australia.
Just adore how he says his home is a place where he feels safe and he can truly relax, as our homes should be our sanctuary!
Delightful. I’ll bet Nathan is the life of any party.
He’s a character !! 💕
What a nice guy, a gentleman and a dapper dan! Like the apt.! Not crazy, not wild. X-nay on the taxidermy. The black/navy walls warm the room and reflect the lights beautifully. Every picture wonderfully hung and perfectly straight! Dude -- four closets!! A man that loves the arts, I could talk to him all night long!! Thanks for having us over! 😅😅 Charleston!! You are a time traveler!!
Lovely British Gentleman's apartment
Another great tour, with yet another person I would love to live next to! The dark walls are perfect for his style and give his place a real New York feel, along with the step-down living room. My favorite piece was the Victrola. I had friends who owned an island in Maine without any electricity, and they had one too in their summer place. There's nothing like listening to old Enrico Caruso recordings and the Charleston the way people did when the Victrola was the latest thing! This is exactly the kind of home tour I love because it's not so grand that I can't take ideas from it for my own home.
This guy!! I want to be his friend!!! His apartment is wonderful!!! More of this please!!
He’s so cute! Kind a fell in love. Oh, the sunken Mary-Tyler-Moore apartment rocks.
This is a sophisticated, comfortable, charming home. Kudos for decorating with heirlooms. Most things have a history which gives the home character. Dan is truly Dapper!
I love it. The step down is perfect. The floors are also beautiful.
Dancing to the old record ❤!!
Lovely spending time with a charming gent!
What a wonderful place, and a great host, a truly elegant and warming residence that brings back the civility of our culture. Congrats!
Lovely owner and space. Love the fact that each piece has a story.
Loved this tour, I could have listened to Nathan for hours, his home is fabulous! You can see he loves his home, so special and unique and he is a perfect host! Definitely one of my favourite tours!
Love him, love him, love him. Definitely a gentleman. ❤
Love his POV . His home is really a home that you could kick your shoes off and have
a good visit( drink) !
What a beautiful home! The things I have inherited from family are among my favourites. We also have the same good silver! Mine is from my Nana. The pattern is called “Prelude” by International Silver.
They’re in my hands, so they’re mine. 😅😂 beautiful decor.
He’s right… never recognized a sunken living room, but it’s what makes the cozy places the best.
Such a charming gentleman with a beautiful apartment! I love the wall color and the lighting!
