Awesome message. May the Creator bless each and everyone of you and keep you and your families. May your people be blessed with many blessings from Him. And may the buffalo always be plenty for you. Amen
Forgot to add that it said they were apart of the Grosventre, Assiniboin tribe. Growing up I often wondered why I felt so drawn by the Native American history and now I know why. 😊 I would like to learn more so that I can pass this down to my children. Thanks for the help.
My Grandpa is a registered official member of the Tribe. I wanted to become a tribal member but I am only like 1/16th or something, so my grandpa Bill is the last one who can be a member according to the blood/DNA rule, but that's okay because I have learned a lot about the traditional ways and I hold those indigenous ways my heart and believe that having an intimate connection with the Creation and the Creator + love is the most important thing.
I recently found out that I’m 30 % Native American and did some research and found a family member in my tree that was registered in the Dawes roll which I’ve learned that they were registered at the Fort Belknap. I’m curious does that mean I would be able to register for the Dawes roll too? Not sure how that works. I’m interested in learning more about this part of my heritage.

I have a "blood quantum" from this tribe. I hope to visit someday.
My great grandma was full blooded Cree. Was a midwife.
Thanks I'd like to come up sometime.
I so wish the editor of this piece either left the music out or turned the volume down so I could hear the man speak more clearly
