  • “I will either come back after raising the Indian flag in victory or return wrapped in it, but I will come for
sure”- these are the words of the ‘Sher Shah’ of Kargil War Late Captain Vikram Batra. He single-handedly went forward to attack the enemy very well knowing that he wouldn’t make it out
alive.Remembering him, Mr.Vishal Batra, his twin brother tells a story of courage, a story of love and a
story of a true patriot and his family...
Mr.Vishal Batra is a Retail Banking and Financial Services professional having an overall experience of
17 years. As a zonal head of ICICI Bank he leads a team size of close to 1300 people across various
Business functions. Vishal Batra is the twin brother of Captain Vikram Batra who was an officer of the Indian Army, posthumously awarded with the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest and most prestigious award for valour, for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War.
Vishal Batra who is a Banker by profession has spoken on several occasions about his brother who became the face of the young Indian soldier who fought ferociously and died fearlessly. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Sir with all due respect nobody in Merchant Navy gets 1 lac straightaway. You serve as deck cadet and earn 25-30K a month at most. After 1 year if u are lucky enough you may get absorbed by a foreign company and will get paid 1 lac that 2 for a max 6-8 month contract. Armed forces that time in 99 had low pay scale but still offered great perks like free accommodation, schooling, Penison, what not. Army is a way of life ! You can’t compare it with any other job. Its true for all the countries. A Colonel now gets 2 lac+ and commands 1000 Men under him , that is something that not many can offer.

Sad to see his biopic being made after 21 years, whereas bollywood keeps making biopics of underworld dons. This change has come after this Govt came into existence else we would not have seen this story on big screen. At least this Govt is making sure we never forget our real heroes.

      Army general V P Malik....
      Great .
Ask him where was he when the war broke out.
He did not report to Kargil.
He was in Pune getting medical surgery of his wife.
Another general was in Poland for a whole month.
He reported well after Kargil was over .
Kargil itself was a result of lazy army response from 1996-98 to military intelligence that Pakistan army is getting control of peaks on Indian border.
