Been awhile since I asked lol. Do you think you could do Connor McLeod's katana from the original Highlander movie. And you video is awesome, and I want that slice lol / And a Bayonet from the revolutionary war would be cool
@@Get_Bent_79 That katana was Ramirez' (Sean Connery) sword. The real, screen used sword was sold in 2016 for US$10,880.00. Russell Mulcahy (movie director) has The Kurgan's modular Zweihander. He is not selling. Both are hand forged custom pieces, that katana is a 200 fold with a gorgeous hamon.
Me, I vote for the Prince of Persia Sands Of Time dagger (2010). A lesser film but a more suitable platform for that spectacular pattern and that amount of steel. PS: I would wear that slice on a string on my wrist and drive my best friend, who has just finished his smithing course, absolutely insane.
Where is Ilya ?,don't see him nowadays.great work.nice pattern
I mean, having this video be 7 months old, the slice has probably already been given away, but I absolutely love the work that you and Ilya do! Keep it up! ❤
"I want that slice"
Love your teams work, also love how you support other smith's and show them off on your channel.
I want that slice.
I think this mosaic billet would look lovely as a modern tactical tomahawk. Nice rigid lines, simple geometry. That pattern plus some heat bluing would be gorgeous.
Man, the art of steel you peform on daily basis is way too beautiful, thank you for sharing your skills with us
I appreciate that! Very much!
@ThatWorks where is illya
@@brandonmagner9832 he is moving
@@ThatWorks will he be back
I think that pattern would be cool on some sort of pretty wide blade or an axe head or something where you can see a good chunk of the pattern in the end.
Man that pattern is absolutely gorgeous, it turned out fantastic. I know I want that slice!
I want that slice!
New damascus patterns are always incredible and what you've come up with looks really cool!
I want that slice ~
that you for sharing your knowledge for years :)
It's a beautiful pattern on that slice, congrats to whoever wins it.
You are too kind
I want that slice.
I'd suggest a Seax for the design. It's a long blade that will show off the super cool pattern.
I want that slice
It looks so cool. I love watching people make stuff. And it was you who started that back when you were on MaA.
Always a pleasure to see what you and Ilya are cooking up in the shop. Can't wait to see what's in store for this block. And of course, I want that slice!
I want that slice! Beautiful work sir!
I want that slice! The pattern is amazing, I need to go back and find part 1 so I can see how you made it. Awesome work!
That is a awesome pattern and thank you the chance to own a slice. :3
I want that slice
Hey man love your work here in New Zealand." I want that slice." Please.Keep the videos coming please.
That's such a cool pattern. "I want that slice". That'd make a really cool keychain.
It's cool that you can make and repair your own tools with yet more tools
Man that pattern looks amazing! I'm excited to see what you'll be doing with. Whatever it is I know it'll be epic and beautiful.
I want that slice!
Fingers crossed!
I want that slice! That pattern would like sooooo good in a fantasy production
I want that slice! Epic pattern!
A bowie or a recurved fighter would be sweet keep up the good work
Very cool seeing how the resquaring and restoration of the tool is done buddy
I want that slice! Can’t wait to see what it looks like all together!
"I WANT THAT SLICE"
Looks as good if not better than when made those years ago.
I want that slice! :D
So cool to see the continuation of a video from pre-plague
Ha. Truth! Yea I've wanted to return to this for ahwile but I didn't get much hammer time in the passed few years.
That's a beautiful piece of steel. I want that slice
I want that slice! That is an awesome pattern!
That pattern is awesome. I want that slice. 😊
I really want that slice. The star burst is an awesome damascus.
That came out so good looking.
I want that slice.
I want that slice. Very interesting pattern!
I want that slice! It's such a cool and unique pattern.
Good luck! Thank you!
I want that slice! been loving your work since back to the man at arms days, great to see how you've grown as a smith.
Much appreciated! I try to keep pushing my limits
Love the pattern! I want a slice of that! :)
To be completely different, I'd love to see a Damascus burger flipping spatula. It would make any back-yard griller the envy of the neighborhood!
absolutely gorgeous work with that pattern! I want that slice!
I want that slice!!! It looks amazing!
As always, your work is incredible and obviously,
I want that slice!
I want that slice!!! Beautiful pattern
I want that slice.
That is a nice pattern, I think it would look great as the blade of a balisongs. For handles, crystallized steel pattern meteorite would look great.
Ohhhh you are right. It would make a good little flipper.
I want that slice!
Always enjoy your work! Never fails to inspire
Man I was thinking about this just like a week or so ago, thinking maybe I missed what happened to this thing. I thought that the original billet looked so FREAKIN' gorgeous, I'm so glad to see you revisit it.
I think like a small finger two finger knife would be awesome but I wouldn't blame you for making something much larger to really show off that pattern.
Oh and my obligatory "I Want That Slice"!
Like honestly? You remembered this pattern ?
@@ThatWorks yeah! It was probably the first video on this channel I ended up watching when I finally discovered you guys moved over here after the Man at Arms situation. Damascus is always fun and all but it can get a bit repetitive, I didn't even know the Mosaic stuff was even a THING and was just awestruck by that star. It was like straight out of space!
@@IMGrasstopher Yea mosaic can seem like true magic!
I'd love to see that billet turn into something bigger like a sword meant to be used with both hands but since I doubt that it's big enough for that, any sword of any length would be awesome to see (generic I know but that gives a better chance for the metal to be seen since a sword is mostly a metal edge with a bit of guard and pommel and handle to balance it out).
I want that slice! It looks amazing at least before resquaring cant wait to see what you make out of it
I want that slice. Been watching you and Ilya since the last channel you were on. Love your videos.
Still working on the handles and scabbards of years-long projects. 🤣😂🤣
Good news is, they're almost done. Two blades need etching, one needs more shaping, one blade is done, but needs the scabbard finished. One needs a handle and sheath, and all need to have a finish polish. (The most tedious of all processes.)
Like a turtle, slow and steady.
And if you send me that slice, I'll find a way to incorporate it into one of my several semi-finished projects. 🤣
I like the pattern and think it would look amazing as machined fittings.
I want that slice!!! Gorgeous pattern 🤤🤤🤤
I want that slice! Creating the pattern alone is such an impressive show of smithing skill, looking forward to seeing the final project!
I want that slice!
While I think that you make marvelous blades, I think it's been a while since we saw something more tool like, albeit something with quite the surface area to show off the pattern. So I think something like a drawknife, hatchett, tomahawk perhaps? Alternatively some kitchen utensil like a ladle or spatula? A ladle especially would show how much the pattern can blow up and how the detail can vary along certain curves...
I want that slice! This piece looks rad already, and I can't wait to see the final product!
Should be a real stunner! ...I hope
wow, such a beautiful pattern!
I want that slice!
Thanks for the video 👍🏻
I want that slice!
The star pattern came out really nicely, I also love the concept of finishing up old projects, could really do with some of that myself xD
As always, it's a lot of fun to see you work! Oh and also, I WANT THAT SLICE!
I never cease to be fascinated by watching damascus being made!
Oh definetly I want that slide, great work dude
Beautiful pattern. I do want that slice. Thank you.
I want that slice!
Very cool, nice job.
I want that slice!! The jewelry potential is huge!
Ooo I like that answer
That is amazing and beautiful. My youngest is doing culinary arts at Their high school. So a chef knife or cleaver would be awesome for the wide blade. But a thin boning knife would look nice with a line of stars going down the blade.
Absolutely beautiful work. 👏👏
Thank you MASI
I want that slice!
Great video as always
Excellent video, as usual. I want that slice!
I want that slice! Phenomenal work as usual! Can’t wait to see what it becomes.
You and me both!
That pattern is gorgeous. I want that slice. I'd also love to see that starburst pattern as a knife, something thick you could take hunting.
That is prob the direction I am going with this first piece. I have plenty more of the billet.
I want that slice!
Nice work! Looks beautiful. What's Ilya up to these days? Haven't seen him in a yt video in a bit.
I want that slice! Amazing work! It's just lovely to watch you work.
Thank you very much!
The joy of owning that price of perfection. I want that slice please. :)
I want that slice!!!
Awesome work dude. I have some projects that I've left for years too. Need to get back to them!
Videos like this are great motivation tbf
i want that slice, i can't wait to see the final product
I want that slice of that beautiful pattern!
I want that slice! Your work is awesome!!!!
I want that slice.
Nice work on that one, good sir.
Love to see such a beautiful pattern in a Bowie knife:)
I want that slice! Keep up the awesome work!
That pattern is badass! My I please have that slice.
awesome
I want that slice! that pattern looks so nice man
This pattern is going to look amazing no matter what it gets turned into but i think I'd definitely most like to see those stars running down a sword blade where they can really shine. Not sure exactly what kind of sword but maybe since its such a unique piece of steel maybe something that we haven't really seen you make before.
Also I WANT THAT SLICE
I want that slice !
is so amazing !
I want that slice, looks fantastic.
This is a smashing episode! And I Want That Slice
Thank you! Good luck!
I want that slice! Great work as allways 😁
I WANT THAT SLICE!!! I think that pattern would look amazing if you used it on a renaissance era dagger.
I wish to obtain that slice.
The mosaic looks so good.
I want that slice. Good luck all!
Amazing looking piece.
I want that slice
I want that slice! Love ya work!
Nice pattern
I want that slice! Amazing work as always.
Thank you
I want a slice!! lol I know I can't get one, but good luck to everyone else. I LOVE this pattern it looks like the Nova Corps formation from GOTG!
Not sure what you should do with the billet, but I know it's going to be awesome! I want that slice.
I WANT THAT SLICE, PAPA STAGMER
looks about the right size, not sure if you watched it but the "his dark materials" show recently finished, and one of the key items is " the subtle knife" a knife so sharp it can cut through reality itself. it would look so cool with this pattern. also bro, for real. I want that slice lol
I will take a look. Thanks for the suggestion
I want that slice!
To go with the star theme, some sort of crescent blade like a sickle could be cool
Honestly a karambit would have been fun. Nice shooting star theme
cool pattern. I want that slice. Thanks
I Want That Slice, please! Such an awesome pattern, truly a lot of hard work and great technique. Thank you for this channel, I love to see your work
It would be fitting to turn at least a part of this billet into a shooting star, right? Or something star related such as a Sextant... @ThatWorks what do you think?
I love your videos!
