- Barry Morphew is charged with first-degree murder and other charges in connection with the disappearance and presumed death of his wife Suzanne Morphew. She was last seen on May 10, 2020. Despite an exhaustive search, her body has not been found.
These videos were played in court during preliminary hearings for Barry Morphew and have been released to public for the first time.
One body cam video shows the moment Barry Morphew arrived back home after Suzanne Morphew was reported missing. When deputies go inside the Morphew home for first time, they search for clothing that would have Suzanne's scent on it.

Why would investigators not use gloves when finding and moving the bike? Preserving evidence 101 for God's sake. This drives me crazy!
I was literally screaming at my screen “DONT TOUCH IT” what does he do? Raw dogs that mf.
Investigators prints can be eliminated from the scene easily enough. My alarm bells go off back at the house when the boyfriend quickly adds. "..they have cameras , but they have been out of commission for a while". 1, how did you know this? 2, Is the word 'commission' a word you would use? I would say a male of his age would most likely say ' cameras have been out for a while. Did someone plant that message (to deliver) into his head in prep for this inevitable confrontation with police and others?
And they don't even have brought their own evidence bags to the scene when they go there to collect her clothes!?!?
@@catlady7464 I’m just watching that but now! Wow!!!! This is 101 for cops and and insane. Is this corruption??
@@pottytime1 You have to wonder how much evidence collected gets contaminated and not viable. Or even planted. I don't always know if all cops can be trusted. Looking at just those 2 clips I seriously don't trust those ones.
I can't believed that the police aren't wearing GLOVES or take a picture of the bike before removing it. What a joke
Don't matter, the police still found the killers prints on the bike, from when he threw it down the cliff.
Yeah, at least wear gloves just in case
I was thinking the same thing.
Did you hear how he said he was. Your on camera lying as a cop. Unreal.
Totally agree! Absolute amateurs! And Barry Morphew is a jealous, big headed bully and is as guilty as HELL,
Walks up to crime scene, disassembles crime scene. These are the people we are supposed to trust our lives with. God help us all
Yeah, I for one was shocked to see it. No pause at all, just went for it.....at least glove up before you completely destroy a potential crime scene?
No one would assume a bike over the hill was part of a crime scene. Only the killer would know this. Js
Should of took a picture and the serial number with gloves but Sherlock Holmes acted like number 1 son and destroyed the evidence.

It don’t matter. Police still found killer’s prints in the bike.
This is so painful to watch them recklessly destroying evidence
It hurts to see that. Was he so dumb, where did he put his gray matter?
You can even hear the cop beside him 'not to touch it too much' and he keeps wheeling it with both hands on the handle bar 🙄🙄
What really happened with Delphi crime? The same type of stuff, no wonder 5 years no arrest!
I guess it wasn’t too reckless since the killer’s prints were still found on the bike. Remember they didn’t know it was a crime scene. They didn’t even know if it was her bike. They didn’t know if someone fell off their bike or what. We are not investigators so it’s not like tv like they can’t still get prints.
@@SolutionsWithin True. I did keep that in mind while watching but it was still a missing person. It’s easy to look back and judge I know, still made me cringe to watch that.

As a former felony prosecutor, I can’t believe that these patrol officers didn’t put up crime tape and call for detectives. They destroyed this crime scene and made it impossible for the D.A. to obtain a conviction.
They literally dismantled the scene completely. I've never seen anything like that before
On CZcams this isn't the first time a case has been shown with officers mishandling evidence and it always makes me wonder if some of the officers know the perpetrator and don't want anything to happen to them. 🤔 it's too odd not to be that.

Police academy movie
Suzanne's phone went silent, evermore, at the time her husband returned to their home (Saturday afternoon, the day before Mothers' Day), according to the arrest affidavit. We are to believe she went biking, w/o her phone, w/o even turning it on (in order to receive texts from her girls, which she would surely expect).
The mountain lion took the phone. And Barry said something at the police station like "it was divine intervention." He got to send in her voter card for her to vote for Trump.
@@SolutionsWithin Chaffee county seems a hotbed of election fraud (actually, former or current home of Eric Coomer), but nonetheless, Morphew shouldn't have voted for his wife (it does feel bizarre, like how much emphasis would've been attached if it'd been a vote for Biden). I love the bit about the lion taking the phone. You have an excellent sense of humor. 🤣
@KTC CLUBS well, if you’ve been following the case since go then you’d know a lot about the case too.
@KTC CLUBS for instance, Barry was the only known person who was with Suzanne went missing.
*when she went missing (according to when all her communications ended). According to all the records, he was with her. Fact
Omg!!! He doesn't ask about Suzanne. I would be yelling for my spouse. Just says. "Lion".
Why did the officer not process the crime scene? He just grabs the bike. What a joke?
Complete incompetence.
WHY would he touch/move the bike ?!
His body language speaks volumes. He keeps his hands in his pockets, even while “hugging” his friends and loved ones. Every time he suggests some
ridiculous theory, he throws his hands up like he doesn’t know. However, he’s clearly thought about every possible scenario to place blame as far away from himself as possible. He’s fully aware the husband is the first suspect when a wife goes missing so he’s made sure to come up with as many possible scenarios as he can to deflect blame from himself. He’s really trying to force that emotion out and he’s so focused on that, he doesn’t realize he’s projecting it towards inane details. His reaction to finding out the bike was found had the same emotional frequency as suggesting she might have been mauled by a lion. His ego is so big he thinks he’s too smart to be caught. This man screams guilty.
If a normal man thought his wife was just eaten by lions (even tho there’s no blood) how bad would he be FREAKING out. These men watch Hollywood movies and think “oh it can’t be that difficult to be an actor; after all these Hollywood types are idiots anyway!!” uh….wrong Barry-oh.
Agree. I’m scared to death he’s going to walk.
💯 Body language is totally closed and not in panic mode
Can't believe the cops didn't immediately go check out Barry's truck for evidence.
He has his arms crossed ~ reminds me of someone else
Does anyone else remember how the daughters just “happened” to be camping the day she went missing.
I know right? Running out of coincidences.
Barry sent his sister to take the girls away on a camping trip, on Mother’s Day, during a pandemic, and lockdown. 🙄
I’m guessing Suzanne didn’t have any say in that decision along with all the other decisions like having a whole house in interior decor style “man cave.”
@@SolutionsWithin I thought it was said the girls were with friends?
@@gracejohnson2186 he said "the daughters are out of town a the moment; and the dad is at a work job in Denver." Barry got his sister to take the daughters on a camping trip during a lock down, during a pandemic. How convenient. I just thought it was a weird way to answer "have you seen Suzanne?" Officer: "Have you seen Suzanne?" Young boyfriend: "yeah, the daughters are out of town at the moment." Sounded very rehearsed too and like he was worried he wasn't saying his lines right. The daughters are standing firmly by the dad, absolutely refuse to talk to Suzanne's relatives who love those girls very much and miss them, and now this! The daughter's boyfriend sounding rehearsed and not answering the question. I mean, if the officer asks have you seen Suzanne and he answers "yeah" and stutters, is that a Freudian slip???
The husband is too calm and tried to give a alibi... how can you be so calm if your wife is missing?
What sensible and LEGITIMATE caring human being who comes up on a scene like that and the first impression HE says is “lion, mountain lion”!?!? My goodness, that would be the furthest thought from my mind little long even say something like that at that point in time..
Barry was pushing a narrative. A normal person would at least ask about his wife, call out her name, maybe. But, not Barry. He goes straight to the mountain lion did it. Cops saw right through his bs.
Actually that is exactly what a mountain lion attack looks like. And they can drag a person quite a distance.
@@listenup872 there would be a "plant" trail. They grab by head and drag, yes
IMO he seems EXTREMELY composed for someone who's wife just got either abducted or eaten by a lion... Just saying.
The way Barry has his hands in his pockets is just weird. If my partner went missing I'd be pacing around and in a rush to go look or do something
That’s cause he knows where she is. She could almost be in a well or something. I wonder if they checked wells out on the property
It’s a red flag moment. Under extreme stress, anxiety and fear the hands move up to the head, face and ears. We might wring our hands to release tension and anxiety. Given the gravity of the situation - casually putting the hands in the pocket is an indicator of how relaxed, comfortable and confident Barry is. This is not a man in fear. The dry eye crying seems fake.
Could be defense wounds on his hands that he is trying to hide ?

👏 well done to the officers contaminating a possible crime scene !!! To the family : sue the hell out of that department !! I hope she is found safe 🙏
To catch a gaslighting artist at there own game you need to pay attention to what they “DO” , and listen to what they say very carefully.
When the cops are at Barry’s house and they ask him to take them to something that Suzzane was wearing “that day” , Barry say’s nothing ( when he should have said “I have no idea what Suzzane was wearing today “ )
Instead, Barry takes them immediately to the walk in closet and pointed to the floor where the cop picks up a piece of blue underwear 🩲and something else !
1- if Barry left at 5am when Suzzane was sleeping, he wouldn’t have a clue what colour underwear she was wearing that day or anything else she would have been wearing,as well as where Suzzane would have left them!
2- This proves that Barry is pushing a narrative, because he wouldn’t have a clue what Suzzane wore that day , meaning that this clothing was most likely the last clothing Suzzane wore when she was alive and he tranquilizer darted her the day before and he took it off of her and put it there .
3- when Barry is asked for a bag for this evidence, he goes to the kitchen drawer to get a plastic bag , if you watch in slow motion carefully, he pulls a slight of hand by moving the glad box to the front of the drawer and he disposes of something from his pocket under the glad box ( which you can hear the item drop ) and then he grabs a different box in the drawer and gets a baggy out for the cop !
Barry Morphew is a gaslighting specialist, but we can clearly see by his actions that they don’t match the words he wants the world to believe.
I am not saying he is innocent but he nmost likely knew what she had on in bed and she may have been sleeping in the blue underwear. That would have been something she was wearing that day. They also may put their dirty clothes in the same spot everyday. So that logic you stated could very well be dispusted. I am also wondering if anything was laying g on top of the mountain biking shorts they took. Where they from a previous day?
@@jess85 this is exactly how expert level gaslighting works…… they engineer open ended possibilities to make you doubt reality, so you have to catch them with their actions.
-watch Barry dump Suzanne’s key fob with a slight of hand, into the baggie drawer under the right side of the glad box when he gets the baggie for the police .
You have to slow the speed of the video down to .25x and hit play and pause really quickly to freeze each frame by a micro second and you’ll see him ditch her key fob from his right hand into the drawer and then drop the glad box on top of them .
Just like Chris Watts did when he immediately went into shannan’s suv in the garage, when the cops let the murderer back in the home.
Gaslighting is psychologically difficult to figure out, but it’s easy when the actions are caught and they don’t match the reality of the situation.
🤦Wow, you have an imagination.
Didn't Barry point to the clothing on the floor or in a dirty clothes basket within the closet. LEO took biker's shorts and a sports bra. @Tyson - good eye on seeing the key fob drop. Had been wondering what that extra noise was when he was in the drawer. Notice only one bar stool is pulled away from the bar. That's where he sat when eating the steak he cooked for himself Saturday night. Only one plate was found in the dishwasher. Barry told FBI Agent Grusing that they shared a steak. What a liar!
Wow.....because of you...I'm Goin to watch this. How are you so good at spotting gaslighting? I want to learn

Normally - if someone is distressed and out of their mind with worry, they don't keep their hands in their pockets. This guy is not a cop...his wife was cheating (reasonable cause)...court of public opinion (he's a man)...plus evidence.
He's getting the syringe.
In other words...that hillbilly cop could have left semen anywhere he pleased on top of the prints he put on that bike...and because he's a cop... he'd never be looked at twice. Unless the husband was a cop. But let's be real. That douche is 97% guilty.
Omg that's really creepy he was saying her name out loud and someone said yeah... Wtf
This guy sure knows alot almost as if he is trying to make his alibi so believeable. Did the husband actual say he killed his wife because with him being out of town during the disappearance, maybe they are looking at the wrong place. These cops are not smart putting their hands potentially all over evidence so how do you trust their judgement on anything??
It doesn’t matter. They got the killer’s prints on the bike anyway. Not a big deal. The didn’t know it was a crime scene or suzannes bike at that time either.
@Solutions Within ...if I was missing , I wouldn't want that cop responding to the call. Just my personal opinion
Where is poor Suzanne?! 😔 I hope they find her so her daughters and family can have some closure. This is such a heartbreaking case. 💔
Maybe in the river where her bike was found
No, Suzanne is gone. Ask the self-centered monster what he did with her.
I think there's GPS evidence of him visiting several different dumpsters.
@@randallsmerna384 there's actually video surveillance of him stopping at multiple dumpsters (albeit grainy but nevertheless....).
I read theories early on that he dismembered her & likely disposed of her piece by piece.
I don't think he got his hands dirty tho. He hired someone & had planned this awhile ago. Before moving to CO!
@Do not Comment right, but I'm saying fact is he visited several dumpsters and is seen on video surveillance.
Early theories by others suggested he dismembered her.
My theory is he paid someone else & perhaps got nervous the day of/days after and begin to dispose of everything that might connect him/other person.
Way to go cops you touch the bike you should know you walked all over the scene you could’ve been able to tell by leaving it if it was in the foot prints going up to the biker brush but no you guys walked over it good job good training
Not sure where the bike was when the officer pointed to it, but it surprised me that her husband immediately asked where it was found, instead of assuming it was found exactly where it was.
I've watched way too many Crime vids today. I found myself jealous of that house they lived in. Get me a four legged best friend. The only thing we'd kill is time.
Weird
It looks like a big man cave. I guess he had grand dillusions of being single. Well, now he is!!
@@SolutionsWithin he was going to be a professional hunting guide in his hunting lodge.....
Sounds good.
He says “Where’s the bike?” … “is it a crash?” NO “Lion?” NO ….. was it those pesky chipmunks?? I is a good man. I is hunting and chasing chipmunks. I protect! This goon is an idiot.
Your username would be a good title for a documentary on how guilty this man is with what happened to his wife. Just saying
It's crazy just how much the boyfriend knows her routine. I mean it's definitely understandable bc my son's gf practically lives with us so
Can you say...police academy 101...Never disturb potential evidence. Takecpics, wear protective coverings on feet, hands ect...take pics...🤔🤷🏻♀️
God the first thing I would show the jury is the video of the cop touching the bike . 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Idiotos for grabbing the bike! No pics no gloves no common sense or proper training. Smh
"Hey guys, can you please not touch the bike with your hands please?"
I need just my DNA to be on it as well as my mishandling of it that would have damaged evidence.
In my opinion, the defense are not stupid NOT TO KNOW THAT BARRY DID IT. Even defense EYTAN wants all these interviews not to be included in the TRIAL. Mountain Lion? Yeah Barry, the lion will EAT YOU ALIVE !
You all knew American cops were stupid right, you expected him to wipe his grubby prints all over possibly the most important piece of evidence they could find didn't you. As a result of his amazing police detective powers he will soon be awarded Officer of the Month Award.
Or...officer of the year! Fucking incompetents
Why would you touch the bike? Not the best policing…..
There's something off about this kid. I think he knows a lot more than he is admitting. There's so much more than just a murderous, jealous, and controlling husband.
Yeah I've been in denver, I've a big job ! Already giving himself a alibi ffs
15:14 hey sir.. do you happen to have any bags handy…. We didn’t know we’d be actually working today embarrassing 🙈
Yeah but I’m surprised Barry has any bags left after all the trash runs he made that day!!
Who was the “person” that moved her bike without gloves on his hands???!!!
Right
Right! Lol Then he yells to someone else to not touch the bike with their bare hands, yet he already did that and removed the evidence from the scene! Such a joke!
Perhaps I’ve seen too many crime stories but aren’t they supposed to tape off the area and wait for forensics people to show up, and NOT disturb the crime scene!?!?!? This is beyond disturbing to me.
The whole house looks like a hunting lodge. 🤮
Awesome looking house!
Right? A Hunting Lodge...
Right about 11 minutes into this the officer figures out how much he screwed up. He started talking to himself, dancing around the conversation with the dad. Sounds like his voice is cracking and ONLY NOW HE’S CONCERNED ABOUT PRINTS on the bike! Lord have mercy!
Wow. Even civilians know DONT TOUCH A POSSIBLE CRIME SCENE.
Geez 🙄
Since when police are moving evidence or touching without wearing gloves
The handle bars were twisted around, almost as if someone was holding onto them when they flung the bike away.
The le officer has found "something up with the front tyre". How have they not solved this and many many other legal conundrums with him on board...
Why didn't they tape off the area where the bike was found and take pix of area, and look around there before taking the bike.
These officers.......OMG, speechless here.
Home cameras “have been out of commission for awhile” how convenient.
Why are these officers handing the buke without gloves? It could be checked for fingerprints to find the murders prints or dna but look at all the areas this officer has touched the bike!? Seriously even if only the husbands prints are on it, it proves he had everything to do with dumping the bike! Basic training teaches to not touch anything in or around a potential crime scene without gloves!
God be with her and her family. Amen.
how can some people be charged with murder without a body and some people can ONLY be charged with murder WITH a body?
When husband has all the answers instead of questions, it is a red flag-
