- There's a beautiful blue city in Morocco also known as the "blue pearl of Morocco". Chefchaouen is a charming, picturesque city nestled in the Rif mountains and its buildings all throughout the town are painted in various shades of blue.
Chefchaouen also known as Chaouen is about a 4 hour bus ride from Fes. We took the CTM bus to travel to Chaouen and absolutely loved the gorgeous mountain views along the way.

A truly calming feel to the town, color is really relaxing, went well with my coffee ☕and kaya toast 🍞. The simmering pot of Lamb @ 3.01, something to "die" for 😋.

Moroccan lamb is excellent 👌 stuffing lamb in a clay tagine and mixing it with spices is an excellent way to get all the flavors in there 🤤 have a great week too 😁💙

😁 the oj in Morocco was really good, it's more flavourful than the oj we're used to. It was our usual drink of choice while traveling around Morocco 🇲🇦

Chefchaouen is so beautiful, blue is our fav color, so this is so pleasant for us.
Oranges in all that area is so delish.
Those traditional pots look so good, I feel like I can even smell the food through the screen.
Spanish food is highly influenced by Moroccan food, what you are eating Peter, it is a common dish in Spain too. Can't wait to go to Morocco as an adult.
Those percussion instruments reminds me of castanets. How cool you guys got to see that local performance.

Wow what a wonderful city and yeah love the blue there! Oh wow you can't beat freshly squeezed orange juice, just so amazing! Ah yeah definitely cooler up in the mountains and haha good point Peter, smaller place you won't get lost! Heck that soup that Yen had there and trying to explain the flavours, yeah I think it will still be memorable! Still some amazing views up there in the tower and well done for hearing the street music and entertainment there! The blue yeah most interesting and wondering if you got the bottom of the one reason! Ah very strategically placed market stores/stalls on the walk to the mosque! Yeah it did look far away though, but once you just start getting over there didn't take that much time as you said! Yeah stunning views from up there! Great job on this!
Glad you enjoyed this 😊 kind of surreal thinking back on the year and remembering that we were in Morocco. So many incredibly unique and interesting sights. Chefchaouen was definitely a location with special memories for us.
