  • This video demonstrates how to create support fans and trees quickly and easily in Lychee Slicer, using only two hotkeys! See just how versatile manual supports can be!
Find a summary of the instructions below 🔰
Lychee Slicer is available in Free and Pro versions. mango3d.io/dow...
    🔰 Instruction Summary
To create support fans, we start by creating one pillar support. We then create a mini support and copy it as many times as required, with each new mini support originating from the same point on our pillar.
To do so with just two hotkeys:
    1. Press and hold the CTRL+ALT keys, then click two points to create a mini support. The first click will be the tip position and the second the base tip, edit its settings if needed.
    2. With your 1st mini support selected, press and hold the SHIFT+ALT keys, then click as many points on the model as you want to add mini supports in your fan. Each new support will share the origin base tip with your first mini support.
Another useful hotkey is ALT+D which will duplicate in the same location any selected support. You can simply click and drag the duplicate tip to change the support position. This works for mini supports and regular supports.
Remember, you can create manual bracing between two supports. Just press and hold the ALT key and then two clicks (start and end points). Just like the fan, you can continue creating more bracing by pressing and holding the SHIFT+ALT keys then clicking the desired bracing points.
Finally, you can create supports and mini supports from anywhere and everywhere :) On the model of course, but also from any part your supports, including a tip, base, or bracing!
