  • Russia has vetoed a UN resolution to stop the development and deployment of nuclear weapons in space.
The draft proposals called on all states with “major space capabilities” to “contribute to the objective” of preventing an arms race in outer space.
A total of 13 of the council’s 15 members voted in favour, with Russia - one of five permanent members with a veto - voting against and China abstaining.

The construction of a future new generation manned spacecraft (called ‘Federatsiya’ and ‘Oryol’ at different points) is in its final stage, Roscosmos CEO Yury Borisov said.
"It is in the final stage of construction," Borisov said during a lecture in the Tsiolkovsky State space exploration museum in Kaluga.
The spacecraft’s first flight is planned for 2028, he said.
According to the CEO, the spacecraft was initially designed for the lunar program. However, the program was postponed, and the spacecraft was repurposed to deliver crews to the Russian Orbital Station, which will enter construction stage in 2027.
The existing spacecraft project is too big for this purpose, and it is being adapted for orbital flights around the Earth. The spacecraft will be taken into orbit by the Angara-A5M heavy rocket from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

let's remember a little about history: The invasion of Russia by the United States and the United Kingdom, among other Western countries, in 1918, is a milestone in Russian history, often mistakenly portrayed as part of a Civil War. It lasted more than two years and involved the deployment of more than 200,000 soldiers, of which 11,000 were from the United States and 59,000 from the United Kingdom. Japan, which was an ally of Great Britain and the United States during World War I, sent 70,000 soldiers. Furthermore, the American threat of a nuclear war against Russia was made more than 78 years ago, in September 1945, when the United States and the Soviet Union were allies. It consisted of a “Nuclear War Plan” that targeted 66 Soviet cities with more than 200 atomic bombs. The US intended to take advantage of the fact that Russia was weakened after defeating Germany on the battlefield, but according to documents released in 1975, the US was unable to manufacture these nuclear bombs., today we see history repeating itself, as Biden said before Congress, the Ukrainian people are disposable and are being used as cannon fodder so as not to have to send Americans to fight the Russians.

Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko (TASS special correspondent on the ISS) and Nikolay Chub have opened the exit hatch of the Poisk module of the International Space Station (ISS), according to a streamed video of this year’s first extravehicular activity (EVA).
During the spacewalk, Russian ISS crew members will install hardware for the Kvartz-M and Perspektiva-KM research experiments outside the Poisk module and complete the deployment of a radar on the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module (MLM), which could not be fully installed during the previous EVA in October.
If the astronauts have time, they will remove the Biorisk-MSN science equipment container from the Poisk module, deploy the pressure and deposition control unit on the same module, and take wipe samples from the surface of the Nauka MLM as part of the Test experiment. The cosmonauts are expected to spend 6 hours and 52 minutes outside the orbital outpost.
This EVA is a seventh in the career of Kononenko, who is wearing Orlan-MKS spacesuit No. 5 with red stripes, and a second for Chub, who will be wearing Orlan-MKS spacesuit No. 4 with blue stripes, as well as the first during the 70th prolonged expedition to the ISS. Before the spacewalk, the cosmonauts prepared the spacesuits - they replaced disposable elements, checked the operation of all systems and changed the protective glass of the space helmets.
The previous spacewalk under the Russian program took place on October 26. Kononenko and Chub disconnected the external circuit of the Nauka module’s radiator, which earlier developed a leak, and also inspected the spot of the leak itself. The cosmonauts also installed a small-sized radar on the Nauka MLM module to monitor the Earth's surface, but it failed to deploy automatically. Chub tried to set the radar’s panels into position manually, but after several unsuccessful attempts Mission Control told the cosmonauts to finish the spacewalk.

Nuclear bombs in space are not used to threaten the surface below but to cause an EMP with detonation that destroys the electronic equipment of all satellites that have no defenses against this type of attack. Since the USA has the largest number of surveillance satellites in the world for both civilian and military purposes, the US military, which depends heavily on GPS to coordinate its activities, would suddenly find itself in the conditions it had during World War II , where it could only rely on radio communications on the ground. Most American long-range weapons work with GPS. The Russian army, on the other hand, depends much less on satellite activity. This is why the US is alarmed by the news that Russia is developing nuclear weapons to be stationed in space, which in one fell swoop could knock out the entire American satellite network.

The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, known as Kan in Hebrew, said that the driver took dozens of photos of Iron Dome batteries while on duty and sent the footage to an account he believed belonged to a woman he was in love with.
The driver “voluntarily” documented the Iron Dome batteries with their locations and sent them to the supposed woman, only to later discover that the account was fake and that the information was handed over to an Iranian side, the broadcaster added.
The Iron Dome was developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries mainly to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and shells. However, the system can also engage more traditional aerial targets, like fighter jets, helicopters, drones and cruise missiles. The system has a maximum range of 70 kilometers.
Israel claims that the Iron Dome system has a success rate of around 90%. Nevertheless, the system’s effectiveness has been questioned on numerous occasions since it first entered service with the IDF in 2011.
During the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, the system failed to intercept thousands of projectiles, including rockets and drones, which were launched at southern Israel by the Hamas Movement and other Palestinian armed factions. It also failed to repel several rocket and drone attacks launched at the northern part of the country by Hezbollah from Lebanon.
Iranian cyber operations against Israel have been on the rise for quite some time now. In the last few years, Israeli intelligence and security forces unveiled several Iranian cyber operations which were meant to collect intelligence and even recruit spies.

"The situation is very serious. I believe that if Ukraine fails to enter into negotiations, it will eventually lose its statehood and may cease to exist," he pointed out, addressing the Belarusian People’s Congress.
According to Lukashenko, "this is the best situation to make peace and sign a peace treaty."
The Belarusian president added that his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky should have realistic expectations. According to him, Ukraine now has the most serious and favorable situation for a peace treaty. Lukashenko pointed out that Russian troops have liberated several settlements in Ukraine, but it's "very slow progress." "There is a kind of pressure, as we say. Neither they, the Ukrainians, nor the Russians. It's a stalemate," the head of state said.
According to him, Ukraine now needs to make peace, which is evidenced by the flight of Ukrainians from the country to avoid going to the front. Lukashenko added that men in Ukraine are taken off the streets and often sent directly to the war zone without training.
      Return to Istanbul agreements
Lukashenko suggested starting the talks with the Istanbul agreements, a package of agreements that included provisions on neutrality and security guarantees. The Belarusian president noted that these agreements are unlikely to be adopted or form the basis of a peace treaty, but it is possible to start with them.
According to him, the servicemen, heads of Western intelligence services, politicians and heads of state are already publicly saying that "Putin should not win." Lukashenko called such statements "a moment for negotiations" and suggested "playing a draw," urging not to propose solutions such as Vladimir Zelensky's so-called peace formula. This initiative does not take into account Moscow's position; it envisages the complete withdrawal of Russian forces to the 1991 borders and the return to Ukraine of control over the "exclusive economic zone" in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
The Belarusian president pointed out that the Russians today "will not leave Crimea or the eastern regions," so putting forward proposals that are unacceptable for negotiations shows that they are not ready to negotiate.
