Carlos was a beast on this board. It makes me think maybe the equipment could be advanced past it's roots and this was a good first step.

If you mean him on the balance board at the end, but those have also been out for about 30 years and he has ridden one and probably has one at home.
The board is not made of wood but some pvc composite looking material with trucks mounted in an unusual way. I'd imagine that board weighs less than a normal board, though who knows, maybe it's the same. When Carlos did that grind in primo position down that flat hand rail... I've never seen a regular board do that. It's "Advanced" in the sense that the traditional skateboard parts could be changed and that could push the sport past its wooden roots and offer possibly some new tricks that maybe just weren't possible before. Not that I have anything against traditional boards... this just was impressive to watch from something that looked like it was just going to be a kids toy. Peace dude.

Makes things super relatable, and not just a video of "oh cool look all these cool tricks" but more like "look. these tricks are hard, and it's totally okay to not get it down the first 50 - 5,000 tries. but eventually....."

7:15 I have this fun game I play sometimes when watching you guys try to do the rail. I close my eyes right when anyone jumps to the rail and then just listen to the crazy loud noise of... usually the fall and try to imagine what happened and then rewatch it.
