1) have a cat
2) wear confortable clothes
3) take breaks (this really helps me too=))
4) change your study location
5) have a study plan
6) get enough sleep (yeah, this also applies to me because I can't understand anything when I am sleepless..)
thanks for the tips Jamie!
i wish that there were more public libraries than shopping malls in my country
TiffanyGx Same! In my country it so hard to find a public library to go to.
from where do you belong
Sounds like my country, Philippines. 😭
Same here. Both my own country and the country I live in.
Ikrrrrr I really want more libraries !!!
STAY AWAY FROM CZcams ... BELIEVE ME IT IS THE BEST WAY TO STUDY LONGER
Oops
NO, it wasn't always true. It depends on how you manage it. You can get so many adorable things from youtube. If you only use for fun yeah you may waste your time then. Meanwhile, if you watch some motivational or knowledgeable videos, then you may not waste your time for sure.
@@unsiafika nope, using CZcams makes a craving you can't control. it's a distraction unless you're legit studying some courses
@@unsiafika agreed. If you’re using study music or use discipline with CZcams, there’s no need to stay away from it...
1. The setup
2. Take breaks
3. Change your study location
4. Have a study plan
5. Get enough sleep
How to study for longer periods : *stay away from CZcams* 🤗🤗
I've noticed... gotten to the point were I had to literally block and delete the app
i will, straight after this vid ok
I still find other ways to procrastinate 😫
NO, it wasn't always true. It depends on how you manage it. You can get so many adorable things from youtube. If you only use for fun yeah you may waste your time then. Meanwhile, if you watch some motivational or knowledgeable videos, then you may not waste your time for sure, dude.
Good advice
Literally her videos motivate me to work harder and achieve my goals and be more productive
Can you please make a video on how to deal with delayed gratification? As med students we miss out on so many social events and sometimes it gets quite hard to deal with (FOMO is real)
Great video - study location is key!! Keep it up - I definitely thought the last year of med school was hardest with all the stress/uncertainty of residency applications... you've got this!!
Violin MD omg you two are my role models!!! I love that y’all always post positive comments to each other:)
Shame I have no other option than my room to study 😥😥😥
How much I would love to go to a library 😭
Stuti R. Why can't you go to the library

Me 2💔
Same :(((
Study 2 months for step 1, 2 weeks for step 2, number 2 pencil for step 3. You'll do great 🤓👍🏼
Jenny hope ur doing great ♡
Thanks Jenny!
Jenny Le Sounds too shorter times for me. Unless of course it is easier to become a doctor in USA or people are just super
intelligent. Here in Switzerland you just have to study hard right from the beginning - competition here is tough for a university placement. Otherwise you are out.
Which year is the right time to take step 1...Pls guide me
Jenny Le What do the exams consist of? Like are you specifically given what to study? Just curious, I’ll be starting a pre med program soon(:
Exactly what I needed right now. Perfect timing! Thank you Jamie!
Definitely need this to keep my grades up for college 😭💖🙌🏼
simplymaci gang gang
I'm a Japanese med student, and this video was very helpful for my motivation to study!! Thanks so much!!!
Do foreigners study medicine in Japan?
shinee2pm
Here in Japan there are few foreigner studying medicine, but some sometimes visit Japan temporarily for their research or clinical practice, and it depends on college. In my college there are very few foreigners learning medicine as a med student.
lucia-medlife thanks for you reply! Cause I was thinking of doing medicine in japan. But from what I see online, there's a lot of ppl saying that it was so hard that it's almost impossible for foreigners to be able to do it. I still have a lot of doubts but I'll do more research about it. Thanks again!
shinee2pm
you're welcome :)
Yes, in some medical college there are special entrance exam for returnee students or international students.
As far as i know, internatiinal university of health and welfare is one of the popular universities that encourage students from abroad learning medicine. But if you look into more you'll find more universities or colleges which provide international students with chance to apply for ! Good luck
cf. sorry, if my english is difficult to understand!
lucia-medlife thanks for the extra info! Will check them out! Not at all, your English is very good and I understand it completely ☺️
Oooh, I really like the excel sheet as a study planner. I'm gonna steal that! 😁
Savannah Silvas me too hahahaa.. Hope it works for us as well 😊
yaaaaayyyy!!!!!! college is stressing me out this semester so i love watching your videos to relax and unwind! love you jamie
Watching this instead of studying for my exams but this motivated me so thank you!!!
So so helpful! I love all your vlogs!!
I am going to study now.
just wanted to tell you Jamie that I absolutely love your videos and your aesthetic! your videos are so helpful for high school students love you !!!
Good luck with Step 2 CK!! Thanks for taking the time to post this!
Those were some great tips! I especially like how you emphasized changing up study/break locations because I know I can get distracted sometimes when I stay in the same place for too long.
In my personal experience, I have also found sometimes that studying with a small group of friends can help especially if I come across some difficult material and can work through tough questions with them!
Thanks for the great video as always, good luck on step 2!
Cranial Nerds yes i think friends are crucial as well. They give you support, motivations and pushed you to be more productive. But it depends who your friends are some are no future so avoid them. And sometimes in your revision, you also need sometime to be alone to memorise and revise whatever you had studied without being distracted and confused by your friends' way of understanding the materials.
Wow how lucky you are! My friends start gossiping every time I suggest to study together, they pretend sad after exams because they didn’t do well in it, then boooom they had a great grades!!
Me: back to study alone again. 😑
You're so motivating! Thank you sm for all your hard work on these videos!
I'm so dearly thankfull to you for making this video. Not only it gave me the tips on how to study effeciently but also made me motivated after seeing you work so hard. Seriously You Are Amazing! I wish you success and hope *hands crossed* that I score good in my boards.❤🖤
Every time I need motivation to study, all I need to do is watch 6 minutes of you and see your organization and success. So inspiring. Thank you!
I need this so much. I'm a senior in high school and my study time has gone down so much compared to last year. Major case of senioritis
I love that spreadsheet, totally using that. Thank you so much! ❤️
Good tips! Switching between subjects also reduces fatigue, especially if one of the subjects is anatomy 😅, I will expand on this in my Study tips Video
Fantastic! Always enjoy your vids! Keep it coming!
Your tips are great and I especially love how well the vlog is shot! The camera seems great, and the overall editing and what not is awesome! :)
Thanks Taral!
Perfect timing! Where I live, we have a major exam after finishing MedSchool in order to becoming a doctor, so this video couldn`t be more helpful! Good luck!

Tip number one seemed extremely vital, I don't need to watch the rest of the video, I'm gonna subscribe then take a small nap then come bk to binge on your videos, then maybe if you've inspired me I'll study for a lil bit. Idk you but I can tell I already love you 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕gracias CZcams recommendations. ❤️❤️

Great vid ! def gonna use these tips this year 🙏🏼
Loved all your tips! I like to change up my study location as well.
I like the idea of using excel for organizing and planning. Thanks for the tips :)
i was actually looking for a way to need less breaks, but wow! thanks for the advice, i'll look at it better now.
I have discovered your videos this week when I decided to finally get my lazy butt to be productive when it comes to studying instead of cramming the night before- my usual go-to method. I agree 1000% on when you said to find a new spot to study. I live on Long Island and went to Manhattan just to get some work done (sounds crazy but the city really motivates me to work because everyone around you is in the same boat). I found a cute little cafe I've never been to, got myself some coffee, and went to work. I got more done in an hour than I do in 4 hours at my kitchen table!
Good luck Jamie! You are inspiration for me who aspires to be a medical doctor too :)
Right on time! First round of exams in a week!! Thanks
I absolutely love your videos, so informative
I take Cambridge courses in high school and I really need study tips
Thank you so much, Jamie,!! ❤️❤️❤️ God bless you always!

Thanks Jamie , and Goooooof luck with your exam .. Im actually preparing for microbiology final exam next week .
Youre glowing!!
puurrfect timing (heheh). I'm just preparing for my Phisics exam, and I absolutely hate it (worst subject at the University so far, but I still have to pass it :(( ), and I did kind of know all of this tips, but just watching you makes me feel a bit more motivated because it seems like you're so happy with the choices you make, and I would really, really want to be as motivated an happy as you look :) stay so kind as you are, you're going to be an amazing doctor :*
Elena Oreški omg I hate Physics too, it's so agh
Eliane Azevedo
I know, I just really wish I could skip this one exam.. I know there are subjects far more harder and complicated ahead of me, but this one is just the most boring one, and I have really no interest in it 😩😩
I had to learn some physics for a chem course the other day. I highly reccomend khan academy they broke down the concepts soo well. Goodluck!
Thank you very much for the useful tips. Good luck on the step2 exam.
Thanks!
tip #1 live in New York 😏 all these are awesome tips. thanks, Jamie. For me, what works best is definitely studying at home late at night with a cup of coffee. I've never been able to study in public places.
timmy turner Exactly! 😌
Thank you for the tips! They are all really helpful especially the cute cat part. :)
I really enjoyed watching your video, it was great how it was filmed :) xx

Good kick for your exam!✨
thanks for the tips! I am currently studying for the MCAT
Good luck on your exam Jamie💕
Every time I'm unmotivated I come over here to listen to Jamie telling me in a calm voice how to manage my life better & study more 😄✌🏻 and it works!
Hey Jamie. Firstly, I'd like to wish you good luck for your Exam. Secondly, when you are actually sitting down and studying, what methods do you use? Do you rewrite notes/ make mind maps...
Which methods ensure that I remember the facts for the tests and exams?
I would also love to know that :) do you combine methods or do you have something that really works for you? I did see your video on memorization technique, but how do you study subjects that aren't anatomy, you know subjects where you have to memorise (well, not memorise, but learn) bigger texts with multiple new words and definitions :)
Maereg Terefe yes I would love to know!
Thanks for the question! Will definitely talk about this in a future video.
Idk if it helps but you should check out Ana Mascara channel on here, it's a great chanel that shares a lot of practical, scientific based tips and ways to memorize and study well :)
Thuy Dinh Thank you✨. I'll will check it out
