Thank you Jamie. These tips were amazing and real. Please keep these videos coming. You have helped me upgrade my lifestyle and my study routine ❣
They are good tips! I am preparing for the LSAT and this helps.
If I go and study straight after getting up in the morning, I see myself to be more productive and accomplished at the end of the day VS when I spend some time on my phone and checking out my social sites and all after waking up. I prefer keeping my phone wifi off until I've done around 2-3 hours of work. It boosts my stamina.
Thank you Jamie for these tips : )
sehrish rafiq PLUS - how freakin awesome do your feel about yourself in the days where it's 11 AM and you've already studied for 3 hours!!
Exactly RonMD it motivates so much.
sehrish rafiq You got it!
I definitely agree! about a year ago i deactivated my facebook for like a month. I found that i was studying so much more and was actually way more productive because like you said you wake up and you dont lie in bed for 30 mins checking social media you get up straight away and start studying. and also when i was bored or had a mental block typing id find without even realising id open facebook and start scrolling. when it was deleted (or blocked using an app) it wouldn't open and it would be like 'oh hang on, what am i doing??' and id give myself a proper 30 min break instead of just scrolling on the comp for 30 mins. Im an OT student and i totally believe in changing environments during breaks. so if youre typing when studying, during your breaks GET OFF THE COMPUTER! go read a book, or do some baking, or read a magazine. change the environment so that after your break you feel like you've actually had a break from the same type of stimuli.
Emma I totally agree with the "changing your environment part" too.
watching this while procrastinating whaddup
ayyy
Whaddup! 😪
we're living the dream, yo!
Taking time to explore and procrastinate is part of the cycle of progress. Realising time lost then turning to follow paths to productivity: ronnie-writes.blogspot.com/2017/05/5-paths-to-greater-productivity.html
aayyyyeeee 😂.... I should really get back to work. :/
Strive to be the best version of yourself.
Hi Jamie,
I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta, and I use a wheelchair to get around. I love watching your videos and I can't thank you enough for the great tips. I'm currently studying health information management, but I love hearing your story of the medical school journey! Thanks so much for inspiring me to work harder each day.
Austin Davert
Thanks for watching Austin and good luck with health information management!
Thanks Jamie! Good luck in Med School!! You got this!! :D
Damn, 3 -5 minute breaks? My minimum break is 30 minutes which usually turns into a four hour break :D I do like the last tip - JUST DO IT!
YOU ARE A LIVING ANGEL!!! thank you for inspiring a thousands of people, including myself. love love love you vlog!! keep on motivating us, may God bless you!
I don't think you will ever realize how helpful you are!!! thank you sooo much for all your advice! God bless you so abundantly:)
This couldn't have been uploaded at a better time! Been struggling to stay motivated for exams but your videos somehow always manage to remind me to stay on track! Thanks!
Watched this over my study break, and I'm going back to study with so much motivation. Love your channel! Keep the videos coming ♥️ So much love coming your way from Kenya 🇰🇪 💕
Studying right now and been waiting for this video, find them so helpful! Thanks Jamie :)xx
Honestly so helpful. Not repetitive and very well explained! Thankyou Jamie!
jamie thank you for creating this channel. you saved my school life
Thank you so much for all the work you put into your videos. I recently found your channel and you've been such an inspiration, can't wait to see more uploads 💕
Thank you, Jamie! I use Pomodoro as well!!!!
Love you so much.
My problem is after those first few hours of studying I take a break but then it is so hard to come back for the second half I either cannot concentrate or find a million other excuses.
I like to study somewhere different every few days if not I get burnt out sitting in the same spot or area for several days in a row
I think u should try to make your work a habit. Everyday try to sit to do work at same time. This should train your brain work.😀
Not sure how often you respond to these comments, but I just found your channel right before my dedicated period for Step 1. I start my internal med rotation tomorrow and I must say this video and the whole channel has made me not only look even more forward to 3rd year, but helped me get a better idea of how to adjust my life for the new school year. Thank you so much Jamie! :)
Description box is so thorough and helpful. Thank you!

Watched this in first year, now I'm in fourth year watching it again. Already in my liked videos! Jamie you're a grade saver :)
great tips Jamie! Thanks. I am hopefully returning to school in the fall. These will all help me
Thank you so much Jamie 🌸 I lovee your channel as well as your 'study with me' videos on your other one (: I look forward to new ones from your channels as well as replaying older ones as motivators throughout my day whether it be while studying or at work. This was laid out realistically! I started using the pomodoro technique as well since some of my friends in college shared their time managing apps to focus (I use the focus keeper app & just recently downloaded the Forest app also!) and put time into work and strictly putting away unnecessary items around them for clear space when studying! Really loved how you ended the video because at the end of the day it's all up to us to do the work and strive for success! Really appreciate the tips, thank you!
Thanks Jamie for your effective tips! 💖💖💖
Loved all the awesome tips! Especially tracking time has been working great for me too👍🏻❤️
Thanks Lena!
taking care of yourself is really important, we all love what we're doing such as studying but we love other things as well (like watching Netflix y 'all know what I'm saying) so it's not bad to dedicate some time of our days doing these things!! that's a very helpful video Jamie! stay strong through that hard path called med school, we all believe in you, lots of love :')

Hi Jamie! I love your videos so much they are so motivating and inspire me to work hard :) Can you do a video where you talk about what to do when you don't do as well on an exam as you had hoped, and some tools you use to improve and do better next time?
thank you for this video it came on the exact time for me
I’ve always wanted to be a surgeon and I love how real you are about medical school and everything. I’m obsessed with your videos! I also have noticed you always have your headphones on while you study, do you have a certain playlist that you recommend? Or any songs that can help?
i needed this so much. thank you.
Great video. Your editing style is really awesome.
Your tips are common sense but needed to be emphasize or hear it from someone. Thanks for the video. LOL!
Great tips!!
These tips were awesome! Thank you!
Thank you so much for being so helpful :)) ❤️ Btw I love how outspoken you are!
Oh and another helpful technique that i have recently found is to download the app noise block (or another one) the concept is to block every sound around you for a much better concentration, that has changed a lot for me !!
excellent ideas thank you!
this is very helpful! thank you!
Hello Jamie...I m ur fan ..just wow....thanks for being a source of inspiration for me
I like that pomodoro technique... Surely gonna use it😀
definitely going to try these 👌🏻
Exactly what I needed! :D
Can you do a video about what you eat during the day?
you seem to be a great person and to be doing really well in medicine as well. I am definitely going to follow your channel! ;)
thanks jamie! I think it will be helpful to me.I am disgusting about procrastinating these days.
My favorite one is last tip.Just start it. Dont worry.Thanks.
your videos are so relaxing to watch :P
I feel that wakng up early is also key to make your day and time count. Plus, planning and pomodoro are very helpful to improve productivity.
I use the Quality Time app on my smart phone which helps to track the duration you use your phone, what apps you use, and how often u unlock it. It's useful to see what you're wasting time on and also has the option to 'take breaks' by locking the phone; only allowing certain app usage for a specified period
Great vid!
