Im pretty sure they're referring to water from condensation in the air lines, not exterior water.
This
Agreed! The condensation will eventually restrict or prevent movement of internal valve parts due to corrosion of the aluminum body and moving parts. It’s one of the biggest problems in pneumatic control systems, that’s why they put air dryers after the receiver/storage air tanks and drain traps off the bottoms of each tank. You will eventually need to reposition the air manifold/control block as recommended so that the vent port will allow at least some condensation drainage.
Love the build- good luck
love the 3-piece wheel idea. One of the best ways to modernize OEM wheels.
AL13 can make the wheels. Also contact Creative Bespoke in Phoenix, AZ for more wheel shops that can do the conversion.
allso a good way to fix a wheel set where one of the rim edges is broken off or bend beyond fixing
Chris - looking at online images of Murci's, none of them show the rear wheel being so off-center to the wheel arch as yours is. Suggest you check to see if your rear suspension is 'bent' forwards.
Google "Lamborghini murcielago rear wheel fitment" within the first 6 images you can see how off it is. Additionally the closer the wheel gets to the arch the more evident it is.
Yeah they're not meant to be like that. Something is definitely bent
Matt Armstrong can probably send him some measurements
Agreed. That's way too forward
@@cheesepizza87 Or Ed Bolian who he already has contact with and has 3 Murcielagos parked in his driveway...
Just be aware of condensation in the lines if you are going to mount the manifold upside down. That's probably what they are referring to rather than water getting in from externally.
Maybe install a desiccant filter if it doesn’t already have one.
If air suspension pumps air in from atmosphere there will be moisture in the lines. Suggest you put driers or dehumidifiers in the lines.
Yep some kind of air drier and water separator.
its fiiine upsidedown. minitruckers have been doing it as long as these manifolds have been a thing.
This is the type of work I subscribed for back in the day with your GTR.
You should make the widebody flow seamlessly into the rest of the body lines. That and the OEM+ 3-piece wheels would make the ultimate OEM+ Murcielago.
Something that looks cooler without anyone being able to set a finger on exactly why! 😄
Oh for sure. I’m done with the bolt on look.
I’m happy you’re just repairing and modding the Lambo, really enjoying this build 💙
Chris, the ground clearance is one thing, but the overhang is what makes the difference. 5 inches of clearance with 10 inches of overhang will clear obstacles that 10 inches of clearance with 25 inches of overhang won’t. Something to think about. It’s all about the approach angle.
So glad you’re choosing to save this amazing automobile
But it sounds like they are going to modify it. So sort of saved.
@@jiminauburn5073not "sort of" a modded car can always be returned to stock. A destroyed car or Tesla swap is just wasteful garbage.
@@jiminauburn5073 look the state of this car, even if its get modified its still better then it going to scrapyard
More like Amazon vehicle (for the discount).
RWB LAMBO!??!
Chris , I hope you pay Oscar really well cuz he has some awesome talent...great job Oscar
I'm actually more interested in the wide-body plan with the OEM 3 piece wheel idea. Should look sick
Taking your time on this build is the way to go. Now this should be your Sema Build for this year. Go and get it painted well with a professional and the whole nine yard
Exactly, i cant stand to see sema builds with wraps in place of paint
20 minutes ago I was just thinking, "Haven't seen much of Chris & B Is For Build for a while...".
Hallelujah!!
Glad you're the ones bringing this back from despair. Can't wait to see the widebody! Liberty Walk's wb Murcie pulls it off just right. Not over the top. Can't wait to see what you do with this build 👍🏽
if you are running 2 batteries they should be the size and spec for charging with the alternator to keep them balanced
This. They both need to have the same cyclic and float charge rates (volts DC and amps), and your alternator needs to output the proper amounts to make sure you dont destroy your new expensive LiIon battery. Either upgrade both batteries and the alternator, or just put a battery in and accept the weight. Usually a li ion battery want 14.4-14.8 VDC, same as an AGM.
If he’s joining them they need to be the same type also lithium-lithium AGM-AGM etc
Oscar is a mad genius!
BIFB back to their roots! Rebuilding cars - I love it!
The price tag on that chassis is crazy
Oscar is a true artist :)
Love this build and Oscar is a mad man. I'm sure you compensate generiously Chris and that man is worth every penny.
Salvaging the salvage lambo 🙌🏼
why is there so much hyoe for bad widebody such a beautiful chassis I don't get it
Your music score on this episode is off the hook! Nice work!
Great to see Kyle back!
Don't T the lines from either side together. As you corner, the one side compressors and sends the excess pressure to the other side
I was looking for this 👆
Would be much better to have independent all around Chris
I highly recommend getting a press you guys have the room and its very useful for doing Suspension parts even differentials and transmission
As soon as you started talking about the wheels i knew you were going to 3 piece them, that's going to piss off a lot of purist but i'm all in for that! Can't wait to see how they turn out! Also, seems like the rear wheel fitmet is a bit off, i know they aren't perfectly centered from factory but yours look a bit off, just ask Ed to send you a few pictures of his 3 Murcielagos.
Welcome back Kyle! I missed seeing you in the videos :)
*I like where this build is going, can’t wait to see the wide body design, hopefully it compliments the factory Murcie body lines*
Give em a like folks. They're working hard to bring this thing back with the limited budget they have. Some things may not be as you want them to be, but it's a lot better than having the car gutted for parts or junked. This is a true rescue.
I'm diggin' this build too. Great choice to bring it back
Sick build!!! Love seeing you guys do, what you do best! Cheers boys
Agreed! Love watching the guys work! Great team. I hope our channel can be even half as good as this one day
Very pleased with the wheel choice
18 with chunky tyres for sure.
The water ingress isnt from the exterior. Its the compression and decompression of air that create's condensation in the tanks, lines and manifold. This happens alot in humind and pretty varying temps like in your area. You can also add whats called water traps to take the water out but the manifold is more about that condensation freezing in the solenoids I believe.
You can also add 1 tablespoon of Air brake anti-freeze into the tanks coming into winter to also prevent freezing water, just have to bleed it out of the tanks come spring.
super happy you chose to put it back together. mega stoked about the wheels
Chris great vid, love the build.
Most exciting build ever. Love your game plan.
Genius 3pc wheel idea man… going to look sick!
In the process of watching. Oscar makes Superman look limp. I admire the skills.
Love the progress and improvements. 🤘🏻
Love seeing you guys working on “Sports Cars” again although I do love that beautiful boat!
Really loving this build and your build process...You all are visionaries!
And Kyle is back! Love when the whole team is working together
@19:50 that jam is so good and relaxing
I know someone has already mentioned this but Chris needs to see this and either re-configure or maybe add an evaporator of some kind. Environmental moisture isn’t the main source for water ingress they would be warning about. Most likely cause would be condensation making its way through the lines and into the manifold. If it makes its way past that and into the suspension parts then you will have problems.
If you decide to use the same size wheels at the front and the rear, make sure you do the 2WD conversion. Factory wheels at the front are smaller in diameter than the rear, and any change in ratio destroys the 4WD transmission.
If you want the whole car to drop simultaneously you can match the front air line to the length of the rear air line and tuck the excess away. Since your manifold is in the front the airlines to the front are a lot shorter so they dump the air faster than the rear so your front is bottomed out before your rear even starts dropping
so happy yall going with the 3p on the herc wheels
super sick build
First Merci I’ve seen on bags!!! 👌🏽
Oscars fabricating skills never seize to amaze me, out of every automotive youtube channel I watch (a-lot of channels) Oscar is without a doubt the best.
Great job so far guys 👍🏻
IMO you guys should go slightly smaller wheels and tires, and not do the wide body.
🤣😂
This build is getting better and better!!!
Great job guys.
Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
nice dude, i enjoy this rebuild.
oscar needs a raise he is carrying this build geez
Loving this build. Hoping you guys cleanup some of the rust and dirt on the frame an various nuts/bolts.
Nice work guys
This build is Awesome
The 3piece idea is sick
Cool to have an old school B is for Build project again man! Stoked to see whats coming
happy new year, everyone, nice job, thanks again 👍
Was looking forward to this over Xmas. Great progress 2024
You are so lucky all that damage & it didnt damage whishbone mounts etc amazing great job guys.
Yeah those lambo rims are gonna look sick
Can't wait to see more of this build.
I agree. I need more than one a week. But also since we've started our own channel and release 1 a week...I can understand it would be hard to do more than one a week
Excited to see this build through. Was wondering when you were going to announce you were wide bodying it. The OG fans knew that was coming.
You should look into vibration dampening/isolation mounts for the compressors to help eliminate that pump noise. Land Rover does an extremely good job with their mounting systems (reduced to a very very light/pleasant hum outside the vehicle). I think it'll help push the builds detailing that little bit further with it. Keep rocking it!
The car look sick all the way dropped down! Great project again sir!
Thanks for the quick shop tour, the collection is still proudly collecting dust! Can't wait for the Murci though
Genius at Work!
First comment from Portugal!!!! Let´s Go!!! Can´t wait to see this finished!!!!
Parabéns irmão! 😎👍 🇺🇸🍻🇵🇹
@@lusoamericanpatriot1984 hey hey hey!!!
Love the stock wheels ❤
Love the build plans, peace!
Gotta see you drive the Datzun M5 soon again..been a long time since last time.. give us a drive!! Awsome widebody Murci.
Regarding the lithium battery: you may want to consider putting a DC-DC charger in between that and the alternator. Depending on what sort of lithium battery you’re getting, they can pull an unregulated amount of power from the alternator, potentially putting too much of a load on it, and killing it prematurely. The DC-DC charger essentially puts a cap on the rate of charge and how much it can pull from the alternator.
Happy New Year - you've been doing crazy stuff - wonderful times in 2024..
I don’t think it’s fair we had to wait almost 2 weeks for another Lamborghini video 😂 Kidding! Nice work as always!
Thank you brother
Oscar is the true rockstar in making this car run again! Soo talented! Hope you pay him well.
Yeah! Wide Murci! Its going to be Nice dude!
I really enjoy your content
Love the air suspension . That’s a good add on 😊
Love those wheels. Really appreciate the classic look of a 5 spoke.
Love 5 spoke, simple, classic
I love the idea of a widebody. Widebodies are awesome and 3 piece wheels are also my favorite type of wheels ever. This is going to be amazing
I loved the klye is back interruption😂
The Lamborghini wheels are awesome can't wait till you make them into a three peace wheel. Love them . Can't wait.
Oscar needs a raise...lol! Great video! Lovin this series!
Oh he totally deserves a raise! Every shop needs an Oscar!
I love how to build is coming out
Love the 3 piece wheel deal
Love the new wheels
It made me smile when the car sank to lowest ride hight, what a sick build!
Haha it was definitely cool! I had a buddy that would set his car down when parked. No one could take it if they tried (it was a cavalier so probably not an issue) but it was actually really cool build
The widebody looks sick! Like the meatier tire
Happy New year everyone ✨️
That stainless piece in the caliper transfer tube is to keep fluid in the tube from boiling. I'd rebuild that hose and put that tube in. Typically they're RTV'd in place along with the tube to the caliper. Connecting the airbag sides creates an anti-anti-sway bar. It will cause the car to sway more than it should in corners.
FINALLY someone is doing a LAMBO rebuild video on CZcams! Sweet!!!
Are you joking? You're joking right? 😂
Mat Armstrong 🇬🇧, with his lime green Lambo Murciélago, here on CZcams lol! 😂 But I’m glad B is for Build, is restoring this Murciélago as well, I like to see all these exotic cars being restored, & being put back on the road! 😎👍💯 🛣️ 🚘
You must be new to CZcams if you think this is the first. Or you're joking. There are LOADS of Lambo rebuilds. Tavarish, Mat Armstrong etc etc
@@StrKillin 😉
@@davidbenji1 ok good joke I guess lol
Love the 3 pice wheel idea was thank the same thing fore one of my cars
go with the 18" and the Meet 💪🏻
Amazing 🤩🤩
So glad your making them 3pc wheels best idea Chamaro boy started this type of thing
really like the original wheel idea, but can't figure out why the differing gaps around the wheel arches, very strange...
