The racing stripes are 100% the right choice. Looks 10 times better with them
10x better? NAH a million times better.
@@rogeralbans4082I'd say 1 billion.
When he mentioned racing stripes I was hesitant. But the reveal is better than I could have imagine.
Absolutely! I 💯% agree🔥🔥🔥👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Definitely! 😁👍 makes a huge difference.
Saw it person Tuesday. Didn’t realize you had road-tripped it. Makes the whole thing even more impressive. Congrats to the whole team.
What booth they in?
outside central hall where all of the giant trucks are parked.
I also saw it in person, as well as his builds the prior 3 years. They're all amazing from 15ft away. I wish for once Chris would finally pay someone to body work and paint a car for SEMA. I follow this channel mainly for his creativity and build ideas, which are definitely his stengths but I would love to see a polished finished product. When it comes to body work and paint, he must not have the skill or attention to detail required. I don't think it's a time issue either, because even after SEMA he never shows a polished project...which is all fine, but just pay someone to see the project through to 100 completion. He would have a insane collection if he did.
@@TwinVisioned you have to consider that making cars for the tv show is the business.
** PLEASE READ CHRIS**
As a car audio installer of 20 plus years I'll give you my opinion on what to do with the stereo. Go with a nice in dash unit that is Maestro RR2 compatible. You can buy the entire units that are vehicle specific plug and play.
The Maestro RR2 has ODB2 functionality. It gives you the ability to fully map your SWC's and gives aux long press inputs on each SWC button. So each steering wheel button can be used as a toggle switch for anything you want. For example power windows in the future so you dont have to put buttons on the door cards. You van map the Vol +/- long press for the drivers and CH +/- long press for the passenger.
You also have tons of different downloadable fully functional gauges displayed on the unit. Any gauges you eant. Oil pressure, coolant temp, voltage, fuel, RMM ect. There's even a lap timer and drag timer you can download. You can also get warning lights and read and clear CEL's on the unit as well as full on screen climate controls, Door, trunk and hood adjar warnings, TPMS information ect.
You can also buy the "Tesla" style vertical units that completely eliminate all physical climate control buttons giving the dash a large all screen look. The Meastro system is loaded with tons of other features aswell. You won't be disappointed. They are well worth the money.
If you don't want to spend the money on that and still want to go budget go with a brand called Atoto. Make sure you go with an android bases OS and not the Linux version. They all are Android auto and Carplay compatible but ensure you get the one with the actual android OS. Then it works like any android tablet with full playstore access. If you go with the Linux based system it runs on a generic OS and all apps are just what comes pre-installed. Very limited functionality on the linux units. Atoto units are built with the same chips as any high dollar unit and function just the same. They all use the same displays and all. Your just not paying big bucks for the name brand. I was blown away at the quality and crispy and snappy operation for the price. Once I looked at the specs I understood why. They can run upto $500 to $800 but that's equivalent to a $1500 to $2000 dolllar name brand unit like Kenwood.
The top of the line Atoto also supports a dual sim cards aswell. One is 5G internet only and one is GSM and supports 4g and 5G cellphone data. So the vehicle can have its own phone munger and cellular data with Hotspot as your plan allows. Or you can get the same Sim card they use for the wifi Hotspots and use in the other slot.
I've done both. The cell phone Sim card works fine now that carriers have moved to 5G for cellphones.
Those $99 to $199 units are horrible Chinese knockoffs with horrible chips , fitment and build quality.
Hope this helps
The stripes were ABSOLUTELY what it needed to finish the look, excellent choice! You could do the lower body stripes like a Shelby, but maybe just omit the "GT 500" lettering. Or maybe do something clever like "GTS550"!
I am happy that you finally finished enough a SEMA build that you drove it there. But.. what happened to the Burntacan and the Jumpacan? 😭
I love how off the tracking is on the car 😂 that steering wheel is wonky as hell but props to you for making this all happen!!
Needs an alignment for sure
I noticed that, too!
It baddddddd
just shows it is an OG 67
at 11:02 you can also see orange lights on the dash. - one lights is the auto line following stuff. I cant guess what the other one is.
23:23: blinking engine light and tire pressure light. also open trunk and open doors lights on the center dash.
Should put a hidden cam on the car would love to hear people's reactions
Yes Chris I think you should really put a hidden camera on the car
I 2nd this, would love to see peoples reaction when they realize it is a body swap! even something like a gopro on the side view mirror.
360 cam in the center console, so you see peoples faces when they look inside
Driving a show car to a car show isn't something you see very often these days, more especially a Sema build. 😂👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿🤝🏿
Car looks Mint. Very much in love. 👌🏿✌🏿🇿🇦
Can't believe how nice the car looks
Indeed. The racing stripes were the final touch. Chef's kiss.
I appreciate the idea of the build, but the fact that it was extremely rushed is very apparent. The driver's door body line going in tho the fender looks really wonky, and the interior fit and finish leaves much to be desired. Again, I know this was build in a short window of time, but it probably could've come out much better with even a few more weeks of time and care. I know that's not what the algorithm wants though. Also, was a little disappointed to not see Kyle and Oscar there after putting in some serious hours.
I'm usually not a fan of black cars, but you can tell this one was built with black in mind. It fits perfectly on this build.
@@jrathsalmost all of it is wonky. Credit where credit is due though, this is the best iteration of the body swaps they've done over the years. Let's just hope he still works on getting this car perfect post SEMA and it doesn't just rot on the lift in the corner of the shop
Wheels could be better
Great Job. You and the team have totally surpassed ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ Your Tribute is proudly being represented with the Old School DNA of Carroll Shelby. …. Awesome Build. Carroll Shelby would be proud.
B is For Shelby inspired
2:08 Look at that amazing fit and finish of the window and seal over Chris's left shoulder. lol No wonder there is road noise. That's a SEMA car for you. 🤣🤣
I 100% think you should road trip every build!! Not on a crunched timline like this, but take it on an adventure with Oscar in the recovery truck!!
Turned out amazing. That stripe was really the thing that put it over the top.
Here nice and early, nice work Chris, I’ve been watching since rear quarter on the brz in the backyard, how far you’ve come. You’ve built an amazing team, a loyal following who will literally watch ANYTHING you do (b is for boat, floating bmw,) and some amazing builds. Oh and you beat cancer while you were at it. Hats off to you man, living the dream and allowing us to come along for the ride. ❤
Very impressive, not to many people drive 1200 miles to SEMA. Congratulations much respect 🫡 from Eugene.
No matter what happens that I one amazing looking car and knowing what it’s got under all those great body panels makes it so much better
While Chris was talking about the short circuit & needing the heater I couldn't help but notice it might be a bit warmer if the door seals & window was fitting better 🤣
Shelby for the win he would be proud! Congrats to everyone involved it takes a village to pull off what your team did!.
Stripes R Killer really makes that car stand out. I can't believe you drove it 1200 miles good deal it is road-worthy. You should win your class just for effort.
So glad you added the Stripes the car looked a bit flat before
Chris, Oscar and Kyle did a great job! Awesome build and it was really fun seeing you drive through the high country in the eastern part of the PNW. Can't wait to see what's next!
I'm so happy to see this car completed! Ever since the first body swap build, I've wanted to see you complete the fastback! The stripes look amazing. It really ties the entire build together.
One of my favorite builds and I'm glad he can say Eleanor in the video and not have to worry
The racing stripes were absolutely needed they really complete the look of the car
PROUD of you Chris!!!! Great job with Oscar and loved the roadtrip w/Chelsea.
Enjoy Disney mate!!!!
i am stoked that you finally have this car (in a newer version even) in the garage and completed.
It's crazy that in only 11 short months you will start next year's SEMA build.
Cool seeing Freddy (Tavarish) in this video! So awesome you made it to Sema with this car!! Respect!
PROUD of you Chris!!!! Great job with Oscar and loved the road trip w/Chelsea.
Enjoy Disney mate!!!!
I congratulate your channel team more than anyone else out there. Fantastic job!
Funny how it sits quietly like just another 67'.....when it is far from that; job super well done! Say hello to Mickey & Minnie!
Stripes did it justice. Looks great. And for a 1200 mile road trip shake down get a little hood pin dinger not bad at all ! Great work guys!
As a trucker, I take this route all the time. I took this route just last week. And yes the road sucks!
Great outcome. Handshakes to all the guys that worked their butts off to get this car to SEMA. Congratulations to you all. 🤟
This is my favorite build so far. Well done everyone! I love all the projects, can't wait for the next one!!
I was so mad when you had to take your Mustang videos out and they snatched your build. This is payback! Big time! Awesome car, congrats Chris!
2:07 he talks about wind noise and you can see the window separating from the weather stripping lol. Found it
Those stripes make it! Car looks great, awesome job.
I thought bronze stripes would be dope before I saw the silver ones. So dope! Incredible build Chris!
Yes! More driving vids PLEASE!
So it's kinda fun watching you drive and recognizing where you are due to being in the PNW. But really if you think Idaho roads are bad, you should come to Spokane and experience our horrible roads
5:35 Chris casually driving around the world to the left. :-)
Looks great. Not much of a racing stripes person, but I agree it was a great extra touch, and they look great as well. Well done B is for build team!
Wow, that alignment FTW! But seriously, it's a great build❤
Always epic! Wrap guy to the rescue!! The stripes set it off!!!!!
I love how you say "put the hammer down and get there" then proceed to show us in car footage of every vehicle known to man overtaking you. That's nice man, live life at your own pace! 😂
Stripes made it so much better. Looks awesome!
Great job. Saw it yesterday in person, looks great and you definitely made the right choice in wheels!
It makes this build 100% more cool that you actually drove it to the show. I cannot stand vehicles that get trailered to a car event.
This looks the business and it is precisely how i'd build a Mustang if I ever bought one.
I agree 100% with the stripes. Try to match the wheels completely. I also think all the chrome should be the exact same color as the wheels. That would look amazing.
Congratulations on getting it all done in time. Looks amazing!
God, it looks great!
Congratulations!
and you with tavarish is such a nice moment...would love to see you two work together
Thanks for bringing the car to SEMA so I could see it!! :-) Great car! You really needed a small sign at the front telling everyone what it is. I must have told a dozen people that were looking at the car that it's a 2019 with a custom '67 steel body welded on. That started discussions on how little was left of the '19 to turn it into a '67. 3D printed front bumper turned into fiberglass, etc. etc. Fun times! All the comments I heard were positive!!
Looks great!!! Love the racing stripes!
Looks awesome guys!
Car’s got a ‘if bandit were a ford’ vibe. I like it.
Greeting. When I saw that car in the movie "Gone in 60 seconds" as a child, I was simply amazed. Unfortunately, there is no such car here, and I can only see it in pictures and videos. Great job, but also the car, I like it. Greetings from Croatia 🇭🇷
Love the road trip! Love the stang too!
You guys absolutely killed it on this one!
Those stripes really brought the car to life.
I walked by it, and the fuel door caught my eye. Then I realized it was your car. Looks really good in person. Great job
Congrats what an awesome build great job!
Awesome car and awesome person you are!! Congrats are in order!
Your route will take you thru Ely Nevada. In May and September, there is an open road race called the Silver State Classic Challenge. They shut down 90 miles of hwy 318 and run the race on that. It is a great time. We go down for both races from Olympia to Ely. Takes us 2 days.
Cabbage is a tricky bastard this time of year. Not shocked there is already snow. Fun route for the road trip!
The wheels were such a good choice
Stripes were a great addition- any thoughts on doing a small red pinstripe on the outside of each stipe- similar to the modern GT350R’s? Would add that chef’s kiss to what is a beautiful build. Great work BifB Crew!
I saw a SEMA walk through and I saw this sick Mustang and I was like wait is the B is for build? I was like no he didn’t have stripes. I then looked at the wheels and I was like nah that’s it. Looked great in that 3rd party video!
Optima's super good advertising giving every car a free battery... everyone's gonna see Optima in all the builds now. Class A marketing! Lol 🤙🏻
Ayyy you put the Shelby ghost stripes on it! Whether that was the plan before I suggested it or not I'm taking credit for it 😂
Dude. I really don't mean to be mean, please don't take it like I am. This is NOT a SEMA quality car. I can appreciate the effort, but people are finishing their cars, doing them right. This just isn't a good enough build to be allowed in. I'm sorry.
I was thinking the same, the finish is absolutely horrendous, just thrown together with absolutely zero care or attention to detail.
Yeah, i totally agree. The build is awesome, it's a brilliant job on the body swap, but the finish, wheels and paintwork could be better
The wheels are 100% the right choice. I am so disappointed that I won't be there this year to see the car.
Looks great and even better with the racing stripes, But I think it needs the spot lights in the bumper opening personally to make it look 100% perfect.
Chris, I love you for driving right and passing left
Glad you made it there safely. You definitely gave it the ultimate road test.
This car gets me so emotional 😍, I wish I could hug it for days ♥
This might be the nicest build for a while - and actually finished and road worthy 🤩
27 mpg; that's great!! I had a '67 Mustang I bought used in 1970 and it never got better than 14 mpg out of a little stock 289 engine... Congratulations on getting to SEMA with little problems... Good Luck!! (and say "HI"to Mickey for me at Disneyland!!!
Who knew that black hides the body lines 🤣 Stripes look amazing. You drove it there dude - that's what matters. Way better than a car that looks perfect and arrived on a truck but with no drive shaft
I follow the channel for YEARS. I've been through that time when you lost the car and it was so sad. Now I feel like something is complete in my life and I can move on hahahaha car looks incredible congratz!!
The impossible made possible by Chris, Oscar and Kyle. Who would have thought than in 5 weeks this transformation could have happened. An extra 2 weeks in the build would have been less stressful. Stripes have done the build justice. Well done you guys.
Chris... For an insane person that doesn't like to sleep, you actually built a pretty nice car, and road tripped that thing 1200 miles...
Impressive...
Fix that twisted shoulder belt...
Chris, you are my hero as soon as you popped the Guinness!!!
Chris you have done something that I haven't seen anyone else do! Not only did you body swap an old style body to a new modern Mustang chassis. But you were able to drive it 1200 miles that is epic! I am looking forward to more videos on this build! Well done man!
pretty bold move to embark in a long trip with a build so fresh out of the shop, hat down to that...
best car builders on TV/CZcams by far, been following your builds since COVID,I'm in the UK and love the Shelby tribute car R69 build and jumpican builds. absolutely brilliant
This was a fun video! I enjoy being a 4+ year member and longer subscriber! Keep the creative, crazy, but functional build content coming. I wish that boat could've made it to SEMA, too!
When you mentioned racing stripes my head went "I don't know....." but the colour you chose was ace and set it off as well as your decision not to do the back panel. Cracking build guys, possibly even the best so far.........
You and Freddie were the first Automotive You-Tubers I started watching five or six years ago. Good to see you guys on top and still helping each other.
No one might say it but THANK YOU for riding on the right side for others to pass.
this reminds me of when i moved to pdx in october 2021, i was visiting a friend in omaha on the way and forgot to check the weather the night before. the passes on i80 through wyoming had closed overnight because of snow. i also didnt know at the time that the summer tires on my ttrs were incredibly worn on the rear tires (they were shitty OE spec pirellis). luckily it was sunny enough to melt them off and not run into any closures by the time i got there.
also 100% great choice to add the racing stripes.
B is for Baby! I’m calling it early! Dad life is you bro!
Judging by that steering wheel you got balls of steel brother.
You should put silver racing stripes on it. That would look awesome as hell!
Chelsie is amazing man. Such a great team player
Dude.. hats off to b is for build crew ( including Chelsea ). Chris, love the videos, man. Each upload got me on edge like "damn, they did all that." Thank you for what yall do. 🤙
Holy crap those stripes are soooo sick! That's what it needed! Bitchin!
props to you for driving the car you built to sema thats how it should be if you want to represent any company. or brand
Those stripes are an amazing touch!!! Glad you made it after a hello of a push to the end!!!!
This one was a win for sure..... B is for Win!
I gotta say I'm jealous you driving 1000 miles in a car you just built is absolutely awesome great work love your channel
