    crowley’s “make it rain. when they’re trying to hide out from the rain, they’ll talk, stare into each other’s eyes and fall in love” plan sounds awfully familiar. ***flashbacks to season 1 when aziraphale and crowley talked in eden and aziraphale used his wing to shield crowley from the first ever rain*** i wonder why crowley would think this is such a sure fire way to get someone to fall in love 🤔

    Actually the Angel moniker started out as him legit calling him what he is. The same thing as it would be if aziraphale referred to Crowley as Demon. And over the years of friendship and close association, this turned into a term of endearment. Like bade or darling.

      I think that, together, they're God. Literally. I anticipate that Aziraphale and Crowley are God, who has somehow been split in two by Metatron as part of a power grab on his part (maybe helped by some other demons/angels) and they will be reunited and fused back into one by the end of season 3. I think that's why God hasn't been heard from for millennia.

    Okay, I know people are gonna be mad at me and I'll probably be disowned from this fandom but I just really need to get this off my chest and I'd rather do it here than on Tumblr. I do really like this show, I think the first season was phenomenal and that the actors are so good and make the show so fun but oh my god the second season was just... kinda bad.
    I loved a bunch of the stuff in it. Crowley and Aziraphale interacting will always be S tier material and Jim was great and so was Muriel and the Ineffable Wives too. My main issue is with the plot and the pacing. It is so slow and so boring and all of the flashback sequences go on for too long and include so much filler that could so easily have been cut down. Also, they fumbled the Gabriel mystery so hard. I was actually intrigued by it for the first couple episodes but they never added enough clues and elements to make it interesting and they spent more time having Aziraphale and Crowley arguing about the car than they did actually exploring the "mystery". And said "mystery" was wrapped up in such an easy way so randomly with virtually no build up to the way it gets resolved that it feels like a punch in the face.
    And virtually none of the threats are taken seriously. Shaz is a joke, Beelzebub hardly does anything, even the threat of erasure from the Book of Life is only brought up like 3 times. The plot is so messy and random, it honestly feels like Neil Gaiman had a decent, short little story that they had to pad out in the writers room because they were given too many episodes by Amazon and couldn't argue for less. And that's not getting into how disappointing the "climactic final fight" is and how ridiculous some parts of it were. The idea of Nazi zombies trying to find evidence of Crowley and Aziraphale working together is so fucking stupid that I wanted to skip that entire fucking section of that episode. The whole season feels like it could have been a miniseries or a TV movie that's like 2 or 3 hours long, not 6.
    And again, I loved the first season and really enjoyed parts of the second one, but Good Omens 2 is just honestly kinda bad. Directionless and padded for time and ultimately not that interesting. I'm really hoping season 3 is better.

    • @letolethe3344
      @letolethe3344 Před 5 měsíci

      Well, your certainly entitled to your opinion. I had my doubts at the beginning too, it was so different from season 1. But I now delight in the absolutely lovely comedy and hilarity of Jim, the Nazi Zombies (which I love because they parody the overdone zombie motif done EVERYWHERE), the moronic-ness of demons who keep blundering into the summoning circle and are fought off by fire extinguishers and encyclopedias, the flashbacks that show the character development (and lack thereof) of sweet Aziraphale, setting up the final scene....it's okay that you didn't like it, even if you are very, very wrong, which you are.
