    I like this format. There’s some great stories in the battletomes. I’m into Flesh-eater Courts at the moment and have been re-reading their book. There’s a little story called Star-Crossed where even a Slann Starmaster gets infected by the madness of the FEC and this bleeds into the seraphon he conjures up. I think this would be a good story hook for the 2+ Tough treatment. 👍🏻

    I started painting my First nurgle army two weeks ago. Listening to your Lore while painting is incredibly helpful.
    I already listened to the other Lore from you three Times so getting new stuff is Just great.
    I Like the Format a lot.

    Love it! I just started Dark Harvest by Josh Reynolds and it’s all set just outside Greywater Fastness and it leans heavily on that Sylvaneth grudge plot. It’s so good!

    Doug this was an acadamic achievement of theory, research, and narrative explanation. You just discovered a timeless piece of AoS that can be re-created and played over again without actually selling a box-set. I don't think people realize the value you bring to the table amidst a game beset by salt mines and industry treadmills. If games workshop understood the potential your realizing, people would not complain about new battletomes every three years (or whatever), but embrace realeases (more frequently) because they reveal new matched play possibities regardless of core rule set, battleplans, or warscrolls.

    Talking about how you would re-create these stories on the tabletop? I’m on board with that!

    I like it. Cities has so much fuel for this format. Additionally, maybe something from the new Lumineth book? Just to get some more content for the new army. Maybe on the story of the ambassador to Ulgu?

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  Před 4 lety +1

      Agree on the Cities point! As for Lumineth, I absolutely intend to get to them! I wanted to try a rotation between Grand Alliances (pick a story from Destruction, then one from Chaos etc). So I'll definitly come around to exploring the lumineth :)

    I like this format, the little stories that add flavour to factions are always fun.
    And for more stories going forward, I raise Baergut Vosjarl of the Beastclaw Raiders. His story is both an awesome legend and an explanation for the origin of the Everwinter.
    It is in the First edition battletome, but sadly he gets reduced to a footnote for the svard and this everwinter origin just kinda gets buried under "gorkamorka did it" in the second edition.

    I know that the Nurgle forces attempts to crush the Living City when it was being grown was a big deal. I don't know how many Battletomes it is in, but it is tangentially talked about in the Hollowed Knights novel Plague Garden. So that could be a good one to do.

    Yeah I’m almost positive they are the same invasion in both books as the massive invasion in COS pretty accurately describes the one in MON more or less, and it fits the description of the events that were mentioned in the Season of War release campaign that first mentioned Greywater Fastness. And I think it was mentioned somewhere after that most Nurgle forces learned to not assault the city directly after the devastating losses they suffered. But yeah stuff like this really brings up the questions, did they do the right thing? I mean did they really have a choice?

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  Před 4 lety +1

    I like to think that a defining feature of men from Greywater is deafness. Anyone who was witness to enough rocket and cannon firepower to level a forest is going to be hard of hearing!

    No matter what grey water would be a wasteland or nurgles garden so the elves are in the wrong here with being mad about the woods that wouldn’t be there anyway and nurgle would have spread further

    My two cents on the video format: Read more into the words.
    The battle ‘develops’ and nor ‘occurs’ or ‘breaks out’. Meaning the battle starts small and grows to encompass everything

    I like it. Need more Tzeentch tho.
    Besides you going deeper into lore you've covered and going back and adding this and that and disecting the lore more helps me write lore. Cause I love deep lore. And I need even the littlest of facts to write lore cause I want it to fit seamlessly into the world. From the terrain to the army itself. I dont like to make my own terrain cause if they release maps and other art I like it to fit into what GW puts out. So you diving deeper into any lore gets my gears going and my main army is Tzeentch so understanding Chaos and trying to even understand Tzeentch (if you even can call it that) helps me. And I know I'm not alone out there probably a few people just like me. So thank you and any lore videos you do I support 100%
