Excellent. This is how this song is supposed to be performed. Shane was just the one who taught people how to do it... RIP, Shane and thank you for the all gifts you gave us!
I feel the ambiance rolling from my CZcams screen into my living room and a smile appears on my face watching and hearing these young people having fun.
I was gonna say isn't it great everybody living in the moment and not staring at screens........................ then realised i wouldn't be watching this unless YOU were recording................ so thank you.
This is what it's all about. A bunch of Irish in a saloon in Dublin singing an old classic Shane McGowan Pogues song. God bless ya one and all. From NYC.
@@jimmyboynottknown7713 Yes, I know. Thanks anyway jimmyboy nottknown. I like to be accurate. Many of my Irish friends have told me. But you know, I'm from the USA, how am I to know such detail not ever being in that part of the world? Especially when so many people here (not Italian) ask for chicken/veal/eggplant parm (parmigiana) but no one uses that cheese, restaurants/pizza parlors use mozzarella. Parmigiana is expensive. Few people know that. I do know a koala isn't a bear. But pub...yes, now I will know forever. I don't want to correct it because then readers won't know what people like you are referring to. And rightfully so.
My mother is Irish her family come from bushe mills now all in Belfast I still get blown away when I’m a Irish pub nothing but love and music, plus my favourite band of all time , god bless you crazy Irish x
this is probably my favorite rendition of this song ... the camera angle, the flute guy, the way you can pay attention to any person and see a whole story unfold, the way the girls are trying to sing louder than the boys. absolutely beautiful, perfection. hits especially hard now that shane has passed. in retrospect, it's the perfect tribute to him -- just a bunch of people having a good time in a pub, exactly how he would have wanted people to experience his music. RIP
Wish I could have been there. Such a good mood. Lovely people and very good musicians.....that's just the place I want to be with a Guinness together with all you lovely Irish people
Love this, the craic is mighty no matter where you go in Ireland once a lad brings the guitar fiddle or tin whistle out it’s all about enjoying the music and the craic Erin go bragh 🇮🇪
I am English myself but I have all my cousins in Ireland and a day after my Granny's funeral. I went into one of the locals and it was like 3 or 4 guys just sat in the corner doing this. Playing their instruments and it was just great to see. You don't get it in England.
Brilliant video captures the essence of the greatest Christmas song and the love and passion the irish have for it made me wish I was there sharing the Craic.
When anyone asks why I love Ireland so much I will show them this video. As someone already said it really is what it's all about. Love from Italy 🇮🇹 ❤🇮🇪
I'm a big Shane fan, so many great songs, beautiful melodies, exquisite lyrics. I'm English but currently living in the USA, if you're in a bar in Illinois they'll be more likely to sing some Foreigner/Boston/Bin Jovi bollox, they have zero taste around these parts, nice people, but starved of culture🤮God Bless the Irish ☘️🇮🇪❤️

The great thing about Fairytale of New York is that the worse it's sung, the better it sounds.
God rest his soul. Rest in Peace, Shane. We all love you. What a tribute, the lot of you ❤
This is what we Irish are great at - having the craic in a pub. What an epic song, which has become the best Christmas song ever.
Great people, great song, greetings from Croatia
My favorite Christmas song, for ever. T.A.L
It is indeed. Shane is a great effing songwriter
Except the song was co wrote with Jem Finer a bloke born in Stoke in England
This is my favourite version of this song on CZcams. That one chick and the whistle player make this thing gold. 💯🥇
I feel the ambiance rolling from my CZcams screen into my living room and a smile appears on my face watching and hearing these young people having fun.
Thats the purest version of this song! Just a little sing-a-long at an Irish pub 😊👍

Because the Brits are too stuck up their own arse...And you're welcome anytime for a session...LOL"
