ABOUT PAPADAKIS RACING:
The Papadakis Racing team began drifting in 2004 and is the most winning team in Formula Drift history, earning the 2015 title with driver Fredric Aasbo, as well as backto back championship titles with driver Tanner Foust in 2007 and 2008. The Rockstar Energy Drink / Nexen Tire Toyota Corolla Hatchback is the latest competition build from the Hawthorne, California, based team.
Team owner Stephan Papadakis is a legend of sport compact racing who began building his reputation in the 1990s with the first front-wheel drive, tube-chassis drag car in the U.S. The team earned multiple records and championships in the discipline, turning in elapsed times and trap speeds previously thought unattainable in front-drive drag cars. Papadakis' successes in front-wheel drive were matched by his efforts in rear-wheel drive when he campaigned a Honda Civic that became just the fifth car to join the NHRA's Sport Compact 200 MPH club - Auta a dopravní prostředky
This guy needs our respect. He mounted the entire assembly on the supra, then realized that he hadn’t said goodbye to his audience properly, removed all that stuff and put them on a table just to thank them for watching.
Always. I just wish Steph had special funding just to come up with more YT content! It’s easily one of my top 3 automotive/fabbing channels, but since Steph is so busy and this isn’t a source of income for his operation it doesn’t pay for him to put out much content. It sure makes the content he DOES put up YT GOLD!
Did you know you can edit videos?
@@OTechnology Did you know you can have a sense of humor?
@@TheXeago i genuinely thought you and the others giving a thumbs up were serious lol
@@OTechnology Well that's Poe's law i guess
Hey id love to see more of what goes into designing and making a part like this! Super cool. Thanks for sharing.
I second this
good coffee, solidworks and flow simulation 😉
There was definitely an earlier video where they prototype it and then mill the billet!

Jeez! Your level of perfection, and skill never ceases to amaze me.
This dude is the driving force behind perfection! Keep it up!
It is really satisfying watching something get made by a very knowledgeable perfectionist with a budget that matches the perfectionism.
Love the velocity radius plate for capturing the plenum plate bolts, really great idea!
thats one of those ideas only vast experience would deliver
love this channel so much! tons of knowledge and straight to the point. can you make a video someday on matching up turbo sizes to engine sizes?
Go to Stavtech youtube/facebook page and watch/read up. Engine size is a small part of deciding what turbo to use.
I love every single one of these videos and eagerly await each new one. Which is funny, because I have utterly zero interest in drifting (no offense to anyone, it's just not my thing, sorry) and as a motorcyclist, only a slight interest in cars. These vids and the calm, cool, explanation of the intricacies involved by this professional, keep me totally absorbed and amazed!
I still can’t believe that we are getting “ALL” this information for “FREE” !!!! Love you bro! Your a Gee!!!
FINALLY!!!
wait a minute...
6 MINUTES!? ahh... that's fine I guess...
They really gotta fix their upload schedule
Finally they made a new video
@@lloyd9435 with papadakis CZcams is almost last thing he worries about he has to manage a team build and repair the cars
What was that about?
@@ripcandice2586 He can also have a dedicated videography and editing team to do it. There are plenty out there willing to work for free because they love what they're doing and then get paid by youtube later. It's all about the strategy.
The attention to detail and being able to watch him explain it all as he is working is just amazing! Great job mate love it!
variable plenum size is such a cool feature. You guys are so innovative and its super cool that you are willing to share this kind of stuff!
I have a high German degree in mechanical engineering and always learn something from Papadakis' videos. Never heard of just creating an O-ring as needed but that's brilliant!
Love the design , no welding required and all bolted assembly.
2:13 that was a most satisfying noise, when it just fits so well
Incredible knowledge and engineering. I love your videos and the way you explain things for normal people to understand
Goals all around. Shop goals, engineering goals, engine goals, driving skill goals.
I don't care if the videos are few and far between, the quality is always excellent!
dat knowledge.... just amazing
Thank you for taking the time to put these videos together. I'm sure this de-mystifies the building/manufacturing process and inspires many!
I allready put a like since i know the video is going to be awsome
Haha! Same here man!
Stefan Papdakis, the gift that keeps on giving. Brilliant work every time!
No stops or pauses, video continuously pumps out information. Perfect content.
Papadakis, you are the true definition of Guru. May you live long 💯
Absolutely wonderful as always
Art. The concealed runner bolts are a good example of how much thought these guys put in to these designs. Really really nice engineering.
Loved that bolt securing detail!
Really slick design on varying the volume of the plenum.......can be changed in a matter of minutes to match track conditions. Truly awesome application.......same with the throttle body spacers. Can hardly wait to see this dynoed and raced.
Congrats on the win last event!!!
As always love the thoughtfulness that goes into every part
Absolutely loving every video.
Awesome vid man! Beautiful parts. Cool to see how you work with O rings, too
Your work is art.
Work of art
The way of tuning its awesome. Sick.
Cool assembly! Great design job
Beautifully machined pieces. Thank you for showing us.
Freaking love you guys!
Really kicking butt this season!
Thank you Mr Papadakis for sharing the knowledge ,keep it up !
Love the volume spacer idea and how modular it is. Very well thought out design!
Beautiful work
Love, love, love, this channel. 🤓 So much great content.
so much brilliant work
Hey Stephan! I love your videos. Straight to the point with lots of knowledge. I love how you don’t drag your videos like other CZcamsr. Please keep it up

I get that the video has a 99.5% positive rating... BUT WHO DOWNVOTES THIS?? This is pure innovation, explanation, and execution from an automotive legend!
That's a work of art
Steph, you're an engineering marvel......
Love the idea of the spacers to experiment with size!
Such clear and clever engineering. Interesting about the superglued gaskets 👍
For sure I enjoy it! 😀
Wow, that looks immense, I especially like the spacers for potential larger capacity plenum and the fact it can easily be done so you can test on the dyno
Thanks for the tip on the o-ring cord stock / superglue!
That’s a whole lotta work! You definitely have a creative mind
awesome, you kill it!
that car rips!
Thank you very much for this video. I'm designing and building some plenums right now, and this makes a huge difference. Have never heard of viton cord stock, matching plenum size to the displacement, or many other details.
Amazing, You're (you+your whole team is) awesome at what you do
HELLO FROM GREECE THE BEST TEAM PAPADAKIS RACING!!!!!!!
