- Was about to head to bed while watching Charles stream when I saw he wanted to do a Community race. Quickly fired up the PC and got a slot, and wow what a race. Starting in the midpack in a open lobby community race definitely was crazy - check if I managed to catch up to both Albon and Leclerc :D

Hey Dan. The yellow Aston was me ! It was a great race, the battles were nice. Just sad I got taken out by Albon 2 times haha. I would have ended P2 otherwise, since I was slowed down by Leclerc the entire race. But it was good fun.

So that was you. I watched live and seeing Charles reaction to your pace was funny, as he was pushing to beat Albons time and you passed him. Must be cool to have Lando Norris and Leclerc talk about your pace. If I recall they made a comment saying you weren't using a Suzuki engine and cheated. That's when I went, oh wait, is that Dan Suzuki? Hahaha great stuff mate.
Haha, yeah - that was just an awesome race, glad I managed to sneak in - what are the chances to get a slot and survive all the lap1 carnage and actually catch up to the front :D

@@DK-ki2fh I've purchased logitec g29 before 2 months to see if i would enjoy sim racing before investing into it, and it turns out that i like it, and ive purchased simucube ultimate, racewerk pro hydrolic pedals, fanatec shifter and handbrake, rseat s1 cockpit, next level racing v3 motion platform and also got htc vive pro vr headset, some of the parts arrived but am still waiting for the wheel base and pedals to complete the setup and to try more immersive driving.

Nice race, man. Just one thing: netcode can't fix a bad connection. If a driver has high latency, what can the netcode do about it?
Make the car a ghost for example :-)

11:20 No one can improve the "netcode", it's depending on network latency, can't get faster, so there will always mismatch between local calculated moves and server correction, you see netcode correction in action when there is lag and the local calculations are way off, so called "bungee jumping" or "elastic effect" in multiplayer games.

Bin mit Acc nämlich so langsam am verzweifeln... und dachte Mikroruckler und stottern gehört da einfach dazu.
Heute vormittag hab' ich's doch tatsächlich hingekriegt, dass das Spiel flüssig läuft, jetzt macht mir nur noch der unscharfe Pixelbrei bei Bewegung, Kopfzerbrechen. Sobald man still steht sieht's gut aus.

Seeing this I think when you didn't qualify (mostly on servers) the order should be elo based not server joining.
I think most of the incidents happen because of the big differences in driving skill and pace.

The Issues you are facing with the netcode here is something I always facing when I play Iracing...really frustrating sometimes.
on iracing its a handled a lot better. cars do blink but not jump and twitch from left to right like that. its a lot more smooth. but of course its still a problem. there is only so much the game can do. they have no influence over the connection of the individual drivers. they could be more strict and impose a ping limit or something. but that would hurt participation numbers and make it hard to race against people all over the world.
@@Mtojay I got a lot of bunny hoppers in iracing so no it is not better handled...
@@lordheimdallr if you get a lot of them its either your connection or you live at the end of the world like australia and race out of your timezone so to say.
for me in europe i encounter them absolutely rarely. maybe once every 10 races. and when i do they dont warp around a lot like in this instance. its handled a lot better. without a single doubt.
what i do encounter more often is someone who has a bad connection and blinks. but they absolutely rarely warp around on track like they do in acc. the prediction model in iracing is a lot better. (not perfect of course)
What I prefer on iRacing ... they ghost the cars when netcode is happening. If something weird happens on ACC the car might reappear inside of your car and your're screwed ...

Man... top tier level guys crying for a restart of the race...it's racing, shit happens, get over it and grow up. Seriously, the worst thing about Simracing growing so much is seeing the amount of people that has not fucking clue about racing, and they do not even care for learning how to race in a smart wat, and also those bad attitudes of being constantly crying on the chat. I can understand a brief argument with the anger of the moment between two drivers, that's normal. But staying several minutes crying in the chat claiming for a restar or a Safety Car it's just so annoying. And this trends are on the whole simracing world right now, no matter Iracing, ACC, or any other sim...im really sick of the shit attitudes that most of the people has in simracing from a couple of years to now, both in the track and out of it... And maybe it's unpopular opinion, but at the same time i think streaming and streamers have help this grow up, i think they are being also the cause of this whole problem, the amount of toxic twitch drivers that i'm seeing lately is just stupid...
Ferrari engine is slow like fuck......(it is fact, thanks for confirmation)......and happy overtaking SLOW engine while others cheering the action like Great Move. It is typical of Mercedes and Red Bull.....talking in double standard and everyone believe on it. I love to watch duel like that Ferrari vs Ford, hard racing, battling, duel.....like Gladiator. Not watching car passing and done.
