  • The DT Swiss hubs in FFWD wheels with new EXP ratchet system offer a better engagement and low maintenance. They are compatible with freewheel body's of Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo. When changing the body it's important to switch the red washer. This video shows the steps to take!
    EXP freehub replacement
    - Remove the freehub + endcap by pulling it from the hub shell (no tools required)
    - Remove the red washer from the inside of the freehub
    - Mount the red washer into the new freehub (be aware of the collar on the washer)
    - Slide the new freehub onto the axle. Lock in place with the corresponding endcap
    - Check if the freehub engages correctly.
Older non-EXP freehubs are interchangeable with EXP hubs when the red washer is installed.
Always use corresponding freehubs and endcaps XDR/XDR 11SROAD/11SROAD etc.

No, not for the current microspline body which is for boost hubs.

Hi I didn't have this red washer when I tried to switch from XDR to Shimano. Is it possible? I bought new one today...

The red washer is part of the 'original' body that comes with the wheel and is always part of it. Please note it's only on the DT240 hubs, not the other options.

@@ffwdwheels Yes, I have Ryot 55 with DT Swiss 240 EXP hub. I bought it today with XDR (because there was sale) and was trying to change it to Shimano EXP body, according to this tutorial. But when I disassembly XDR I noticed that this part is missing. I just have started complain process with a shop where I bought it. In worst case I will buy DT Swiss Ratchet 36T spare part which contains this washer because I really would like to keep these wells. It was my dream for a long time... Another case is that if I will have SRAM derailleur probably I will never notice that this is missing...

@@ffwdwheels Yes, it is. And I already told the shop that I would like to keep these wheels but need this washer. Waiting for response.
FFWD wheels are amazing. In second bike I have Tyro model for year now, and that was a reason why I save money for Ryot 55 for my aero bike. I had many carbon wheels in my history, but FFWD quality convinced me to stay with this brand for longer :)
