Any info about spare spokes and if a bike shop mechanic could replace them, or do these wheels need to be sent away for repair?
We keep spares for all our wheels so also carbon spokes. The replacement can be done by experiences shop mechanics. Please note our comments with these wheels; Please note that the nipple squares, visible from the outside of the rim, are only to keep the spoke in a fixed postition during tensioning/truing (with a 3.45mm nipple key). The actual adjustment of the nipple needs to be done from the inside with a HEX5.5 nipple key. The spokes use internal nipples, so for adjusting spokes the tire and tubeless tape need to be removed. Recommended tools for truing and adjusting are; Parktool SW-42 and SW-15. We strongly recommend to only have a skilled and experienced mechanic work on your precious wheels!
I put Raw on my Trek Checkpoint slr to go for a fast ride with my friends. I have had several Fastfoward wheels including the f4r and f6r. The Raws are incredibly beautiful. They are fast while being comfortable. I love them and I agreed with 2 of my friends to buy them to put on their gravel bikes for road riding. I just received my Drift. I changed my Aeolus pro3 V for the Drift and I'm really happy. Thank you Fastfoward for making such a good product.

Hooked and 21mm internal diameter, excellent work guys! They look great too. Very happy with my RAW's that I have been riding for two years now, but will look to the new RAW 55 on my next bike.

Ik kan uit eigen ervaring vertellen dat de service top is. Zoals in het filmpje verteld, hier ook pech gehad van een andere fietser tegen mijn wielen aan. Volgende ochtend om 08:30 bij FFWD in de werkplaats en om 09:00 weer naar buiten met nieuwe spaak en afgesteld wiel 🙂 Helemaal top!

Hey Niek, big fan of FFWD and have been loving my RAW wheelset for the last year! I am an all around rider and have been using Continental GP5000 25mm with tubes, when inflated to 83/85psi they measure 28mm on the wheel. Do you recommend going to 28mm on the RAW with tubes? Will it produce slightly better aero and/or rolling resistance? I know it will be slightly more comfortable.
Hi @hobmarg With 28mm tires you typically have more comfort when riding with lower tire pressure. These benefits become significantly less when riding with inner tubes. Due to the wider rims of RAW (and RYOT) a 25mm tire will be effectively wider already and 28mm is not necessary. If you do consider the wider tires a tubeless setup is highly recommendable!

Hi I didn't have this red washer when I tried to switch from XDR to Shimano. Is it possible? I bought new one today...
The red washer is part of the 'original' body that comes with the wheel and is always part of it. Please note it's only on the DT240 hubs, not the other options.
@@ffwdwheels Yes, I have Ryot 55 with DT Swiss 240 EXP hub. I bought it today with XDR (because there was sale) and was trying to change it to Shimano EXP body, according to this tutorial. But when I disassembly XDR I noticed that this part is missing. I just have started complain process with a shop where I bought it. In worst case I will buy DT Swiss Ratchet 36T spare part which contains this washer because I really would like to keep these wells. It was my dream for a long time... Another case is that if I will have SRAM derailleur probably I will never notice that this is missing...

@@ffwdwheels Yes, it is. And I already told the shop that I would like to keep these wheels but need this washer. Waiting for response. FFWD wheels are amazing. In second bike I have Tyro model for year now, and that was a reason why I save money for Ryot 55 for my aero bike. I had many carbon wheels in my history, but FFWD quality convinced me to stay with this brand for longer :)

Hi Luis, the new TYRO has a 36T ratchet system!
I bought TYRO DARC wheels. I have a question - where I can find manual for the hubs? After mounting I discovered that cassette position (chain line) differs comparing to old wheels. I used the washer to compensate this but now the smallest gear is shallow placed in the hub - I am not sure if this can cause a problem in the future. I would like to recognize where is the problem. Brake disc is exactly in position so I suspect that hub is more narrow.

why new wheels doesnt have DARC technology?
Hi Luis, DARC technology is developed for the best aero performance with 23mm tires. The new rims have been developed for wider tire standards of today and so LAW tech is the result of this.

No, FFWD and DT SWISS hub parts do not work with each other. You need the hubs/brand specific parts
hello I just bought TYRO 2019 wheelset . Do they come with convertion kit to work with quick release lock as well as thru axle ?

Yes, for aerodynamics the results are best with 25mm tires. however for more comfort the 28mm tires fit perfect as well.
