    No matter what song George Harrison is singing, even a heavy Dylan song, joy is spilling out of him and all over the stage and audience. His greatest gift was his pure joy.

      George, with all the trappings of unimaginable fame and riches as a young man...became a "Realised Man" and a searcher of truth by the time he and the fellow Beatles went to India in 67 to see the Maharishi. George was gaining as much enlightenment as possible, by the time he was 26 years old. And he was still quite a human, prone to pitfalls and addictions (like smoking cigarettes and a bout with the "Peruvian Marching Powder" in the early 70's) But he ALWAYS sang from his SOUL...which was pure joy as he grew older.

      @dondamon4669 Před 9 měsíci

      What?? George was never joyful? He lived a depressed, addicted, lonely, bitter, angry , resentful, wasteful, fake life and never had a meaningful loving relationship and that's words from him. He was a confused chap and only have to listen to him talk about buddist life to see he has no idea what he is talking about! 😂 George was a very violent person and very uneducated just look at him in his early days he obviously has mental health problems. And to not be grateful to Paul and John everyday of his life shows how twisted and spoilt his thinking was, imagine Paul and John letting you in the band and even letting you write songs and then bitchy about it!!!! Has to be no 1 spoilt brat world ever!

      Meet George Harrison at JFK Airport, He had just arrived from London and I Walked up to Him and introduced myself and my sister Karen he shook my
      hand and I told him how much I LOVED The BEATLES and then he gave me his Autograph on a piece of paper , he asked me to turn around and used my back to sign it. He said to my sister walk babe and put his around her as they walked through the terminal and signed an
      Autograph for her.Karen was only 15 and I was 14.

    Dylan somehow brought out the very best in George.
    I'd have given anything to hear an entire concert of George performing nothing but Bob songs. His love for the Maestro's work seemed to release the most exhilarating enthusiasm in George, arguably illuminating the reason that the Traveling Wilburies albums are such joyous records to listen to.
    God rest you, George.

      @@FirewindII hmmm... je ne comprends pas.... Do you mean... in your opinion, that the similarities end with appearance? In other words, are you insinuating that Dhani isn't a talented musician, with the propensity to sound almost exactly like his dad, when he sings.!?. The world has labeled Dhani a near clone, of his father. Dhani, however, seems very independent in most respects. He honors George's life & genius talents... He manages the memories & promotes & preserves, securing the future of George Harrison & the iconic Beatles. His responsibility is immense, fueled by demand & a massive sincere love & following and adornment from fans of all ages. Ringo & Paul do same. Every Beatles child, participates. George's friends & confidants promote the love & following. Jeff, Eric, Elton... So many guys support Dhani, & every Beatles promotion. But on his own, Dhani plays & sings beautifully. Hes also very versatile, in that he can sound however he wants. His dads friends have helped & encouraged Dhani. Hes played with allll of the icons. Naturally deloped his talents. He's worked tirelessly & has succeeded on many professional levels. He's carried on his dad's entire story! The Beatles, their family, sibs, steadfast friends, Olivia,.... Everyone from Julian to Stella, even Yoko, Sean, alll children... Alll protect & promote the Beatles, & manage their own successful careers, lives & family. One huge world famous family. All love each other. Yes, Dhani can def sing. He can def play. He is loved by everyone. Hey! & listen to Ringo's new stuff!!! He's awesome! He looks sooo young & sounds great. Listen to Rock Around The Clock, you'll love who plays with him!! Also, the Weight with Robbie... 31 plus musicians play on that recording! Anywho... Merry Christmas! Oh speaking of: Listen to Elton & Ed's brand new Christmas song release! Awesome! You'll like it, I hope! Best of health!

      Note that many times it comes from a person's up-bringing; like in this case: George was raised Catholic by his mom especially - and he loved his Mom. Mrs. Louise Harrison became worried when she red from the papers about his son's interests in Indian culture / Hinduism. And George wrote to her to calm her down: "Don't think this lessens my devotion to the Sacred Heart; if anything, it's strengthened."
      (Sacred Heart is most widely practised Catholic devotions, wherein the heart of Jesus is a symbol of "God's boundless & passionate love for mankind".)

    George loved Bob. In 1970 George paid Bob a visit at his house in upstate New York and they recorded quite a few songs together. (Some of these recordings can be found on CZcams®️.) Around that time Bob wrote the song “If Not for You,” which ended up on the NEW MORNING album. George loved the song and did a gorgeous cover of it on the album ALL THINGS MUST PASS. Not too long after that, George invited Bob to be a part of THE CONCERT FOR BANGLADESH. Then, almost 20 years later, they became bandmates in The Traveling Wilburys. Indeed it was a brotherly bond the two of them shared, one that went way beyond the music. 🎶

      And the lead guitarist for Hall & Oates (along with his good friend, bassist Tom “T-Bone” Wolk, R.I.P.) in their heyday in the late 1970’s thru the mid-1980s, also part of the “House Band” for the Philly portion of Live Aid (who backed up the solo acts, like Mick Jagger and Tina Turner). G.E. has earned all the accolades he’s received and more.
