Updating my guess for contest to add the other pieces: 250 dice, majority crystal blue, 75 of them.
217 dice in that jar. Of which 72 are blue. Also, the entire episode I couldn't help but hear "meth heads" instead of mephits. It made for another great episode.

I did way more math for this then I realized and alot more research.
Doing average of the jar for volume and size, along with the average D20 size, converting measurements.. And 9 years of math neglect.
I'm putting out theres about 200 dice in there.
The average of the 3 main dice colours roughly shown, makes me stipulate black? Will be the more common around 60.

One time I threw in a mephit or two when my players were fighting a dragon for the first time, and the monk spent nearly the whole fight MIA due to the mephit's death burst cause he kept failing the save. It was pretty hilarious

Elemental Adventures are fun. I ran an adventure with my 13th level party to retrieve a Relic in the elemental plane of ice. It's fun to use exotic monsters the typical dm wont think to use.

I feel like at least from a visual perspective not necessarily a thematic one, these guys could certainly go for a visual redesign because they very much strike me as Being too reminiscent of imps for something that's supposed to be completely unrelated. The ICE MEPHIT feels like it would be more at home in Avernus than in the elemental plane of ice, which I feel shouldn't be the case. I guess if we really want to get into the design, it's like the silhouette more than the color..... I've been doing a lot of character design recently, for REASONS......my brain hurts.
p.s. The fact that elementals are malleable to whoever summons them kind of reminds me of a the symbiotes from Spiderman where they start taking on traits from whoever they bind to even when they move on to someone else.
Maybe there are Ice Mephits in Stygia and Cannia? The cold layers of the Nine Hells.

Hey guys. I love what you do. Given the theme for the year, I get why you chose Mephits. Did you intentionally choose to leave out some of the other Mephits (like the Mirror Mephit) because they weren't on theme, or was it a time restraint thing? I know this comes across a bit negative. I promise you, it is not. I'm just curious. Some of the non elemental ones are my favorite.
Mainly a time constraint. There are like 10 plus more subtypes of mephits outside what is presented in the MM. Plus we like to focus on what actually has a stat block for 5e when we can
