When ever it rains i See all the 600hp Cars on Autobahn on their way to nordschleife - they Drive right behind lorries with 80kmh because cup2 tires are nearly undrivable on wet surface

So what would be really nice is a timed lap between the v10 AWD versus RWS in these conditions, but given what it was both cars are excellent and we all have our favourites, probably less depreciation on the Porsche because of its badge, not ability, or build. But it was all down to tyres, GREAT driving by Graham, really love his work... and always follow his reviews... If it was dry it would have been Porsche one, Audi two, it would be interesting to do the test on the same Pirelli for both cars, to see if the Porsche can still pull it off....
Wet laps tell the real, deeper story about their true colors , cuz all the places are not always dry. So da R8 is best on dry and wet. I think the 4WD would be even better.

I agree. GT3 is beautiful. Seems to me that this test should've been done with both cars having the same tires. That would equal the playing field but I still think the R8 would've won this one in these weather conditions. In the dry, GT3 all day long.

The fair test would be with the same tires in the same weather condition. The test on dry with those tires would be as not fair as this one. I would take R8 couse all Porsches looks boring and the same.

Why would they put it on the same tires, you muppet? This is how they come from factory. The GT3 is a track-focused tires with track-ready tires. The Audi is... not that at all. It's differently focused car. Also, regarding the looks. When was the last time you've gone trough the Audi's model lineup? 2002? Because that's the last time their models had any differences between each other. Now they are all the same with this comical grille and boring everything...

I don't really see the point comparing these two. VW benefits whichever car is more successful. At this point both brands have become vapid marketing exercises. I'm going to stick with an Aston, even though it's probably slower, because at least I know what I'm getting.
I didn't say that. I said they benefit regardless of which model sells better, because they are the parent company, and at the end of the day, these cars have only really been sold to make money. It's the same with any brand from the VW or Fiat groups, which is why I don't think you should buy from them. They aren't really doing it for the legacy anymore.

It's what the Porsche comes with. If they put normal sport tires on it then the gt3 would lose to alot of it's competitors.

The GT3 was on semi slick track tires (Sport Cup 2) while the Audi was on regular summer tires which are a bit better in the wet.
