The best I've done has been 3k over 3 days. after all was said and done, fuel for the skid, fuel for the truck, and tow bill I ended up with a profit of around 2350. If folks can get 1500 a day on profit then we are all in the wrong business.......LOL
Bro… my target number per day for RANDALL’s pocket… is $500. That gives me a minimum of $10,000 a month to live my ENJOYABLE QUALITY OF LIFE with my family 🤜❤️🤛
That’s where I’m at. 1500 a day mowing is kinda wild. I’d like to see the setup. Must have a ton of HOA’s. Landscaping or dirt work I can see it on am overage but not mowing.
In my personal opinion the first thing all businesses owners should do is keep your living expenses low so you can invest more into your business. Thank you Ray for getting me in the mindset to only buy what is tax deductible. Your math is a little extreme by adding your numbers to 25 days a month working, so as a part timer you are working 6 days a week 4 weeks out of the month. 500 dollars a day per employee is good ROI. In my area we call that a double up at least. I agree with Eddie take the diesel comments out, I love my diesel, what’s your MPGS with your trailer connected? Lol!!!!! Long time viewer continue to keep it real. ✌️
Amen Ray everybody has different expenses. I make between 3k and 4k hell sometimes 5k a month. But Everything i own is paid for, only pay utilities and insurance. And i work 3 days a week home by lunch.
I have done around $800 a few years back. It was 9am til 730 pm on a route in a very wealthy area that a company had put together over 30 years . im no slouch on the yards either.
Dude smoking that really good stuff. I've made $1500 in 6 hours of powerwashing and painting a deck, but that's 2 hours of powerwashing one day and then 4 hours painting/staining. But 200 of that was paint and supplies. And i ended up taking three trips there total with the initial estimate. So you can add another 2 hours drive time. So really it's 8 hours for 1300. -50 gas, so 1250. I ve made 3500 on multiple tree jobs, but they were multiple day jobs for just me.
$1500 for an 8 hour day with one guy and one truck is absolutely crazy. I guess maybe if you were cutting grass in like New York City you could do that lol. The best day I’ve ever had for solo mowing was around $1100 but it took like 12 hours lol. I’ve done $1600 in one day with me and another guy but I think I worked closer to 13 hours. It’s definitely not sustainable! A good day solo for me is about $700-$800 and with another guy about $1000-$1300. Try to be done in less than 10 hours for sure.
O ‘ Boy needs to put that pipe down. 😂. Everyone’s expenses is different. Only thing that really matters is that you have more money coming in than you have going out. Sometimes common sense ain’t all that common. 👊🏼😀
Actually at $80 - $90 an hour you are profitable! At least I would be for solo guy with a truck. So at $80 an hour with a 6 hour day $480 - $600 is normal.
I’ve said it here before that I made a lot of money in this industry. But if I could consistently make that much with each truck and one guy on general lawn care, I’d pay your house off because I’d be a damn billionaire. With 2 guys per truck in the higher end neighborhoods it’s doable. 3 guys you could definitely hit between $1-$2k in the right yards. I couldn’t imagine pushing one guy to pull that in on lawn care. You wouldn’t be able to keep anyone around. Gotta side with ya on this one.
Great video Ray 💪. Max I have done in a day mowing solo is 680.00 but that is mowing from 7am to 5pm. Thats is not taking lunch either just eating from job to job. Landscape yeah I have made right around 1,200.00 But that is all freaking day big project start time 6am to 7pm and thats trimming mulch and everything else. To my point right wrong or indifferent if a business owner has someone working to make 1,500.00 1 man per truck. They are burning them to the ground.
Ray, Eddie mentioned it in a comment I can do that in my spray truck on occasion. That’s mowing spraying , fertilizing all on same truck.. by myself. Definitely not that much mowing only
Can’t be done without something to supplement the mowing and trimming. As a tree climbing arborist I can do it but not everyday. I can make much more on tree removals but it’s very sporadic.
I am a professional business consultant. $1,500 per man generated is absolutely feasible in the lawn care industry. I know many landscape companies who are making $200 per man hour. $200 times 8 hours a day is $1600 a day. You are either charging too little, or not working enough. I specialize in scaling businesses. if you ever plan on scaling your business you need to work harder. I believe your problem is laziness, comfort, and lack of advertising.
Hey Ray Ray Great video 😊 I make around 1 dollar to 300 dallars a day 😊😂😅 one factor is location.... 22:41 the people where your at may pay more per jobs the the people where im at. Just adding my and 2 cents take care Ray Ray and God Bless
Bottom line Ray from what I seen watching your videos is your smart with your money. You put a lot of thought into everything you buy. Every state is different with cost of living so nobody can tell you what you need to make. Plus you don't have a bunch of toys either(jetski, motorcycle, classic car, etc). Everything you own is for the business. Most of these people are all talk. Let them put up video and see why they need to make that much money a day. Probably paying off all the their toys. ✌️ out.
2 solo guys ain't making 3 grand a day without a gun robbing people nonsense Lotta bs on CZcams. That's 750k a year lol. Be no doctors n lawyers if that were true bs. Minus employee salary 75k n say 25k expenses still make 650k 😆
If a solo operator is in a high end neighborhood and he is very established in the area, and can do lawn treatment and spray, I think he could be making between $1,200-1,500 That’s just my opinion, the only way you can reach that is have the capability to spray/fertilize the same time you cut, very doable I think, just cutting lawns?? Ohhhh noooo Not happening
No way in hell..... it seems like you make around $150 to $200 an hour for roughly a 6 hour day thats good money for the area you live in i live in maryland around the DC area the price of living in this area sucks but the area you live in is country and thats good money 😂😂😂 nice video ray-ray
I dont see $1500 a day with 1 guy. My guys work 10 hr days and they'll average $12 and $1300 a day some days $16 and $1700 depending what odd jobs they do. I have 2 guys in a truck. I man will do good to make $700 a day .
One thing I see you do that I wouldn't is have that other truck with only 1 guy in it. To me it's a waste of money to have that truck on the road when he could be riding with you. That's just me though.
G'day Ray. As you know I'm a solo operator. I am at $450-700 /day gross during the season. Less over the winter. So if you said around $500.00 net per day that would be pretty close. Cheers Mate. 👊💯😎.....🦘
I would love to make $500 per day, but that’s coming from a part time Chuck

Biggest variable is not pricing your self out of your own work.
Try charging $200 an hour per man where I’m at and you might as well stay home.
I charge bout 80 per man hr if I do it by the hr on reg labor
@@rayrayslawnlandscape2008
We are at $60 per man hour for lawn work
$80 for landscaping, $100 for tree work and $140 for hazardous treework

@@rayrayslawnlandscape2008 very true Ray!! Some days it might be $150 an hour some days not. But on average $80-$90 for one guy is not a bad gig!!
