The Design of this is Hard Floor Nozzle is really great! I Like it how it works, sucks in everything, from small to larger debris. And its front part is turnable to better grab the dirt in different situations, great feature! As you say always use original bags, its worth the money! They cost a little more but also last much longer, and filtering performance is superior! I need approx. 2 filterbags per year for our VT300 Vacuum! And even when I replace it, they still have capacity!!! I only replace them because yes after some time they smell a, but that is a problem which all bagged vacuums! One Bag cost approx. 3,80€ so even replacing them more than 2 times a year is worth the money considering also the price of the cleaner! You should consider get yourself the VB100 battery powered Vorwerk Cleaner. This year also a new attachment for use with the VB100 for cleaning/wiping hard floors has been released in germany and will be available in Austria in fall 2020. So this vacuum will be able to clean dry dust an wet floor wiping in one single move and all battery powered, a great feature! I highly awaiting this! Unfortunately the price is really very high approx. over 1k € with the hard floor wiping nozzle and ther powered turbo brush.
It hard floor capabilities are amazing. I love this vacuum. It is amazing how something as alternative bags could hurt your vacuum. Still a wonderful video 👍👍

This vacuum has one seriously good hard floor performance and maneuverability, but cheap bags let it down. Maybe flour was too much.
