I feel like disappearing on his own is not even a viable option. I think people want to believe that, but who disappears on their own purposely without a trace when intoxicated at 2am? I think Brian left the bar through the back door. A lot has been made about this exit when in reality about 30 people exited through this back door that night. The construction zone was also not some elaborate thing. It was a small hole that if someone fell in they would be easily seen and could easily exit on their own. It was also throughly searched by the police with dogs. His trace was not there. His scent was traced across the gateway complex to a Wendy’s. I think something happened there, whether he was picked up by someone or something. I do think Clint knows more than he says. He is key to solving Brian’s disappearance.

The main creator on this podcast episode does such a great job and always puts 150% into every episode. With that said this panel of co hosts seem very uninterested and in my opinion that is very rude to do to the host. They were not even keeping up whenever you would ask them something they didn’t seem to have a clue. Also anyway you could do a series with satanic ritual abuse and mk ultra survivors?!? There are so many coming out and they want to share their testimonies which I feel like the world is ready for and NEEDS to hear. I loved the episode you did on satanic panic and I feel as though you would be great at interviewing these brave souls. Thank you!!!

What if Clint was a facilitator assisting in Brian's starting a new life. Maybe he knew people who knew people and they were connecting with Brian that night.
That would explain Clint's unwillingness to take a polygraph test because it would show that he knew something. And his negative comments about Brian were just a distraction.
It could also explain why Clint disconnected from friends to stop the questions and discussions.
I have to disagree with you on the polygraph. I've never killed anyone. If the police showed up at my house right now asking me to take a polygraph in relation to a murder, I would definitely refuse. From what I understand, polygraph results are not very accurate.

Also, i reckon that if you are secretly planning to start a new life, would you necessarily start the journey DRUNK? It would seem that one would have to be sober and clear in the head to follow a certain plan. Well, that would be logical to me, but who knows, someone like Brian with probably a much higher IQ than me for being a medical student would think otherwise? I dunno..but i would personally not go disappearing on purpose for the rest of my life during a bar hopping night when i know i am going to be drunk.
Right that never made sense 2 me. I guess people could say oh 1 last hoorah but idk you'd think he just do it the next day.
I realize we're throwing any potential loose speculation, but the discussion about selling drugs is sooooo insanely loose. I hate to even give it any level of credibility to make an argument against it, but the vast majority of the time the drug buying and drug taking occurs earlier in the night... of course there's exception, but there's absolutely no justification for that theory even as a long shot hunch and it doesn't mean anything... I realize it does for those who have a DARE understanding of drugs, but a lot of successful upstanding human beings take drugs and a lot of college students take drugs and they go on to live healthy fruitful lives.
The other theory that's pretty bad that Bruce read on behalf of other people... is Brain falling and dying in the construction zone. That's sooo ridiculous on so many levels. People just love to take any little detail mentioned and over inflate it, but that would require multiple coincidences in unison for that one to work, which is rediculous when there are waaaay more viable theories. Never go with the multi-pronged coincidence as your A option unless all other options are fully expended... one can but one is going to have a painfully bad track record when it comes to mysteries with such bad logic and not understanding odds.
Something to do with those last 2 girls he was talking to. Jealous males/boyfriends at the bar see this and decide to handle this Romeo.
Some questions i think are worthwhile asking, for example, was the expected proposal merely wishful thinking ? ( by his gf) Had he actually mentioned to someone that he was thinking of proposing? Did he feel PRESSURED to propose? If Clint was using drugs, was Brian also, and no-one close to him knew? What was his true relationship with Clint? Did he possibly have other love interests other than his gf? Was something going on at the University where he studied?
Personally, i do not believe in the back door exit to the building site. ( I have a really hard time understanding why a door leading to a building site would be open at hrs when people are in the establishment and drunk?)
If he did not walk out through the front door at closing time or before, then the only other way i "see" him as having exited there is in a big rubbish container from inside the restaurant.
I still suspect that Clint knows an awful lot more about everything in regard to Brian and his life in general. And certainly a lot more about the night he disappeared.
I live in Lima, Ohio, and I am very familiar with this case. Many people in Ohio believe that his friend, Clint, that he was out with that night, is responsible for his disappearance. Clint behaved very strange that night. I do not believe that he killed himself. I think that he died from foul play, either from someone he knew, or from a stranger. That area of Columbus was really not all that safe at night, and if he was alone. someone could have harmed him. Thank you so much for covering this case! Another one that is a very big mystery in Columbus, Ohio, is the disappearance of Tyler Davis. He disappeared from the Easton area on the night of Feb. 23 into Feb. 24, 2019.

I know there isn't any evidence to back this up but since they were going to school to be doctors do you think Clint possibly drugged Brian and he over dosed?
39:19 - I find it notable that the two girls are completely consumed with each other almost as if they could be arguing with one another (both girls use animated hand gestures. Most notably Brain enters into a very intimate close zone with the one girl (or he could just as easily be in between them both but all of his focus is on the girl who is completely in frame and she doesn't respond to him in the slightest). Either she's consumed because she's arguing with the other girl or she wants nothing to do with Brian. The only way I'm getting that close to someone is if it's a girlfriend or if I'm hitting it off with someone and we're about to hook up and perhaps if the person is being rowdy and I don't want a fight to escalate between the two. His body even touches her and he bends his head down towards her. It's possible that as I said that the two girls are arguing and he enters in between the two girls to potentially break them up.. but either way upon him doing this the girl in frame walks away from him and it almost looks like she pushes the other one back in towards the club... not in a violent way persay, but almost as if she doesn't want to be broken up or wants to avoid him getting in her space.
If someone entered my space that close I would really have to be insanely consumed with my discussion with the other person to not even look in the direction of the person who entered my space.
Anyways, apparently the investigation looked into it (or perhaps they're not sharing it with the public)... but everything obviously has to begin with these two since they're possibly the last two who had seen him. And as mentioned here it could be jealous boyfriend as a loose speculation. I'd be surprised if these two didn't have any further information and I wish we/I knew more details about what the vibe was between these three. Was Brain interested in one of them, was she interested in Brain?
It's been a while since I looked into this case, but at the time with all the information I received I remember thinking that the bar may have been covering something up, as if perhaps they had an association if there was a person who did something to Brain.... if I remember correctly there is no video of Brian leaving, which makes me a tad suspicious of the bar potentially covering something up if the bar owner/friend/liability reasons doctored the video so it wouldn't show brain leaving or whatever (don't even rule out the investigators... i tend to have a bias and may overestimate police corruption because I'm aware of how sometimes the thin blue line could run pretty strong when it comes to covering for their own or family tied to the thin blue line). I'd be surprised if Brains disappearance was external to events and people he was in contact with at the bar.
I do like that Bruce brought up the possibility of the video potentially being doctored. Could be the club or it could be the investigators selectively sharing only some of the video, just as a possibility... it's not as uncommon as many would think.
