Hey everyone! I'm so sorry I've been absent all week...this video almost didn't happen.đ€Šââ I was on vacation last week, and I filmed this video on Monday when I got home. For some reason I wanted to film it in front of the windows in my makeup room like I used to (just for a change of scenery) but the lighting was horrible and it just didn't turn out well. So then I had to re-film it on Wednesday and something strange happened with my microphone and it kept cutting in and out. You'll probably notice it in a few places in this video...I had to cut out SO many parts during editing because my mouth was moving but you couldn't hear what I was saying. So it took me the entire week to get this video done but I'm so glad I was able to post something! Next week is my skin cancer surgery (on Tuesday) so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to post. I'll keep you all updated!đđđ
Sending love, positivity and rapid recovery from your surgery on Tuesday - on an unrelated note, those mauve flutter sleeves are giving Renaissance maiden in the best way! đ€
WOW Jen..! Your hair color, your eye makeup, your top, and lip color (don't get me wrong, your entire face is stunning đ) are perfection!! đđ They all go together so beautifully.. it's a perfect look for end of summer/beginning of fall Also, just wanted to give you the MOST well wishes and positive thoughts/ju-ju for next week. You have definitely got this and I'm sure (not to speak for anyone), while we'll all be ready and waiting for your next video, we'd all understand if it didn't come for awhile.. you do what's best for YOU :)
I have learned lately that my foundation looks better without applying setting powder all over my face. I used to struggle with cakey-ness and dryness looking throughout the day, but after hearing you saying that you do not use powder in the entire face, I tried it, and voilĂĄ. Excellent..!! Thank you..!â€đ
Same! I've discovered that just leaving my cheeks unpowered gives me a lovely natural glow (I use a tinted moisturizer instead of foundation, not sure if it matters)! I'm kind of bummed, I do love subtle highlighter & have too many, but when I am working or running errands, it does seem to look better, more youthful, and more polished to leave my skin alone! I definitely powder with the absolute minimum product, but even then, I was dimming my own shine lol! Niacinamide has transformed my skin around the cheeks so I am eager to show off the one smooth part of my face lol ...
I have very dry skin, and I also figured out that I look better without a lot of powder. Especially in the winter when my skin is REALLY dry. Just a little on my nose is enough most of the year. In really hot weather, I do a very light dusting over most of my face, just to help hold my makeup together. But like I said, very light!
Hello Jen. I rarely leave comments but I wanted to say that your look on this video is stunning. This plummy color looks nice on you and eye look but most of all you radiate of kindness and calmness and hapyness. Sorry English is not my first language, I hope I explaned my thoughts correctly. I wish I would have a friend like you with who I could talk makeup for hours. Merci beaucoup, Grazie tanto!
Your English in this comment is just right. I also felt her happiness or excitement radiating beautifully with her makeup look. While it's not as satisfying as having a true friend to share/talk makeup with, Jen does have a group on Facebook that is very active as well as kind, supportive and friendly. I'm sure she's linked it somewhere.
Hey Jen, have you seen the new bronzers from Phytosurgence? đ± They have ROSY SHADES!!! True rosey undertones. I missed the launch and so I am waiting for the restock of the Number 2 or Number 4 rosey shades (havenât made up my mind) but they are gorgeous. Hi Jenn, No apology needed..tech difficulties happen, and you pulled it off! Hope your surgery is relatively easy but take a little time for recovery!!đâ€
I'm sorry about your rough week! Jen, you look absolutely stunning in the color you're wearing and the makeup! That's the first thought I had as I started watching. Praying for a successful surgery and complete recovery. Hugs from rainy Iowa. â€
Thanks for sharing these. Oh the shadow & blush are beautiful!! Prayers for the surgery & for a quick recovery. Take care of you. I'm so, so grateful that you're here with us !
Hi Jen, I am praying that all goes very well during your surgery on Tuesday and that you will have a speedy recovery. I love the Moira liquid eyeshadow. I had been hesitating on getting any because I was not sure about them. Thank you so much for helping me to make up my mind. The blush looks nice too and I will probaby check that out. The sunscreen had the perfect glow under your foundation. I really enjoyed this video and it was very helpful to me. I thank you so very much Jen. Take care and be well.đđđâ€đčđčđșđžđđ
Gorgeous! Your skin and makeup look BEAUTIFUL. Jen you are so thorough in your videos; you give just enough details, visual (swatches) and application. Your research and genuine nature are so refreshing. I love your channel - thereâs a reason you get so many subs & likes! đ€đ
My 2 new gems are the new Doll 10 Doll Skin Genius Serum Foundation with Brush... It is absolutely awesome. The finish is perfect...not too matte but not too shiny . Also the new Juvia's Place cream bronzer is beautiful. Good luck on Tuesday...thoughts and prayers are with you.
Hi Jen, thanks for the video! For anyone else with sensitive skin, please note that I didn't see any fragrance in the Hero Force Shield Superbeam SPF 30. And judging from the ingredients, and as Jen said, it looks like it's moisturizing. However, although Jen didn't smell it, the *Lawless Forget the Filler Satin Cream Lipstick does have fragrance in it. It's menthoxypropanediol, which is a synthetic derivative of menthol. It's pretty far down in the ingredients list, but it probably caused the tingle she mentioned.
@@JenPhelps itâs your genuine, sweet, wholesome personality along with your hard work and showing us things we really want to see that everyone loves about you and your videos.

Hi Jen, great video! You are looking super gorgeous, your skin, hair, and makeup fabulous. I hope all goes well with your surgery, prayers for you and God bless x
My thoughts about this video are that the make up beautifully accented how happy and rested you looked. I very much want to try almost everything, especially the products from Moira! I just this week received my first order ever from Thrive, I needed a true tubing mascara that I could count on and I know how much you love theirs. I look forward to a speed review of the new products you've been using after testing them for a while. Happy weekend everyone, and Jen I'll send positive, healing "vibes" your way this week!
JEN !!! You need to talk about the IRL whipped lip by Makeup Revoluton (in the lightest shade). It's a HOLY GRAIL for pale girls, I've never found a shade light enough for me in liquid lipsticks that's ACTUALLY pink. All light colors are usually neutral or bland â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž I think it's also an awesome color for an ombre lip.
Hi Jen thank you for the tips Iâm going to try that hero sun screen I seen that they have one with the green tint that should be good for redness add the kvd liquid bronzer sounds perfect.
Top tip, if you donât like a mascara wand - you can: Clean a wand you do like and see if it will fit on get component you do like OR snip the wand off the mascara and use the cap to seal it and use a separate wand, clean off the wand of a mascara you do like and keep it with your makeup brushes.
Hi Jen, glad you are back, I love your videos, you always have some really good products and I love your honesty. We donât always get that on You Tube, so thank you for your hard work.đ·
Hey Jen! Thanks for the turn on to a new mineral SPF! Im currently hooked on Australian Gold, with Biss Block Star running a close second, so this one by Hero seems a good substitute for either of those. Love the liquid glistening shadows too! Thanks for the video!
@@JenPhelps You know, usually fragranced makeup or sunscreens bother my face, but I think maybe I've outgrown that sensitivity. I even like L'Oreal lipsticks now!

Hi Jen! Would love a lipstick swatch video of Revlon lipsticks for fall. I feel like Revlon is largely ignored by CZcamsrs these days and their lipsticks used to be so iconic!
I have dry skin in a verrry dry climate and I LOVE oily skin products! They tend to be more pore minimizing, and plenty of dry skin ppl have pores lol, and I really prefer to control my moisturizer routine very specifically. I absolutely need a very hefty occlusive (urea, I love youuuuu) and I like to use oils AND creams, so I prefer a very light sunscreen & tinted moisturizer so that I don't have to compromise on my preferred & rather heavy daytime facial routine (thick cream, 2-4 different oils, plus vit c/alpha arbutin serum). I want to be able to just tuck my sunscreen in between my serum & day cream without noticing it (black girl sunscreen & the surprisingly great sun basics SPF, ie the dollar tree sunscreen, are both very light also).
I bought three of the Moira liquid blushes. You only need a tiny bit. They also stay all day. They are honestly wonderful. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the higher end liquid blushes. Because, I didn't think I'd like them. I love these.

No it is not bad to be sponsored at all! I have said many times in my videos that there is nothing wrong with being sponsored or making money. I don't do it personally because it makes this feel like a job and I would rather be in control of my content. đ
Iâm really surprised that Hero SPF didnât sting your skin after awhile. I used their other Hero Spf in the green tube and it stung my skin sooo badly after about 20 minutes I had to hurry and wash it off. I noticed the orange tube has the same stinging ingredient called Butyloctyl Salicylate. They claim itâs a mineral sunscreen but itâs not completely mineral. Butyloctyl Salicylate is basically part of chemical spfs. And itâs the common ingredient in chemical spfs that makes peopleâs skin sting, burn, and itch. I have to stay far away from Hero sunscreens đź
Have you tried Tula Mineral Magic? I think you would really love it based on your review of the Hero sunscreen. I have dry skin too and itâs a great hydrating mineral sunscreen and great under makeup.
I think this is the best youâve ever looked on video. You look best in muted, cooler colors but tend to wear orangish brownish colors which I donât think are right for you. Personal opinion! đ
