Recently we had the pleasure of meeting up with the iconic duo of Matt Hayes and Mick Brown, for a spot of Pike fishing and filming on the fantastic Sitch Fishery.
Without doubt, both Matt and Mick have been responsible for inspiring thousands of anglers over the last 20+ years, especially with their popular television series, The Great Rod Race, The Greater Rod Race and Wet Nets.
Their love and passion for the sport of angling is still as strong as it ever has been and so is there ability to catch a few fish!

Love these guys,matt and mick are the chaps that inspired me into pike fishing,always set my alarm for total fishing morning's, I've learnt so much from watching these to chaps,and the humor is second to none too,hope to see much more of the dynamic duo, thanks guys!!!!
Wow great to Matt and his dad out again. I was told that they were living in a mobile home next to a lake on Canvey island, doing guiding trips for the adventurers?

Total fishing with matt hayes i cant believe how differently they look. Over 20 years since i last seen them on a screen, nostalgic or what!! I remember matt and mick fishing comp one of every species in a month or week. Just to hear matts voice i picture the gone fishing sign on hes door with the 6 am alarm clock!!!

This brings me back to my childhood and got me serious about fishing
I used to thoroughly enjoy Matt
and Mick on the telly. Really helped with tactics they used for different species.. the banter , l used to chuckle when they had fish n chips in the campervan ...I wish they had another tv show or YT channel now ..

Dynamic duo are back. Put a smile on my face. Remember watching you pair soo many times. I remember one episode i think matt was fishing with strawberries and the locals chucking loaves of bread in. Always great to see Matt & The Duke, Thoroughly enjoyed the great rod race and the greater rod race.. Along with other shows/dvds you guys have done. True inspiration to me when growing up and got me into Carp & Pike Fishing.

Beautiful location, perfect fish, excellent angling, the usual gentle banter, and clowning around, an unexpected swimming lesson, and now a choir. Is there no end to Matt and Mick's talent? Just just last of the summer wine, but with class.

If someone would come up to me and ask why do you fish , I always ask them to watch Matt Hayes and Mick brown and then tell me why wouldn’t you go fishing. I remember watching John Wilson on tele and I know there are monster carp, fishing all stars, but to have Matt and Mick back on the tv would be excellent. The one video you made that sticks in my mind is, when you were fishing the Monument, Mick was asleep under his brolly, you came across tied some line around one of his rods, went back to your swim then you pulled on the line his buzzer went off, he flew out from under his brolly, great, then I think he went one to catch the biggest carp in the lake.Great days they were.Ray.
Great to see the dynamic duo back on the bank and the cameras there too. That Hassan isn’t too bad either. Must have been a pleasure to spend some time with Hassan.
Hassan is a talented bloke. I like his camera style and he makes you feel relaxed. His star will carry on rising, I think.
Great to see these two legends of fishing again. I've still got my dvds of The Great Rod Race and Record Breaking fish as well as some of Mick's piking instructional dvds on Summer piking and boat fishing. Class is permanent. I've missed seeing both of you doing the business Matt and Mick.☺

What a pair of legends I met Matt many years ago now and he signed my top and I’ve still got it never worn, I’ve even moved to Australia since but it had to come
Matt an mick got me into fishing, in my opinion the most dynamic and humble anglers we've yet to see since the great rod race what a series that was plus everything else they produced

Well, you'll always get some. There are some unhappy people out there who no matter what, like to cause misery. But hey, there's a damn sight more of us who don't. We loved filming this stuff and its because of people like you, Mr.B , that we continue to do it. Follow me on YT or FB - its a good community. Quite new to uploading but i am getting there and putting a lot of new content on there.
That waters been pretty kind to matt I believe 😎 amazingly the wife was only saying the other day she hasn't seen much of matt & mick on TV, has I used to have it on all the time, great to see them together again they are proper legends of the sport, not sure about the singing though 😂👍

The memories of watching these two on wet nets, record breaking fish , the great rod race, total fishing and mainstream! Life did seem a bit easier then. I used to look forward to Friday nights when they used to show hours of fishing on one of the sky channels. Thanks for everything

Might be a normal fishing trip. But it is nice to see every fish beeing appreciated. Plenty of people have lost touch always aiming for bigger. And beeing dissapointed when it isnt a new pb.
