Lol here in my state in Australia, there’s a radio station that lets callers tell the radio station’s audience about their business FOR FREE but the catch is they have to explain their business in fifteen seconds. Some people do a great pitch but waste time at the beginning saying “hello how are you?” To the hosts and so run out of time and haven’t mentioned what the name of their store is or where to find them, either physically or online.

I'm pretty sure that's the subtext of the video.Ryan has always been really clever about having a deeper meaning hidden inside the obvious message of the sketch. He's also a pretty damn good actor, as foot note. His comedic timing is perfect and delivery is always on par. The man is truly an unsung hero.

More like stretch the truth. It's sort of against the law to lie about what you're selling. but you can show that it's bigger than it actually is as long as you tell people about it. That's why commercials have small writing on the screen and it moves at a fast past so you won't notice.
Actually, I think the first commercial would really appeal to millennials. There's something both funny and refreshing about an ad that's so straightforward.

Coming back and watching this makes me realise just how meta Ryan's sketches can get. We already know he's playing the roles of all these characters in the Ryan-verse, and some of those characters have fake moustaches... So when Michael Pickleseller was acting as a character in his own ad, in order to simulate a fake moustache for that character, he had to tape it to his face, because properly applied fake moustaches are already used to represent real people in the "Ryan-verse".
So some might just see this character as a quick joke about poorly produced ads, but it's also a meta reference to the fact that Ryan is creating worlds within worlds... "It's fake moustaches all the way down".
Ryan did a backflip and snapped the commercial's neck.
