  • Hi guys! So here's what happened... Oardio Singapore sent me the BGVP DN2 on loan for 2 weeks for me to give an opinion on it. Initial expectations were low based on the fit issues of the BGVP Zero. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to hear how well tuned the DN2 is. Comfort is excellent with the L sized blue "bass" tips. Check out the video to hear what else stood out and why I think this is quite a keeper.
    Thank you Oardio Singapore ( oardio.sg/ ) for kindly providing this review unit for 2 weeks for me to try and give my opinion on it. Oardio and BGVP provided no monetary compensation to Budget Audio Reviews and was afforded no preview or copy approval rights concerning this content.

    hi bro, from your opinion, do you think bass heads will survive with dn2? i like little bit warm and sub bass signature with good treble detail and clarity, currently considering to order TFZ No. 3 as it have strong sub bass and good detail. After watching your video, man you just love this pair so much! Makes me think to get this one or the TFX No. 3. Help me!

      Hi bro, I really love the bass and the whole timbre and note weight that the DN2 can deliver. But for now, BGVP has stopped production of the DN2. They're sorting out the right side mmcx issue and also the recent fiasco over their drivers not having any beryllium coating at all. Besides the point of the beryllium issue, it is indeed a well tuned iem and also very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately it is not in production for the moment.

    Nice review,! I think this IEM will fit my taste too. Especially the impact of kick drum and the weight of the cymbals did it for me. I will order these.

    Hows the topend detail esp with vocal tips. Also does it have the same strange lower treble dip as the zero?

      From memory, top end detail is great! No lower treble dip like the Zero. I think the electrostatic driver on the Zero makes for that unique sound quality.

      Thanks for the review once again. Ive played with it for a couple of days now and ive got to say that the vocal extension on the dn2 is insane. I dont think ive encountered iems in this price range that has treble presense into the 15khz air area. A definite buy for me. I do hope that bgvp adds a second phoenix ba to help deal with cluttered tracks as songs with more than 4 distinct tones handled by the ba kind of gets bleed into each other.
      Kind of a pitty only vocal tips works for me. Bass and normal tips has too much upper bass bleed for my taste. That being said the slam is still very good with vocal tips and i would say even thighter than the bass tips that gives this reverb effect.

      Glad you love it! Be careful of the mmcx connector. The female side on the IEM for mine got pulled out. Sending it back for warranty. An unfortunate incident. I probably used too much force.

    how fun is it compared to cca ca16? does it pack even more energy?

    • @BudgetAudioChrono
      @BudgetAudioChrono  Před 3 lety

      Much better than CA16. More textured, more dynamic, more energy. CA16 seems a little sterile and flat. And the mids on the CA16 is more recessed. You heve have to keep pumping the volume up to enjoy it.

      @@BudgetAudioChrono Yeah, It's kinda weird that ppl say that CA16 has good mids. For me the vocal feels kinda veiled, forward enough but isn't satisfying since other frequencies are more dominant.
      Thanks, I'll put this set into consideration.

    • @BudgetAudioChrono
      @BudgetAudioChrono  Před 3 lety

      @@eznoir it's got ok mids for that type of tuning. I feel the CA16 just needs a little boost in the mids and mid bass. You probably could EQ it slightly and see what happens. But on hindsight in comparison to the DN2, I'd go straight to the DN2.

    • @eznoir
      @eznoir Před 3 lety +1

      @@BudgetAudioChrono Yeah it's on okay level, not bad at all. But that still disappoint me since I bought it after some ppl said it has good mids lol.
      I was still pretty happy because the drum sounds so fun on CA16 since I have no other set that makes drums sound this fun (I usually only aim for vocals). But in the end I still sold it due fitting issue lol. The fin hurts, I won't buy anything with fin anymore.
      Now I'm looking for other set around the same price level, glad I found this review. I'll wait for it to be available on local store.
