  • This is the best upgrade (aside from a fork upgrade) for the Trek Marlin or any entry-level mountain bike. Of course, this upgrade could be done on a BMX Bike, dirt jumper, road bike, etc.
I will be lacing the rim to a Profile Racing "classic mtb hub". Profileracing.com/store/
Disclaimer: I recommend watching other wheel building videos (with more details) to get an accurate and detailed list of steps on how to lace and true a wheel. This video is for informational purposes only. Work on your bike at your own risk.
Good luck on your next project!

Ok so on the 9th spoke which you said was going in the hole to the left of the first spoke and you ended up not going in the hole specified with no explanation why?

The only problem with a profile hub is that you have to keep replacing the bike its on as they wear out like tires, and you're reminded of your own frail mortality as you age over the lifespan of the hub.

So true. This hub has already been on 3 bikes.

Good video but can barely hear your lacing instructions over the music...video would be 100x better without it.
