Don't you ever apologise for your emotions Salty. We truly appreciate you and your honest reactions. What makes this song powerful for me is that Ronnie wrote this song in prison while looking at himself in the mirror. The drug in him, is him. He was his own worst enemy back then. He knew he needed to change. Look into Ronnies history and his music hits very hard. Next up is Popular Monster.
I still cry to this song. Way too relatable for me and it humbles me everytime I listen to it. I balled my eyes out when I figured out he wrote this song about his inner demon. It has nothing to do with a woman and that broke me down hard-core. You are the shit sir!!! Thank you for showcasing ronnie to others!!!
The second verse always gets me... I discovered this song a week or two after I lost my little brother last year. He was only 20 years old and ultimately took his own life. I feel the helplessness that rings out within the vocals here... The connections I made with this song and Revamped led me to become a fan of Falling In Reverse. I'm going to see them live today and I cannot wait.

This song makes me cry too, every time. It has a very personal connection for me with something a close family member went through. My eyes start watering at 'I'm so high on misery'.
Nothing I say can help with the pain you feel, I know that. I've lost my grandfather, aunt, mother, and father all to the same thing, cancer related to smoking.

Thank you Salty. You just transported me back to the first time I ever saw and heard this masterpiece when I had much the same emotional reaction. I'm sorry you have had such a personal connection but that is the beauty of music of this calibre...it sucks you into your own pain, the pain of a loved one or the artist's pain. In my case, it was Ronnie's pain that was so difficult for me to handle and I had no idea who he was at the time. Thank goodness he did conquer his addictions but my oh goodness, it spawned some incredible songs.
So amazing that the pain we feel in life brings us closer to the music we hear.

I bawled like a baby for at least the first dozen times I watched this and I'm not a crier, AT ALL. Ronnie has a way of making people feel his songs, he makes experiences not songs! Dammit, you had me crying right along with you! He has a way of evoking that emotion in his songs, doesn't he?! I agree with MaryLynn, Popular Monster is one that deals with depression and anxiety, and it's a friggin' banger of a song, but when you dive into the lyrics, it's rough, especially if you've ever had anyone in your life that has dealt with depression. Definitely worth a listen! If you want to get into Ronnie's back story, you could also do the Trilogy: Losing My Mind, Losing My Life and Drugs. Then again, don't neglect Jinjer and Electric Callboy (hint: EC is much more light-hearted and fun). Loving your reactions as usual! Thanks for being so relatable and keep up the great work!

(i’m almost straight-out sobbing right now, and it’s 03:00 fucking AM.) this was my most played song on spotify last year for a reason. i still listen to it multiple times daily. every single day. and just as i said in your revamp-reaction: watching you experience this masterpiece for the first time makes it feel like I’M experiencing it for the first time… which feels like an actual blessing for me, considering i’ve watched this video hundreds of times and listened to it on spotify even more. it’s heartwarming, and i’m grateful for it-truly.🥰

As someone who dealt with depression for decades, I can truly say this song hits hard. Fortunately, it was something I was finally able to kick. Honestly, I thought it was going to be something I had to deal with forever. I used to like to try to place blame on others, the world, and situations as to why I felt the way I did. Little did I know the key was within me all along. Once I hit bottom, and I wasn’t able to suppress my feelings with drugs, I found I was the only one to blame. I had to accept responsibility for why I was where I was, and why I felt the way I did. My life took a drastic turn for the better. In fact, even though I can’t remember the date when I came to these conclusions, I know it fell between Falling in Reverse’s Popular Monster and this song. I don’t miss it in the least. Even if you aren’t into screaming in music; I think the way Ronnie conveyed these lyrics in the beginning is beautifully haunting, and culminating into the screams at the end where you can truly FEEL the anguish in his voice is amazing. I love songs that hit home when you listen to them, it just adds so much to the music and helps heal the soul.

I love how Ronnie took the guitar solo from the first one and turned it into a piano solo in this one. Always amazes me how the lyrics are exactly the same yet feel so different. Younger Ronnie probably couldn't quite express his true emotions and masked them under the more upbeat track.

I really felt the emotions in this and idk exactly what you're uncle went through but being 24 I'm in a situation where idk when or where I'm gonna go, so seeing this really reminded me of my family and especially the affect it would have on my nieces and nephews, thank you for being so honest and upfront with your emotions in this video
You can really tell that Ronnie has a love and respect for classical music with this song and also with I am not a vampire revamped. He has a beautiful voice also. He can really hit you in the feels. Listening to this makes me feel like I'm watching a play on stage.

Sorry to hear about your uncle. I feel what you went through as I am currently going through it with my mom and it is very hard because she doesn't want to admit she has a problem. When you say there was nothing you could do about it that is the hardest part for me because I want her to be happy and to get better so I still try my best to get her to see that. I am sorry about your uncle. Ronnie got clean, but so many do not. My husband did it, but he was my third and neither of the other two could quit. I have this stupid pattern of thinking I could "help" them and you really cannot help except to be supportive, but avoid enabling. I was extremely lucky not to get the third divorce, but it was wholly due to his decision to stop, not really anything I did. Now, I have no real complaints. We have been married 27 years.
However, it was wonderful watching this song again through your eyes as if it was new. Such a great song and Ronnie's vocals are amazing. There are many reactions to this from vocal coaches and they love it so it isn't just us.
It is so interesting how the meaning of the same words changes in the two different songs. I think it sounds like it goes from I can't believe I'm actually meant to be here (in trouble, in court, in prison) to I can't believe I'm actually meant to be here (on this earth).
And yes, another Wagyu Brisket 10 song from Ronnie. I am sure he would be thrilled with your reaction if he gets a chance to see it.
