    You are the very wealthy bugger that signs these, and you deserve every penny! Thanks for all the great music since I discovered Tull back in 79 when I played my Dad's Aqualung one rainy afternoon. I have been hooked ever since. 😀👍

    What we need are epic concerts on blu-ray, dvd or CD. Complete concerts on video from eras where there is a gap: 1975, 1976, 1989, 1991, etc...
    But in any case, he sells and everyone is free to buy or not. No one is forced to.

    Anything for a buck. Maybe Ian is jealous of Elon and Jeff and wants to start his own space program? It would be nice if some of the profits went to Burton Silverman ( artist of the Aqualung album ) without whom I would have never stopped to look at or bought my first Jethro Tull album.

    • @denniskelley8974
      @denniskelley8974 Před 2 lety +3

      Well, I hate to say it, but I think a little cynicism is warranted. Upwards of $2,000 for the set? I mean, in my opinion Jethro Tull was the best band of all time during their prime. And I'll add, I consider Ian Anderson to be the single greatest all-around musical genius EVER. But having said that, I just can't quite understand the pricing of this (admittedly very nice ) art set. My guess is that the vast majority of lifelong Tull fans can't even come close to affording this. So... sad to say, but these will likely wind up in the hands of collectors/speculators, NOT fans.

    • @BobC59
      @BobC59 Před 2 lety

      @@denniskelley8974 I have to agree with you, except that many fans are collectors and vice-versa. But yeah, it would kinda suck to just end up in speculators' hands when many Tull aficionados would love to have a set. But who's to say many of them/us have not done well financially and will jump at the chance to own them?
      I guess ya gotta look at it and ask, "What is a price that reflects their specialness and rarity while being neither "cheap" nor exorbitant?".
      I think its cool they're out there for someone to enjoy, but I wouldn't know how to display/enjoy them if Idid shell out the cash.
