Erin holding the world she’s in to the standards of her own world is kinda what that world needs. I can totally understand that being annoying though. Glad you’re enjoying the series!
Hey there Clay! Yes, you are completely right, and it is probably just me being a little nitpicky. There is a definite need for justice in this world that Erin is able to fulfill. Overall, Erin is a wonderful character to read, and I can truly say I have never seen a protagonist like her.
Erin is definitely top 3 for me, she is extraordinary. The fact she cries and then stands up in the face of what she sees as injustice makes her incredible. She doesn’t bow to the pressure of others and others ideas - always true to her hearts feelings. And the way she solves problems and causes chaos is so unique, I haven’t read a book where a genuinely powerful main character is a 21 yr old woman who’s a goddamn innkeeper 😂. She solves issues creatively and uses her friendships and empathy as weapons more effective than any sword. Idk shes remarkable, first time in fantasy (ESPECIALLY anime/videogame esque fantasy)I’ve read such a compelling feminine character. Pyrite still #1 tho
I have definitly come back around to enjoy Erin's character. Especially after book 11 where she really began to shine again. You are right on the money with Pyrite though!
So many amazing characters are ahead. Saliss of lights, Grimalkin the fist mage. Maviola El. Fehotep the ruler of undying Khelt. And so many other amazing characters. I was stunned when I was rereading the story about how late some of them had appeared and started to shine.
I’ve only done the first audiobook maybe I should wait for this? I love Erin, but also when her and Ryoka spend a literal hour whining about stuff it really grates at me. But the book is so good overall I quickly get over it. Also, in the first book, it mentioned a lot in the “narrators” voice how everyone sees her as such a bright and happy person, but almost every interaction she has with anyone except the antinium and the goblins she comes across as a very unpleasant person and she always hits people when they displease her. It’s not endearing and my husband and I both would look at each other like, “everyone thinks she’s a pleasant person and brightens up a room?” Honestly on the first book I liked almost every side character more than I liked the two mains. But even with all this I somehow found myself crying multiple times and can’t wait for my next credit from audible 😂
It would not be the worst idea to give this video a book or two so you would know most of the mamas. Though, I tried my best to keep large spoolers off of the video!. Feel free to swing back through to the channel for future videos though!

I also like (in no order) The Florist, Toren, Rags, Erin, Ceria, Lyonette, Fetohep, Maviola, and the rats. Really, I love all the characters. I may not like some of them, but they have their moments. Except Persua, fuck her, lol.

I'm sorry to say I haven't watched any of the wandering inn vids yet because of spoilers. Probably won't for another 2 months. Been reading it for about 2-4 hours a day for the last 2 months and on now got to volume 5 today. Anyways keep up the good work.
So I try to do a spoiler free summary during the beginning, and half way through switch to the deep dive with the spoilers! So keep that in mind if you would like to check them out. Either way, I really do appreciate you checking out the channel!

You are completely right Primo. My list is 100% my favorites. To be honest, I do not know how I would making unbiased list without conducting a survey, which would not be a bad idea. To do so, I would need to increase my audience to get a larger sample size! I like your options though!
I don't think I am far enough into the series to really appreciate Toren enough. They have been fairly absent the last few books I have read, though I look forward o seeing their character grow!
@@FantasyInk toren has a fairly outsized significance in early volumes, at the inn, and the dungeon. then he is kinda absent a long time. he recurs but is not a more significant character. i still have hopes 🙂

But yeah the audiobooks are great. I'm dreading the moment I finish them and have to carry on reading on the website: particularly given how expertly Andrea Parsneau narrates them.
