Longest book series doesn't make it good. The characters are terrible, the story arcs aren't even really arcs. It just bounces around, explores a few things, and then forgets it ever happened. The author has no plan, no storyboard laid out, they just drink caffeine and type words. The author even went back and rewrote book one and it's still garbage. Author is a man hating ignoramus who goes by their 2012 4chan name.

Have you read the follow up series to Percy Jackson and the Olympains? Love how Rick Riordan mixes in new mytholgy and characters definitely worth a read/listen

If you're a fan of whitty main flawed leads i would reccomend Skullduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy

I was waiting to see if they turned up, but i can't recommend his Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullmam enough if you've not read it.

The poppy war ? I havnt read it but it bbeat "The Mother of Learning" ? Which is the one of the greatest novel of all time, imo. Damn

WoT is an all-time favorite for me. Haven’t read The Wandering Inn, but I’m very interested. To rank tWI over WoT - well, wow… lol. That’s a high compliment to it!

Great timing, I am literally reading it right now (while having YT in the background). I am 25% in and enjoy it a lot so far. Lots of chuckles.

The Wandering Inn > The Wheel of Time

KDT became my favorite series instantly. So much flavor from character to character. And Nick Podehl's voices for each character are wonderful if you are a Audiobook reader

Dawn of the void is superb. It has a hyper real quality you don’t normally get in a LITRPG, it’s just as fantastical but grounded in real people with complicated lives. Tom Taylorson voices it in the audio book. I cannot overstate this. It is a masterclass performance. His range of voices, the depth of his voices, the fact that he can voice a character that sounds exactly like he’s described to look. The difference between his various voices is startling. And finally the main characters voice, the timber of it is something else. I became a Tom Taylorson Fan Boi and now tops my top 5 list of best voice actors. Astoundingly well done.

The betrayal i felt when you bumped TWI! I've read Dungeon crawler carl and its good, but not the endless fun that is TWI. I'm willing to bet in a couple more books your feelings will change about that one. I havent read the jade or tidings so ill have to check those out. My expectations will be as high as possible though... I'm trusting you.

Good choices. I read all the series but Buymort and enjoyed them a lot. A few things: Dead Tired: The MC actually wanted to sleep till the heat death of the world, but when he gets awoken, his curious mind makes him take a stroll through the "new" world Reborn: Apocalypse has four book out, I am pretty sure. Recommendation as always: Apocalypse Redux

I supported the author for many months on Patreon, but after spending a very, very long time on an arc I disliked immensely, I stopped reading and then stopped paying.

I am reading Solo Leveling online I read the first to books and I plan to get through the rest this month before I watch the anime, so far the manga series is so good I am loving it 😊

I just checked, I have it on my goodreads wishlist already. Considering I already have 253 books bought and downloaded, I am never sure when I get around to read something :D

Omg!! This book was GRUELING!!! I had *really* hoped that Lakin would side WITH the goblins! It tore my heart out that they were fighting/dying. I will begin The Wind Runner soon, and I hope your TWI content continues!

I was surprised by the Sebastien de Castell because Matt's Fantasy Book Review rated it pretty low. He agreed that it started out great, but he said it got very boring and the "buddy" element ended(?) Idk, but you might check out his review and compare what you think. (It's always fascinating to me how different people have such different reactions to the same books! Also, where is THE WANDERING INN??? I thought you were loving it?! I just finished Tears of Liscor (and there were MANY tears!) I'm actually getting very sad that I'm so close to "catching up" now. I hope pirateaba continues to write for decades to come!

I got the book on audible. And I made it about 26 hours into the "book" I was really hoping the misandry would leave or that the characters would grow out of their hatred of men. However, as the book progressed I came to realize that it wasn't only the characters that hated men, but the author as well. And as I stated in my review. I've read anti-woman pamphlets that had treated women better than this "book" treats its men. 0/10 Abysmal book. Would not recommend.

All the Skills is excellent. I'm waiting for the audio version of Book 4, but the first three books were very well written. I liked Life Reset, but I didn't love it after the first book. I'll probably read the next book in the series, but it's not at the top of my TBR right now. Others: I just finished Warlord of the Circle Sea, Ember Lane - it's an empire-building LitRPG with quite good writing in the first several books. The last book felt rushed, which is unfortunate, since it began brilliantly. I'm reading Book 3 of The Path of Ascension, C. Mantis, right now. So far the first book was very good, the second book fell back a bit, and the third book is a bit better than book 2. If you're looking for something lighter, Beware of Chicken, CasualFarmer, is really enjoyable as well.

This was my second cultivation series I ever read and didn’t quite understand the first time through. Now I have read a bunch of series Some of my favorite cultivation series: heretical fishing, very similar to BOC. The heavenly throne is great and has similarities to cradle but the scale gets a bit too big by book 11-12. Threads of fate is a solid series but still pretty early in the story. One of my favorites is when immortal ascension fails time travel and try again, this series is only on royal road but the story and perspective are unique and exciting. Finally Ave xia rem y is solid but also only on royal road and Patreon. Also obviously Beware of chicken, unintended cultivators, cradle and thousand li are included in this list but more well known. If you liked any of these four the other recommendations will suit you well.

I read two books. Every plot point or side character built up in book 1 was dropped for book 2. I lost interest once I thought the plot or side characters wouldn't matter. If the world building was more interesting I might have read another but it was still pretty shallow by the end of book 2. But it is harder to world build with only one viewpoint.

I really didn't like the stile of the first book and didn't finish it. My brother read it too and he liked it and the later books but he told me that the plot gets ridiculous and that there are a lot of plot holes. I would rather read another book of the Wandering Inn.

Hey mate. New sub here. I've loved this series for years and I'm glad to see it getting more of the attention it deserves. Another series I can't stop recommending Is "The DIRE saga" by Andrew seiple narrated by Any Mcfadden. It's easily a top 10 series for me maybe even top 5

I got the audiobook its awesome becuase I would be annoyed reading it personally I dont like gamer system stories you will find in web novel because its annoying to read but hearing an audio version helps however I feel like Orin is op very early on and while Im not finished I really hope Orin can become his own Nightwing or Red hood and create his own legacy. Orin reminds me of Neville Longbottom meets Loki and that makes me root for him. That being said characters like Maddie can really be annoying

I've been devouring TWI since November, and I'm nearly caught up. (I would be caught up, but I have to wait for my Audible credits to hit. 😂 I did use some Christmas money to buy extra credits so I could power through more of it.

Sad to see the dresden files go out so early, one of my favorite series.

I would have included the King of Destruction somewhere in there
