About Maude: Gutsy, smart, outspoken, and liberal -- all are terms that describe Beatrice Arthur in the title role of the TV series that spun off from the popular All in the Family. Well-educated and upper-middle-class, Maude Findlay is the archetypal feminist of her generation. She lives in suburban Tuckahoe, New York, with her fourth husband, Walter (Bill Macy), their divorced daughter, Carol (Adrienne Barbeau), and grandson Phillip. The cast also includes Rue McClanahan as Maude's best friend Vivian; Walter's best friend and neighbor Dr. Arthur Harmon (Conrad Bain); and over the course of the series, three different maids (Esther Rolle, Hermione Baddeley and Marlene Warfield). Tough issues like abortion, alcoholism, women's liberation, menopause and politics are all fodder for the show's sharp wit and social commentary.

"I've never said that standing up, and you know it"
The way I gasped and screamed 😆
😂
John Amos is such a great actor. They all were outstanding. Such a wonderful show.
I love him. He was funny on Mary Tyler Moore too
Yeah why did Good Times dump him like that? He was good
The “drag her butt” line was genius. 😂😂
Maude funny af😭🤣🤣
Walter " so what maude you told me a hundred times you want to feel possessed"
Maude " walter Finley you know good and well I've never said that standing up and you know it" 😭🤣
I love Maude
I love that part 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How I adore Esther Rolle, my tv mom.. a superb actress, always a pleasure to watch ❤️
Bea Arthur should have done a guest shot on Good Times. Maybe it could have been a dream Florida was having or something.
"Damn it, Florida. You're too slow." LOL
"Isn't that adorable, they found eachother" XD
Can she claim extra unemployment for being fired from 3 jobs? 😆😂🤣
Before it was James Evans it was Henry Evans on that show .
James Evans Sr.
James Henry Evans, little known fact 🤫 😉 😂
Henry James Evans Sr. This was his way telling Maude and Walter he’s moving to Chicago .
I can't seem to get the theme song out of my head!!! ❤️
This episode of Maude was, ( STILL is ), one of my *favorite* episodes ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! 🤗
I ESPECIALLY loved when James yelled, *FLORIDA* , to get her attention ! ! ! ! ! ! 😂😆😂🤣
I think this episode was in 1973, right around the time the 1972 Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) was passed.
when Maude tries using black slang 😂
Great episode!
I watched this via Amazon Prime 😍
Love this show and Good Times.
“Walter, the last king in this country was Kong, and he was shot off the Empire State Building for being less of a drag than you are right now. He was also a lot more attractive.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I almost couldn’t tell whether it was Maude or Dorothy for a second. LOL
Walter really was the woman in that relationship.
Maude against James was Great
I would never get married to be bossed around and yelled at. Yeah right Boy!!!
I feel bad for Walter married to a feminist who is abusive
What LmAo
My favorite episode!
In My Book It Was A Maude/Good Times Crossover
Im not sure why they changed his name from Henry to James
I never knew these shows combined in an episode
More than one episode
Good Times spun off from Maude 💯🥰
'Good Times' is actually a spin-off of 'Maude.'
I love this series
Perfect channel
Gibt es die Serie auch in Deutsch?
Wonder why the change from Henry Evans to James Evans?
Didn’t they post this already.
I like James better than Henry.
This is old school
Amanzing channel very funny
I love how this is already beyond colour and all about the same problem still raging on today: gender equity. Women in many countries are still at a disadvantage to men: legally, financially, and socially.
Henry pays the cost to be the boss! Florida needs to learn! 😆
Does anyone know why his name was changed to James?
Henry was recycled as his fathers name. In my head cannon I assumed he was Henry James Evans. The entire family history of living in Tuckahoe was erased for Good Times as well.
@@Mxyzptlksac and they changed his profession from firefighter to car wash attendant or something like that.
@@skeeta1068 construction worker i think.
@sroevukasroevuka for most of the show he was a car wash attendant. The job that they were going to move to Mississippi for (and what ultimately killed him) was construction.
Henry , not James though 😮

Kan. I knew I would find a brew in this section somewhere. Shalom ahk.

1 Corinthians 7:4
King James Version
4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
Reads like a possession to me.
Henry???
His name was James, not Henry.
Not on Maude , where his character originated
When feminism was a TV show
Maude, the beginning of the end when it comes to the nuclear family. Our youth and society were much better off when the mom stayed home. Women went out to work and paid a daycare to raise the children
Not true I'm. I think the 90s really ruin the whole nuclear family. Rap culture became very popular it should have been something that was nice or Urban Music but it should have never become what it has become. People literally follow it. I feel like every moment can be hijacked and I definitely feel like the feminist movement the black movement has all been hijacked even the lgbtq movement. I believe people take stuff and if so many people get involved so many people get to push their agendas and pushing multiple agendas at the same time never ends well. I don't think this show was about ruining the nuclear family I think it was just about talking about women's rights.
And cavemen shed their goatskins when the climate warmed, in case you have not noticed.
Ok boomer.
